Clearly the launch did not go as planned. Best time from all races went to the Challenger in the 10's. Both cars are GREAT.

Dont know what the Hellcat owner was doing but he bombed that race. Went from a 10 second quarter mile to almost 13 seconds. Mustang won fair and square but had the Hellcat driver actually started properly then he would have easily won!!

Honestly Im a mopar guy but that gt500 would win any day of the week. People are so caught with the hp and torque of the hellcat they don’t realize how heavy it is. Gt500s are simply superior in every way. They have a high resale value, a naturally aspirated powerful engine, that not only requires less maintenance (because no supercharger) they have better mileage because they’re smaller. And finally they’re much lighter. I love hellcats but they’re big, heavy, and mass produced.

No, it wouldn't have been close if the hellcat cut a better light. He still ran a fucked up ET. He would have needed a good RT and a good ET to keep it close or win. The 12 second time doesn't include his response time (for those who don't race, or just e-race) so even if he had spent another 2 seconds there, his time still would have been 12.x. His issue was fucking up the 60 foot (primarily because he didn't heat the tires up correctly on that pass, and secondly because he's a dodge owner. LOL)

I feel like they changed drivers to one other. At beginning the hellcat burned tires and he went on the right time and Shelby was late at beginning. Now they did opposite of what drivers were doing.

The hellcat 100% either switched drivers or wasnt prepared for the green. The hellcat was on the brakes when the stang launched. they also f’d up the manual mode shifting, most likely they were stuck in 1st or 2nd and lost the power while stuck in gear
Even with the new Challengers making all this horsepower that's the problem with computers on cars. All this complicated crap and not being able to put the raw horsepower on the street sometimes.....I'll take an old school challenger with no computers on it. All it knows how to do is go fast.

I was originally going to purchase a 2010 challenger srt, my dad talked me out of it, too expensive for up keep right, next choice was chargers but they only had sxt's, didn't want a v6 charger that's car abuse for a dodge, so ended up with a 2012 Chrysler 300 c with the 5.7 hemi & boy does it drink up gas hahaha & you have to put premium or plus 89 nothing less, but now I like the 2015 Chrysler 300 c & they should have the 6.2 hemi I believe
