    Hi Guys,
    Here is my raw footage from today at ‪@fullychargedshow‬ . There was a lot to see there today and it was very busy. There is so much more interest in EVs and renewable energy here in Australia.
    I had some audio issues with how loud the background noise was inside. Guess this shows my inexperience. I thought it was still worth uploading anyway.
    Some of the stands I really enjoyed visiting were ‪@Tractionev1‬ and EV Stealth Solutions. I also enjoyed seeing the cars from MG, BYD, Polestar and LDV.

    Yay! Just saw myself at the BYD stand in your video! Was wondering why that guy looked so familiar!
    Yeah was a well run show but I was disappointed at the number of exhibitors missing, like Janus Electric and maybe Australian battery companies like Gelion, and especially ACE-EV. (Guess they are really a zombie company now since they can’t even exhibit at this event which is crucial to their market).
    Well hopefully they will be convinced by the level of interest at this show to join up next year. Funny thing is that Tesla didn’t need to exhibit because their marketing arm - AKA Tesla owners - were out in full force!

      Haha that's so cool! I was thinking the same about missing exhibitors. There was a lot of free space there for a ton more exhibits. I expected it to be a much bigger show and originally bought tickets for both days. I was surprised Hyundai weren't there with the Ioniq6 but I guess they are selling out of the small amount of vehicles they are releasing here and don't care. I think there will be some companies regretting that they didn't go and this will now hopefully be a wakeup call. I agree Tesla were well represented without actually being there haha.

    thanks for the preview of what you saw. lots of interesting vehicles.
    the ev conversions may be a way for those that really love their old cars look, but want to move into the electric vehicle future.
    speaking of solar EVs take a look at aptera, its still preproduction, but promising. it looks a bit weird, but there is a good reason for it if you are interested in learning more about it.

      Hi P M. I learnt a bit about how not to record audio at a crowded place like that 😂 Yes, I know a bit about Aptera. Regularly shaped cars are not the best for utilising the sun or for aerodynamics. Aptera addresses this quite well. The trouble for these startup companies is moving from prototype to production and most of them don’t make it. Tesla rode this fine line for many years. They often have to accept funds from questionable sources air sell out to a larger company to do it. From memory I think we were close to driving cars with apple logos 😂 I hope Aptera can make it work as it’s a good concept.

      I placed a preorder for an Aptera, and have been watching TH-cam videos on it, I hope it becomes real. They are working with Sandy Monroe, and it sounds like it's going well.

      @@user--PM Yes I’ve watched a couple of his videos and if they listen to his advice and can get the funds to kick off production then it should go well for them. I can see it being very popular in California.

    Matt,my son & myself had a good day at fully charged today. I reckon if the MG4 comes in the 40k figure range I think they will have a winner ,what do you think?

    • @notinthemanual
      @notinthemanual  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely, especially with the standard range version that has the 51kWh LFP battery. Same manufacturer as what is in the RWD 3 & Y (CATL).

    Don't you drive your vehicle with your hands on the steering wheel in the ten to two position? If you did the drivers screen in both the MG 4 and the Atto 3 are clearly visible.

      Hi Peter. Yes your right, most of the time but not always like when your manoeuvring. I guess I've got a thing about this and tent to be defensive as people criticise where Tesla have it in the Model 3 and Y. I shouldnt have made such a deal of it. After owning a Model 3 for almost 2 years I love having the speed displayed higher up and clearly visible no matter what you are doing with the steering wheel. Of course a HUD is more ideal but they dont work with polarized lenses. I guess you just get used to whatever you have.
