I cannot believe you found an Andy Capp doll in a yard sale in the USA. I am from Hartlepool,, which is a small fishing town in England, which is the town where Reg Smythe, the creator of Andy Capp, is from and we have a statue of Andy in Regs honour. So happy to see that you picked it up and bought it and it was not thrown away or anything.

Easy way to get yellowing off a white tee shirts is to get the area wet, then take regular household bleach like HiLex and rub that on with a toothbrush. Be careful to not get any on the graphics. Then holding the shirt upside down just rinse it out under the faucet. I once bought my husband a $60 Polo shirt in mint condition except for a little blood - less then a size of a dime on the sleeve. I bought it for 50 cents. I actually laid it over the bleach bottle opening, turned it upside down and it disappeared in front of my eyes. Try it on an old shirt of yours before you do it on one you want to sale. Or buy an old white tee shirt at a sale and practice. You’ll get the hang of it and be happy that you did. I have saved so many white shirts, tees, tops, over the years. Good luck. Hope this hint makes you happy.

Nice well manicured lawns. Nice neighborhood. Hope you found lots of
    treasures.

My favorite find from a yard sale was an unopened E.T. VHS tape I still have it unopened and the box is in amazing shape

When I have a yard sale the highest I sell item for is $1 to $50 dollar.
