    I no longer feel Proud to be a citizen of this beautiful country. A country with the best people and so much potential but I can no longer keep fearing for my life at 2000 in the evening at traffic lights and wondering if I could get robbed and killed. I hate what South Africa has become. An amazing land ruined by the ANC so so sad

    Why are the names of these ministers not being made public?! What's the point of having all this information and not putting it out to the public. Stop being cowards, name and shame!!

      Naming any person needs hard evidence that can be presented in court, currently there's no evidence there's only hear say.

    • @MrSquirrel1693
      @MrSquirrel1693 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think they aren't named because they want proper hard evidence first. Otherwise the named ministers can cover their tracks if they know they are being investigated.

      In my opinion Eskom is SA money laundering house , It is being used to generate money for the people who pay the donorships (R30 Bil diesel relief fund ? ) , you know those cardboard boxes we pick up for years after elections on the floor ? They pay those.
      How does no one ever stop and say WDF I vote for the people who are supposed to clean the place that dont and still leave their boxes lying around ... o wait maby thats all they do for the homeless people they got to be homeless due to years and years of propaganda ?

      An honest question, what do law abiding citizens do?

    • @grumpiebrown
      @grumpiebrown ปีที่แล้ว

      True .. but the real cause of Eskom's mess is the ruling political party behind it.

    • @meme5546
      @meme5546 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Eskom is only the tip of the iceburg when it gets to the real mess. Infrastructure and state owned enterpise are all part of this sinking ship. Eskom is just the one that stands out as it affect us directly the most. But there is a lot more where this comes from. Roads, water, universities, SAA, PRASA etc. its all going where Eskom is going. I can go as far as to say it has nothing to do with Eskom, Eskom is not the common denominator here, but just one of the institutions affected by a much bigger, widespread problem in this country. Saving Eskom will help, but we have a far way to go to get this country on the right path. I am also sure it will never be in the ability of our politicians to make that change, regardless of the talk they talk they lost control of the situation. The solution will most likely come from the bottom up and not from the top down.

    • @s-theo-za7879
      @s-theo-za7879 ปีที่แล้ว

      Remeber that it is not only Eskom but the influences that are puppeteering the orginization. We all know as clear as day who is the underlying force behind all corruption in SA and they just sit back and allow it to happen cause they cannot intervene with there own doing. ANC.

    The problem is the ANC government which has greedy people. Wherever they put their hands is for their own benefit. It's time as the South African people show the ANC that we are tired of what they're doing. There are a couple of ANC members who are implicated in serious crimes but still on the streets. This country can only fail if we allow it as the people of South Africa.

    Interesting report. Definitely outlines attempts to protect those involved at a very high level. Obviously hard evidence is critical to finally resolving the tangled web of information. Until names are named and indictments are filed, nothing will be resolved. Good place to start would be to embark on lifestyle audits on those allegedly involved.

      Steenhuisen named David Mabusa as the minister during a parliamentary sitting a week after he had resigned as DP. There were shouts in parliament by some ANC bigshots that Mabusa should sue Steenhuisen.
      The media has remained schtum! Shows how scared everyone is. It's high time that people started to name names.
      Cast your mind back to de Ruyter's bombshell interview, he said that when he discussed this minister with PG, PG replied, "Well, it's inevitable that it was going to come out.". They all know, the whole rotten ANC bunch and they are allowing to continue!

    Surely better checks can be done on the coal cartels and sabotage and everything elsewhere money can be syphoned off.

We, the honest, tax-paying citizens, just have to continue suffering until we all eventually seek greener pastures elsewhere where there is at least service delivery, despite the stealing.

    SA needs to bring in a massive team of forensic investigators from overseas, and ensure that they are 100% protected from harm 24 x 7. I think some of the people interviewed in this video by Carte Blanche are themselves not "above board" and that they are creating red herrings.

