    Glad to see new video again Chuck🥰 it would be awsome if you can add some green gravel or stone in some bowls to bring out those colors from these echeveria. it will also bring the charm from the field from the previous video.

      We will play with that idea when we get to put in the fillers! I don't have green gravel but I have something else in mind... 😁

    Please do also include the ruby necklace string plant. It wl compliment the colours of the bumpy echeverias. And its also my fave string plant. The arrangement is already looking beautiful!

    Just thinking...that's a very highly organic mix you use, do you not find it problematic? Have you considered this as a contributing factor to this area remaining wet?
    60/40 or 70/30 may be a better ratio if this area is prone to flooding, in addition to the elevation work to combat this problem. Just my observation and solution I found for a garden bed with drainage issues I have here in se melb.

      Also, your plant choices are 👌so far, so beautiful!

      My previous mix had way more gravel than this. The tendency is then for these clay pots to drain and dry out quickly. It gets really annoying during summer when the echeveria in the pots are actively growing never seem to be hydrated enough despite the rains. So for the porous pots, I have elected to go more organic this time and see how it would go.

    Is the soil you have used in the pots not too organic? It looks like there is more soil than scoria in the big pots. I would be concerned of rot through too much water retention.

      The last mix I had in those bowls didn't retain enough water. The walls were too porous and the plants tend to be dehydrated. Thiught I would be trying out a less draining mix for the bowls this time.

      @@Cerriscapades I see makes sense to experiment then. I also have to try out a more organic mix for the plants in my greenhouse. When the sun is shining it easily gets to 30°C+ and I cannot water the plants enough.

      I am being careful and doing it on the plants I know can take it though. Also I was planning on adding some trailing plants around some of the feature plants, the water will definitely be used up quick!

    Hello, I'm Korean. I would really appreciate it if you could set the subtitles to be translated into Korean and viewed.

      I'll see what I can do with the future videos. Adding subtitles takes some effort especially since it's not usually part of my workflow.

    What kind of soil are you using?

    • @Cerriscapades
      @Cerriscapades  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is regular garden soil that you van get in bulk, and I mix it with scoria since scoria is plentiful where I am.
