This home stirs determination & motivates me to relax & enjoy the finer things in life. Those oculus' shining into the hot tub & wine cellar is unique, that staircase, that flat grass courtyard, the tower, the blue walkway, all of those hidden doorways & elevator, gym, spa area and that 82' lap pool with that STUNNING view just screams "There is no other home like this in the world!!" All on a plot of land over 7+ acres in size.
Now that asking price really is pie in the sky when the assessment is about $17M. I put the value of the home at about $20M.
Regardless, I'd be marketing to owners in BH, La Zag, London, Paris & NYC.

Maybe it wasn't shown, but for that money I'd want a dedicated home theatre and a dedicated fitness room with dry sauna and steam room. A dedicated music room would be a priority too, somewhere to gather with a band (drums, keyboards, amps, mini stage) and also a listening space with high end audio gear. Room for 6 cars in the garage, plus extra height for a lift would be on my list as well.
Beautiful design here, spectacular courtyard, pool and views. I wonder how the stairs passed code without a handrail though? Maybe when you have that much money, certain codes can be "overlooked".
It has it all except the music room, but you would definitely have the space to put one in and dedicate the rooms to your choosing. Cheers!

That stairwell would rive me nuts if I were the maid, those strings going all the way to stairs below would keep me from easily sweeping or vacuuming the whole stair in one fluid motion

Now you can say minimalist..admire the architecture, the engineering, natural location…but what a hollow empty house without art, objects, personality and life..Someone needs to make this a Home
When you walk into this home it definitely feels like "the home" itself is actually the art. The staircase, the way the light shines in etc. You can definitely decorate it at will, add art pieces, & personal touches.👌🏼🖼

Just curious how much would it cost to build a house like this back in 2010? From design to construction and all the other extra costs. Anyone has a rough idea on this? Thanks
Not sure how much it was back in 2010 but back in 2015 that house was for sale for $12 million and came with almost 3 times more land.
@@pin65371 Wow, thanks for the info David, so the owner of this house also owns the two empty lots beside this? That would be 20 acres then, but it seems like most of the land cannot be used or not suitable for construction.
I just finished doing consulting on the home down the street from this. Total construction cost was $88 million not including land purchases. But again it is 33,000 sq/feet and probably one of the most expensive homes in Canada. I know the pool engineer and construction on this home was $6 million when built.

Nowhere near the $32M it just sold for. Someone grossly overpaid for this, but billionaires don't care about a rounding error.
I am not religious but in this case I can see how people believe that man is a creation of god, only something divine could design and build this.