  • @Gucci_Actual
    @Gucci_Actual ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Politicians should always be in fear of their lives. They work for you, you don't work for them. If there is evidence of corruption, then names should be dropped publicly so the citizens know who it is. They should have to answer for it. The media, not surprisingly, is protecting the very people they're reporting on by not mentioning their name. Everyone in SA needs to stand up and stand together and start pushing back.

    The sub standard coal feedstocks going into the power stations is common knowledge. That was the cause of the failure of Medupi and Kusile at one point. The calorific value of the feedstock is so low they have to spray diesel onto the "coal" to make it burn. Often the "coal" comprises rocks and it doesn't burn. There was often no commercial value in delivering rocks and earth instead of thermal coal. You don't have to be a detective to work that one out.

Treasurey has also been captured, that is why they trying to capture the Auditor General so they in turn don't report on wasteful expenditure. Treasury's explanation was not good enough, it was done to cover the tracks of ministers and allow time to protect themselves. This ANC government MUST be voted out, the sooner the beter.

During the episode a number of times Carte Blanche creates doubt about the report, saying there is no solid evidence. Why do this. While watching I couldnt help but feel that Carte Blanche is being politically correct here. How about dedicating another episode to this subject and going into more detail and investigating a few names in the report. Like many in the comment state - please could someone share this report on a public website, this could be a step to help solve out current power (Eskom) problem

    So sad to see the extent of how government has been so comprehensively outwitted by criminal elements, at the expense of the poorest.

    • @thusspokezarathustra
      @thusspokezarathustra ปีที่แล้ว

      The government has not been outwitted. They complicite, as they appoint the hoodlums that pillage. From the moment the ANC took the reins in SA, the top priority was to zuck the living daylights out of the economy. Ramaphosa infamously compared the economically active minority to that of a frog being boiled slowly. The frog does not perceive the danger till it's too late. The ANC simply views the minority and all it created, as a literal cash cow. We experiencing the inevitable outcome of that mindset; bankruptcy, wanton distruction, pillaged and power mongering. It's too late, nothing to do but wait for the axe to fall. Could be worse; we could have been a Ukraine. There's a tiny glimmer of hope; that a coalition government oust the ANC. Not holding much hope for that but it's a vague possibility if the majority of the population get feed up enough to vote any but ANC. Everyone that can vote should vote, as 2024 is critical for SA. It simply will not survive yet another round of ANC missmanagement.

    The disguising of these informants is pitifully especially the one with the mask on. Even a closeup of his eye, voice sounds normal, clothes easily recognizable & race no secret!
    We are dealing with unscrupulous cindicits with no conscience, please can we give these brave men better concealment when exposing corruption.

    This would’ve never happened under DA lead government. Look at how they govern the Western Cape. Good clean audits, respect for the rule of law, non-racialism. They just get things done.

      And don't forget about the sewerage in the sea..
      And the squatters everywhere..

    as an old white man, with zero interest in politics, I now remember and *miss* Madiba, Archbishop Tutu, Tito Mboweni, Trevor Manual, Dullah Omar. We didn't realize how lucky we were back then. Like them or not, those were real leaders. Madiba would never have tolerated this, he would have acted decisively years ago. For all his alleged faults, I think Mbeki would also have acted. Up until now, I had some respect for Cyril R. But there's no denying he's failed us with Eskom. We the people of SA must put politics aside over this - otherwise our children will inherit darkness

    Ja, lots of talk, but what is going to be done? It's not good enough exposing them, they must be jailed, and for a long time! That's the problem now in South Africa... the justice system is not worthy of the name and governance (both corporate and government) is rubbish. No, too many incompetent and corrupt people in the system. Could've been different but coulda, shoulda and all that...

    Sadly, when there is no intregity, no honesty, responsibility and accountability. We as a country have embarked on a downward spiral and the poorest of the poor will suffer greatly. Greed is the poison that is destroying the Fabric of our society. May G-d help us!

    I’m wondering. If real evidence can be “bought”through the offer of the promise of a safe relocation to another country with a new identity if anyone will be willing to come forward. There surely must be a way to expose the real evidence to rescue the country
