You were the first vintage toyhunting and toy history channel I watched. And I got influenced by your videos way before I started watching The Game Chasers, Pixel Dan and all those other great channels. So I found out about them because if your videos. And to me your channel always felt a little more relatable since you're from Europe 😅 (like me) I love that this is like a tribute to the channels that influenced you big times. Even this compilation here is a tribute to what The Game Chasers are doing with their complete season videos. Just wanted to say THANK YOU.👍 Sorry for the super long text. No need to answer back. You should definitely hit up Boston. There are lots of great toy and collectible stores in Massachusetts, and I'm sure Dan from Toy Galaxy would be happy to hang out with you guys, as well.
Awesome hunts! Really cool to hear you’ll be in the Chicago area, and at the Kane County Toy Show this year! I love that show, and it’s absolutely incredible! I live in the west suburbs of Chicago, so as far as good toy stores in the area, I really like Geek Toy Hut in Arlington Heights. It’s not a very big store, but it has some amazing rare vintage figures, including Tytus and Megator in box! A small but good selection of TMNT as well. Another good one is WaxPax in Roselle. Also a small store, but just jam-packed with vintage toys!
I enjoyed seeing the Sectaurs in the last clip. Sectaurs is one of my favorite underappreciated vintage toy lines. I mean, what other toy line was created by a Muppet puppeteer? Well, discounting Boglins anyway, which were also done by Tim Clarke. But as a kid, Sectaurs was amazing, even if I was too young for them. True, I usually thought they were MOTU figures (in my defense, Buzz Off REALLY looks like a Sectaur), but whatever. I played with my Hyve playset with basically every other toy line of my childhood, from GI Joe and TMNT to the Toy Biz Marvel lines, simply because it was so well designed. Even lame toys looked awesome when you displayed them in front of it. I always considered it vastly superior to Grayskull or Snake Mountain. Epic line. ...Just so long as you aren't looking for those wings. Even as a kid, I knew those things were FRAGILE. You looked at them wrong and they'd break.
@@EdsRetroGeekOut They were also planning on doing giant worms that the Sectaurs could ride on. There's Coleco concept art for it out there, planned for a phase 3 or 4 release but ultimately never made. I don't think it's too much of an exaggeration to say that a giant Sectaurs caterpillar (called the "Cargopillar") and evil snake worm monster would have been mankind's greatest achievement as a species. :)
Dang it man I was at the toy show today in Chicago I drove up from Indiana and I didn’t know you were going to be there I would have loved the chance to meet you you’re one of my favorite TH-camrs I hope you enjoyed the show and found some really cool things
When you’re in the Chicago area, if you come into the city there’s Quake Collectibles on 4628 N Lincoln Ave. They have tons of stuff to dig through. There’s also Ka-Pow Collectibles on 711 W Belmont Ave. Both are good if you have the time to check them out. 👾
since you are going to be in chicago im guessing that means you will be traveling down through indiana. im also guessing you will be hitting up kokomo toys but dont miss out on two very cool toy stores in and around lafayette indiana one is infinity collectibles in downtown lafayette and my favorite toy store The Romney Toy Shop which is in romney indiana about ten minutes outside of lafayette tell Terry the owner that Tom Perry sent you. the creator of Warlords of Wor Brandon Barker also lives in lafayette indiana. indianapolis also has sever comic book shops the best being hero house comics and they have the toy pit which is a great toy shop and check out the various huge fleamarkets in indy they have tons of toys too. if you guys need a guide just let me know.
oh yeah and of course narc knows the louisville antique toy mall which is crazy too and the shops nearby are worth checking out. there is a big fleamarket between indy and louisville called exit 76 antique mall which usually has a ton of toys.
