Well, they ignore the most basic facts- At the time of Atlantis, the islands of Greece were High hills, and thus this alone disqualifies the Islands. This also indicates that the timeline (I.E. 10,000 BC) coincide with archeological evidence of the Mediterranean was about 400 feet lower. this is where the mistakes begin, because they search based off modern geography rather then ancient geograpghy. Just look at the undersea topography to the south of the Azores. You have the rectangular, "fertile plain" (used to supply food to the city) that matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly. You have the wide ditch that surrounds that "fertile plain". You have the diagonal canals that cross that plain from the Northeast to the South west. Both features, also part of Plato's description! You have a square niche in the mountains, just to the south and east of that "fertile plain" that would "house" the ringed city of Atlantis...also perfectly. As Plato described, the entire sea, where Atlantis WAS, became a muddy surface. A muddy surface that would have covered all the distinguishable features of the civilization. Also, that area is at the joining point of 3 continental drift ridges. What an Ideal spot for a down swelling of that ground to occur due to continental shifts plus the possible explosion of that volcano just to the North on the island in the Azores... plus the possibility of inundation by a rising sea level water due to the Younger Dryas melting of the glaciers. The area is directly west of the Pillars of Hercules, just as Plato said. When you look at that undersea area on Google Earth you will say "YES....There it is! And it's In plain sight!" THAT is the area, parts of which are under 6,000 feet of water, that needs to be checked using ground penetrating LIDAR. And also in Plato's description: He indicated the Island of Atlantis was ruled by the eldest son of their sea god. But his brothers were given dominion on the many "islands" that surrounded the main island. That means that the Atlanteans could have established colonies as far west as South America and as far east as the coast of Africa and Spain and even Egypt.
You know what other island matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly? Thera, before the explosion of the volcano was exactly how Plato describes Atlantis. Homocentric circles of land and seas interchanging, with a temple of Poseidon at the center. Also, ancient Greek refered to the Isthmus of Corinth as Pillars of Hercules as well and Thera's location matches considering that. Plato also says that houses on Atlantis were made out of red, black and white rocks. These rocks are volcanic rocks and, according to excavations, ancient houses discovered beneath modern day Santorini are made out of red, black and white volcanic rocks.

Dumb comments around here! Atlantes was the mountainous region of Mauritania in 9500 B.C. when the African plate and Sahara desert was still largely under the sea. As a result, it was an island of mountains with the Richat at the centre of power. On the day the African plate struck the Eurasian plate, a tsunami rose which wiped the island. There is a strong sense and some stories told that says the rocks of Gibraltar were opened intentfully to create the straight of Gibraltar, & flood the region behind it below Ocean level. Further down this low laying Valley way region is where Atlantis is most often said to be. Atlantis is said to be the Motherland of Egypt, and Greece the Motherland of Atlantis. So it also sane to summarize that these three lands were directly attached to each other for some time before the region flooded to create the Mediterranean Sea. I have seen documentaries of divers searching the areas of the Mediterranean Sea south of Greece and there are a lot of large & small artifacts down there in flooded city ruins. This is probably the reason they don’t allow divers to even recreational dive in some areas. As to whom is said to have created the straight of Gibraltar, my version of what it takes to be called a God is to give something that establishes a benefit to everyone. That enables the endless prosperous Unity of all to become, with the Power to do it, the same with Goddesses and Eternal Mother Goddesses.
Sea levels have risen considerably especially when Greenland (I believe) was struck by a meteor, in my belief Atlantis is still underwater. Perhaps the Eye of the Sahara was a memorial city to it.

Just look at the undersea topography to the south of the Azores. You have the rectangular, "fertile plain" (used to supply food to the city) that matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly. You have the wide ditch that surrounds that "fertile plain". You have the diagonal canals that cross that plain from the Northeast to the South west. Both features, also part of Plato's description! You have a square niche in the mountains, just to the south and east of that "fertile plain" that would "house" the ringed city of Atlantis...also perfectly. As Plato described, the entire sea, where Atlantis WAS, became a muddy surface. A muddy surface that would have covered all the distinguishable features of the civilization. Also, that area is at the joining point of 3 continental drift ridges. What an Ideal spot for a down swelling of that ground to occur due to continental shifts plus the possible explosion of that volcano just to the North on the island in the Azores... plus the possibility of inundation by a rising sea level water due to the Younger Dryas melting of the glaciers. The area is directly west of the Pillars of Hercules, just as Plato said. When you look at that undersea area on Google Earth you will say "YES....There it is! And it's In plain sight!" THAT is the area, parts of which are under 6,000 feet of water, that needs to be checked using ground penetrating LIDAR.
And also in Plato's description: He indicated the Island of Atlantis was ruled by the eldest son of their sea god. But his brothers were given dominion on the many "islands" that surrounded the main island. That means that the Atlanteans could have established colonies as far west as South America and as far east as the coast of Africa and Spain and even Egypt.
You know what other island matches Plato's dimensions almost perfectly? Thera, before the explosion of the volcano was exactly how Plato describes Atlantis. Homocentric circles of land and seas interchanging, with a temple of Poseidon at the center. Also, ancient Greek refered to the Isthmus of Corinth as Pillars of Hercules as well and Thera's location matches considering that. Plato also says that houses on Atlantis were made out of red, black and white rocks. These rocks are volcanic rocks and, according to excavations, ancient houses discovered beneath modern day Santorini are made out of red, black and white volcanic rocks.

There are 2 clues that rule out those spots. Elephants were in Palto's account, and we know who uses the Famous Trident(originally), therefore we can easily guess, where it should be, considering its dimensions. Dumb comments around here! Atlantes was the mountainous region of Mauritania in 9500 B.C. when the African plate and Sahara desert was still largely under the sea. As a result, it was an island of mountains with the Richat at the centre of power. On the day the African plate struck the Eurasian plate, a tsunami rose which wiped the island. The African plate rose slightly above the Eurasian plate, and mud covered everything. The mud dried up into desert sand in the next 2 centuries due to earth's equinox tilt shift.
