The Loake boots turned out great. Recently bought a pair of their Chelseas. Hope mine last 35 years. I would be in a retirement home wearing them, but at least I would still walking!
You did a beautiful job on my suede boots. The tongues now stay smack dab in the middle and the stitching along the existing line of stitches is really neat. Thanks for taking such care to do it right. Really pleased with the result.
Thank you so much, Anthony & Paul. You did an outstanding job on the repair. They were Xmas presents from my late parents. But to be honest I never liked them. But the commando sole has really turned them into nice looking boot. Absolutely love them. Thank you so much well worth £110👍👍
I come a shoe making county, Northampton. I worked at Dolcis. Loakes were local too. Sadly cheap imports put them all out of business. Love your channel.
Loake are still very much in business, I was at their factory shop Thursday, although a lot of the range are now Indian made. 1880 still made in their Northamptonshire factory
love your precision repairs to customers spec, very rare these days. Tongue kreep, had this on a pair of Loakes boots, Stanley Knife / slit in the tongue soon sorted it out 🙂 I hope these video's bring in plenty of extra work, it's well deserved.
I’m wondering if there’s an alternative for those suede Chukka boots - fitting a strip of leather behind the eyelets to provide some padding so that facings don’t come together. Additionally, you might be able to put some padding on the back of the tongue to help.

Thank you Chris, that’s the other option that we’ve covered before. Yes Paul has been snowed under since the Church’s video did well, which is great.

That had already been done previously, it may be in a video in the near future.
