The difference between bronze/silver/gold Dvas and high rank Dvas is the playstyle. Almost every Dva I see (i might be guilty of it myself) either never takes high ground or does it very infrequently. She basically becomes a shield tank that happens to have a fly ability.
They don’t utilize their movement at all. There’s so much you can do with her boost, but every dva I see just sits in front on the team and uses it to escape.
I try to utilize high ground more so that I can climb out of gold. Another factor is the counter picking, I’m a dva sigma and ramattra main but the enemy tank always goes zarya orisa or hog (I can fight zarya on high ground but my team rarely follows)
higher ranks dvas do that as well. i’m in masters rn , i was just in a game & there was a venture high ground by themselves shooting at me and instead of flying in to help the dva just sat on cart shooting them doing basically zero dmg to them lmao
I do like taking high ground a lot, the only thing is since I'm a support main I fall back quickly and play very afraid, which is why I'm a bad tank that gives away space for free 😭
Can't believe they got away with playing Rein as Sombra, but honestly, most of the trouble was kinda on your team for being out of position. That Ana got charged and rushed down so many times for frontlining.
It felt like this person playing tank was overstimulated and tunnel-visioned at the same time. They see Illari's pylon and try to get rid of it, but as soon as it's gone, they don't know what else to do, so they start chasing anything that moves.
It takes until 6:30 on the dot when it ever appears like this guy came up with a coherent idea of how to play, and that was holding and shielding the corner. It lasts about 10 seconds.
I was actually duoed with this tank (hi, its me, Aceynuu in the background) and I just want to tack on that this game happened at 4am for me on easter sunday. I was increasingly becoming delirious and not convinced this game was real. Hope everyone enjoys watching and has fun watching my Girlfriend play!
Nice game and if you couple wanna improve NOT rank up I can give each of you a free actual vod review and some tips as I can see you being high plat and her at least high gold so I think it's a waste being at sliver (I'm a ow pro coach on family vacation and I'm bored so just doing it for fun)*will not ask you guys to sign up for anything so if you are interested just reply
legit. end of the season comp is actually so insufferable. just yesterday i was playing on support and i kept getting spawncamped by a doom and sombra and my team didnt help me :/ gotta remind myself to not play at the end of the season
Divide and conquer. Anyone harassing the backline pulls someone away from the main fight, it's a viable strategy but usually reserved for Sombra/Lucio with hit-and-run tactics. If your team is stuck in spawn cause the other team is camping, get a sombra to harass their backline, someone will usually chase them and then you're 5v4 or less and you just have to focus 1 more down and you cleanup. Playing bullet-sponge isn't a viable strategy for tanks so far so don't stand in bullet lane, it takes 2 healers full time attention to keep a bullet sponge alive for a minute longer, it's almost always a losing scenario.
I watch alot of these vods and recently I've been thinking to myself "don't they play other games???" Like highe ground and positioning is in every single game, i don't understand
its not just video games, its common knowledge irl that taking high ground and having good positioning gives you an advantage, kinda telling on urself here
@@eerreerr497 you had to reword it because you worded it poorly, be more specific next time and dont just use "they" and expect everyone to know who you're talking about

I stand that tank feels 75/25 bad from counterpick to just have to take some much damage when you make a play some teammates be like you should of done that but if you don’t or lose it’s automatically your fault I get everybody can have a off game but some people think that the tank is responsible for everything or is the main focus I feel tanks needs another passive 10% reduced damage taken and every tank should have atleast 100 shield in they health bar
This was a good tank. The dps struggled with getting elims and our tank consistently had large windows of no support. Literally just the tank against 3 or 4 of them, no healing, no support fire, just "??" when it came to support. The only thing I think the tank could work on is not trying to out-"alpha" the other tank. But, seriously, if you dont pull down your pants and show the other tank the size of your ...hammer, they'll get overly bold and aggressive and will constantly be on your back-line causing havoc.
Hi emongg comment section. I'm a gold tank although I don't have that much experience with it yet. What does "make space" mean for the team? My teammates say it from time to time and I never know what it means
hi, not sure if you still need an answer for this, but "making space" refers to how a tank has the ability to take control of the map and specifically take it away from the enemy team. if you as the tank are parked firmly on the objective when you don't need to be, you are letting the enemies take all the advantageous positions on the map. when the enemies have advantageous positions, it is easier for them to win fights. they won't always win when they have the map advantage, but it's so much easier for them to win. so, how does a tank make space? depends on the tank, but a very easy example on an escort map is by walking ahead of the cart and positioning at the next major corner that the cart will need to go around. this way, it is harder for the enemies to get to the cart because you are literally in the way AND there is space between you and the cart for your teammates to stand and shoot at the enemies. by standing at the next corner, you have also taken an advantageous position. you have cover! you can easily duck back around the corner to give your supports time to heal you, and it denies the enemy team that cover because if they try to hold the corner, you're already right there and it is harder to push you back. another way you can make space is by going for the enemy backline. you might get elims AND you are forcing the enemy team to turn around and help their teammates. if they don't turn around, you're more likely to get the elims. if they do turn around, they're distracted from your team and they often have to physically walk away from your teammates to get to their teammates, which means your team can push up further and take more of the map. something that can help is thinking about the map as full of green, yellow, and red areas. green areas are like outside your team's spawn and the map that is on your team's side. your team "owns" green areas; your team is literally there and it would be really hard for the enemies to try to rake one of your green areas without falling over immediately. red areas belong to the enemy. if you go into a red area, it probably won't end well unless you're being sneaky and smart. however, yellow areas are contested areas that haven't been firmly claimed by either team, like the objective on king of the hill when the round first starts. both sides are fighting to take yellow areas. you can make space by going into yellow areas (with your team nearby and in LOS of your supports ideally) to try to make them green areas for your team. you want to contest yellow areas and not give them away for free. if the enemy wants to claim a yellow area, you can't let them take it for free so by making space and going into the yellow area, you are making it easier and safer for your team to make plays and get elims. hopefully this helps!
@@xx_graveboy_xx of course! and I should also mention this isn't limited to tanks. anyone can make space. dps can make space by taking off angles (which can include full on flanking but is often just a different angle so the enemy has to worry about taking damage from two areas), supports can make space by applying pressure via damage or utility (ana nade usually will make enemies back up behind cover, bap window makes enemies either fall back or push past the window into the bap's team and either can be good) etc. it's just that tanks have more resources to take space like shields, larger health pools, etc
it's not the wall, it's the charge; mauga has dmg reduction while he's charging, so even if you can't get past the wall, you'll take less damage and you might survive long enough for the wall to drop so your supports can see and heal you again.
