Your RAM is an important resource, but many users reported that Windows 11 isn’t using all RAM. This is a strange issue that can cause reduced performance, however, there’s a way to fix this problem.
How do I make Windows 11 use all RAM? First, you need to update your BIOS. If your PC is still not using all RAM, then change your BIOS settings to make sure Windows 11 isn’t reserving any RAM for secondary GPUs.
Of course, these are only two of the quickest solutions. If the problem persists, here are some additional troubleshooting methods that you can use to fix your RAM.

RAM is a volatile storage device that your computer uses to store data and also use it simultaneously but it is used to store the type of data that is being frequently used by the operating system or an application running on it. Once your computer shuts down all the data in it is lost as it is a temporary but fast storage device. The more amount of RAM you have, more smoothly your computer will multitask by enabling the applications to store more files they need frequently. Having more RAM never hurts, but not able to use the whole of it can be unacceptable to a user.

Soooooooo followed these steps and now my PC can't start up, tries to do an automatic repair and will only load into the bios now, but cannot start windows 11 even in safe mode. Plz to help.

Hi, I was using 32GB in my laptop with windows 10, but after my laptop got updated to windows 11 it is now only showing 16GB. Any idea on this? 🤷🏽♂️
Yes I have done a Windows memory test as well, it doesn't show any error.
My memory has also been cut in half from 16 to 8
win11 uses up more resources you should go back

Man Same Thing To ME I Had 8gb Ram And When I Installed Windows 11 it Had Became 4 gb and omfg its slow with 4gb
well my 4GB RAM is regestering as 1.82GB now thats a 2GB downgrade

I'm not sure this works for more up-to-date devices, before doing this i was using 5.89GB out of 8GB of RAM, did this and there's no change, although the system config thinks I have 8 processors.

@@kylediver900 Nope, figured it had something to do with a chrome eating my RAM but after switching browsers it still says 5.89GB usable

@@Autonate_42 you will have only 5:89 gb usable as your apu is taking the rest to make your computer work so it's not a big deal... if you manage to remove the 1:11 gb then you will be in grave danger...and i would not recommend it....i have learned the hard way

IK this way works but dude when i change my maximum memory to 8192 mb it is setted to 0 automatically dude tell me any fix
Its a visual glitch but if you have checked it and its at 0 you are good
turn off the maximum memory, that way your pc can use all of your ram

i have 40gb ram installed in my dell laptop but 39.3GB ram was unusable.
First i set to 8 processors and 40GB ram. it didn't work memory went back to 0 after restarting.
then i set to 8 processors and 37GB ram. it worked but unfortunately. it is now saying 33GB is unusable.

Questo problema mi ha portato all'esasperazione alla fine ho risolto da solo tutto il problema derivava dalla GPU integrata che si prendeva parte della RAM da dedicarsi

@@lukehaskins4776 devo riguardare nel computer c'è una sezione dove c'è scritta una cosa che non ricordo e li ti permette di scegliere la memoria da dedicare alla GPU integrata e tu devi abbassarla perche c'è impostato una quantità che ti toglie tot RAM al PC in base a quanto e impostato , attenzione poi non vedi togliere tutta la memoria alla GPU quindi ... Io per esempio avevo 5.89gb di RAM su 8 quindi ho dedicato solo 600mb alla GPU e adesso sono tornato ad avere 7.89 GB di RAM al PC, e ripeto non puoi togliere tutto alla GPU
@@lukehaskins4776 e un problema della GPU dedicata non quella buona , il mio PC fisso è un amd athlon zen del 2018 con GPU Vega 3 e questa mi toglieva i 2 GB di RAM dal PC
