'A Reason for Treason' is killer. 'Fame of the Grotesque' is also another one I would choose. Love the little quirks and frenetic vibes. The title track is also awesome plus the singles (I've been listening to 'Nothing Left to Fear' on repeat since it was released. P.S. 'Asylum Cave' is a crucial album for me in my formative years in the world of Extreme metal ❤

I googled Ekbom because I figured it had to mean something, turns out it's a reference to Ekbom Syndrome aka Delusory Parasitosis or hallucinating that you have a bug infestation under your skin, hence the person in the art turning into a spider and cutting their wrist to get the bugs out.
Julien (singer) used to work in psychiatry, you can find multiple references to this field in every Benighted albums (tracks name, lyrics, album covers etc.) ;)

This is their magnum opus. Didn't think they had it in them to top Asylum Cave after all this time, but here we are. Drums, guitars and vocals fuse seamlessly and just click into place. The songwriting is more varied than ever and you can tell Kevin was having a blast (hehe) writing and recording drums for this. In my book, this is a top 10 deathgrind album.

This has easily been one if my favorite bands in the last almost decade now. Always evolving. Most tracks sound distinct and yet fit together nicely as an album. And they never let up on the gas when it comes to brutality. Yet its not such a wall of sound that its boring imo.
Pas mal, mais vous devriez faire plus de la moitié au moins de vos chansons en français. Vous n'en avez pas marre de cet internationalisme imposé ? La langue française est une des plus belles du monde, complexe, très fournie, nuancée... Putain mais vous êtes français, chantez en français ; Belenos ils font quoi par exemple... Alors Deathspell omega non plus, Scarve non plus, ni même Nostromo qui sont suisses, c'est vrai que c'est rare mais bon. Cette quoi cette honte, cette aversion pour la France tout le temps, même pour des drapeaux dans la rue on se fait emmerder. On emmerde le Mondialisme et on chante en français non??? Bref... Moi aussi je suis batteur extrême blaster dans l'âme, et si je retrouve un/des groupes ce sera en français... Le jeu de Kevin est terrible par contre, il vous transcende. Blastafarei les gars !!!

Ca bourre, ça gueule non stop et ça passe très souvent du coq à l'âne mélodiquement. Je m'en retourne à Necrobreed et Icon
