I've been waiting for your reactions! I'm so happy to see you guys retained hype for the story after all these years! Season 2 of Tower of God is one of my favorite medias of fictions. Can't wait to see your reactions to it too! Also this isn't spoilers since the manhwa established is during the princess scene, but the anime removed the dialogue, 6 years have passed since season 1.
It's rare to see reactors who haven't been spoiled at all, so that was a pleasant surprise! Yes, you're not supposed to know that's Bam up until he gets the flashback with Rachel. I remember reading ahead in the manwha and having no idea the dark mysterious guy was Bam. The art in the manwha made his features undiscernible. The shock at realizing it was him sadly can't be replicated in anime since it's a lot more obvious with the hair and eye colors and a lot of people were spoiled by the trailers + opening. You guys haven't been spoiled so it was nice seeing your reaction to that!
Repellista is an anomaly, we have no idea how strong she's supposed to be, we only know a few information from outside the manhwa, stated by the author. She's not a ranker, she hasn't climbed the tower (the simple act of becoming a ranker gives you tremendous power, on top of the power you get during your climb of the tower), she's not even a regular, she's just a normal person who hasn't started to climb. But also, she's a princess of Jahad (as shown by Yuri calling her her sister), and she's such an incredible lightbearer that Yuri Ha, a monstrous Ranker, came to her for information instead of any number of Lightbearer Rankers. We don't know if she's just a great lightbearer with no combat ability (although being a princess of Jahad reinforces her body, and being such a great lightbearer probably requires immense Shinsu control so it's hard to see how those wouldn't translate into fighting abilities) or if she's a complete anomaly who's stronger than she has any right to be. To give you an idea of how monstrous the difference between rankers and non ranker is supposed to be, there's only one recorded instance of a regular beating a ranker in the entire history of the tower (and it was a regular who was close to the end of their climb). Rankers should be god-like figures even when compared to the strongest of regulars. So it's hard to imagine how strong Repellista might be when she's not even a regular.

Guys maybe you forget the hierachy system. RANKERS and REGULARS. Rankers are people who have finished climbing the tower. They are SENIORS and their testing/exam days are over. Baam is still on REGULAR level. Baam might have become stronger but that doesn't mean nobody can beat him anymore. Baam still need a lot of power.
The power scale will be clear soon enough for anime watchers. e rank regulars may be much stronger than the f ranks from season 1 but stil a loooooong way to go before reaching ranker level.
