There's something about having resole & new heels, certainly insqires confidence.
Great video as always 👍👍👍
Oh, so that's a Barnsley knife? When my uncle died I had to clear out all his old tools and found one of those which I still have. It seemed a bit of an unusual shape and I couldn't figure it out, but now at last I know what it's for. Really enjoy your channel. Great work.
Thank you 😊
Nice video Anthony, good to see you do actually own a Barnsley knife, (a rosewood handled one to boot....) just need to get rid of that awful box cutter. I like see the shoe fitted to the sole rather than the sole curled over the shoe, not many videos show this correct way to fit a sole.
Glad you enjoyed it..... we recently did a pilot for a show with channel 4 all about the price of good quality shoes, it would be great if it comes off 👍.
Nice one, let people know if/when it's on please.@@shoehealer8853
What a great repair Nice to see the full version Your commentary is good Antony and adds to the entertainment The 40 minutes passed so quickly Very good video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Video !
Antony, what kind of shoes are You wearing while filming this Video? Have I seen a monk?
Best Regards
Harald
No, I've got a barker chukka boot on, but funnily enough, I've just ordered myself a pair of Double Monk strap shoes. As soon as they arrive, I'll post a picture .
Might be a good few weeks 👍
There is a manufacturer who uses a Barnsley knife in their adverts but don't recall who and i definitely have at least a pair of them. Or is it my sometimes vivid imagination?
I've been asking everyone....repairers and reps, but as much as they say it rings a bell we don't know.....Antony
Safe is the first.nice gloves and glasses
Beautiful job at a great price too
How do you go about recording these videos from POV perspective? Lovely repair as well!
It's a pain trying to get the angle right and keep it on the centre of what I'm working on. I record on my phone, which is on a sling around my neck. I've got a head cam to try, but that is difficult to download. Mainly because I struggle with technology 😅.
Antony
Roughly how much would you charge for this re-sole & heel?
Great Video ~ nice finish.
I had a pair of Loakes butchered by a “shoe repairer” in Ashington asked for new leather and heel 😢😢😢
Thank you, I believe this job was around £45 for a new cover sole, heel and polish,if you would like a quote please send photos to info@shoehealer.co.uk or fill out the form on our website, here shoehealer.co.uk/pages/quotation
Awesome
28:46 I like that detail on the sole👍🏼
Why use a Barnsley knife?
It's traditional to use one, and l agree it looks so much better on videos when you're using the correct tools.....but in real life when you've go a great big pile of repairs to get through, give me a Stanley knife. 😏. Thanks for watching.
Antony
I'd feel embarrassed to wear shoes with holes in the soles, and more embarrassed to take them into a shop to be repaired, maybe I'm to fussy
Good god….what a waste of money.
You don’t think it was worth keeping them going? They are £149 for a new pair.
A cardboard heel…can you imagine?
Cardboard heel. Not quite the full Italian but getting there.
