Moss is the man. Funnily, your chassis changes were similar to what moss himself recommended for the rsv4 when he got it 😂 great review! Loved the experience shining
This is probably the best long term owner review of the Tuono I've ever seen. Nicely done, sir! A future comparison video against the RSV4 would be interesting. I'm currently considering making the switch.
Thank you! I appreciate the complement! I was planning a host of test but the weather up on the mountain turned so quickly. I was going to give a overall score like a "Doug Score" if you are familiar with Doug DeMuro with cars. I would suggest that unless you are planning many track days, the Tuono is a far better overall bike. It is 90% of the RSV4 in terms of sheer performance but as a street bike it is way more maneuverable and way, way more comfortable. That being said, for out-and-out ripping the RSV4 puts an even bigger smile on your face. So there is only one logical conclusion: Both!
@@themaestro1881 haha of course that's the logical conclusion. But yes, you basically answered my main question. Is the Tuono noticeably more comfortable in the street compared to the RSV4? Seems like the answer is yes. I was partly concerned that the difference wasn't large enough and I'd be in the same situation (not wanting to go on day trips) with a different bike and lighter wallet.
This bike handled bang on right from day 1 for me. It has electronic suspension that does an awesome job. The automatic suspension in track mode is all you need. Turns like a dream. Yes if you want to use it in manual mode you have to spend time messing around but to me it doesn't make a lot of sence when the bike does it all for you from the get go. Ive had a few bikes including track bikes and the electronic Ohlins on this is mint. Altering rear end and hiring yokes on a 2020 Tuono?? Well i'm no expert every days a school day.
Love your reviews ❤❤ I own a Tuono 1100 V4 Factory 2019 and I am completely happy with it (After I saw your video about the 1100 GS 1999, I bought myself one, too). The Tuono has 99.945 km on its speedometer and I did not have any problems with it 💜💜. I have heard that a short exhaust is not so good for the Aprilia, that's why the Agrapovic is probably better than the SC-Project.
Very interesting on the exhaust length. I just picked up a 2017 Tuono Factory with oinly 1500 miles. Akro, Forged wheels, rearsets, etc. Thanks for the compliment. Please pass on to your riding friends!!
1:30 this is the review I was looking for, thank you. I'm awaiting delivery of my '23TF and thinking how am I going to feel about my 03 once the 20 year junior shows up.
Brilliant video buddy 👏🏻👏🏻 very well put together. I used to ride a 19 RSV4 RR and tbh its the best bike ive ever owned absolutely amazing machine. I sold it last year sadly just because i haven’t been riding and using as much as id like to have but would i have another Aprilia absolutely 💯 i would without a seconds thought. Again fantastic video hopefully more like this to come 👍🏻 Adam uk 🇬🇧
@@themaestro1881 that’s great I’ll definitely be tuning in 👍🏻. Oh no 😞 sorry to hear that our winters are quite harsh tbh but I’m hoping March April are decent so i can get my bike out again as its been 4 months already since ive rode 🥲🥲
Great Review 👍 Picking up same model next week with only 1500 miles on the odometer. You got my attention on the cam chain fix, is this something the dealer is willing to do? If not, can you please shoot me contact info for your guy? Much appreciated!
What tires are you running? The 2020 Tuono I’m picking up this week has Dunlop Q4’s. Thinking those are better for track, but I’ll be 100% street riding. Also, I’m 230 lbs, any recommendations on the electronic suspension settings you reference on the video for my weight? Appreciate your help!
@@goochi8235 Sure thing! I am running the Michelin Power Cup 2's. I have a review on these tires you might want to check out. Since I don't know exactly how aggressive you ride, you might easily get away with the Michelin Power GP or if you are on a budget the very competent Bridgestone S22 would be a great choice. At 230 lbs. you are about 35 lbs. heavier that I am. First, set rear sag at 27mm and then up my settings by two clicks and see how that feels. That would be a good start. Or you can check in with Dave Moss and he will give you base settings for I think $30 by email. Enjoy the new Tuono!!

Excellent video , very informative and no bullshit. You can't beat fast ,old school guys ,but just through in some wheelies for good measure.

Great video. I was fascinated by the form of the rider ahead of you.
Actually,, the front rider was me! So Thanks!1

I have the same bike. Love it!
Need to try your gas pump trick.
It will work! You're welcome!! 😛
Great video ✌🏻
Many thanks, Maestro
Loved the gas filling tip! It worked for me. 2020 Factory. If there is a better bike I sure would love to ride it! Subscribed!
Agreed! Thanks!!
Put on my headphones to enjoy that glorious sound! Because no wind protection, at what speed does it become less fun? Literally.
Over 100 it begins. Above 130 you are hanging on for dear life!

Baffle in or out on the Akra?
Out. Still too quiet! 🙂
@@themaestro1881 agreed 👍 Beautiful ear porn, like no other from Aprilia 😀
Keep a close eye on the engine oil level. Mine burns way too much oil for a new bike.😢
Great point. I should have mentioned that! I use three quarters of a quart between oil changes Motul 7100 10/40. Every 6K miles
@@themaestro1881 Well that’s better than mine, 1 quart every 1500 miles!
Running oem gearing? (15/42)
One tooth down front sprocket
Street triple 765 rs its easy too drive✊🔥Tuono are a loot heavier and more brutal🤙
Mt 10 are more comfortable✊🔥but Tuono more fun and and sporty🔥🔥🔥
