Great review, lots of real life info, just what I needed to know. I'm elderly & disabled so it was great to know you are happy enough with it to get your mum one. Ordering mine now, Thanks
So glad you found this helpful. My mum is still thrilled with her Eufy - and we bought my mother in law one too! Hope yours works out really well for you.
As a techy person I was honestly looking for a review of this from a tech reviewer's perspective but honestly I'm super glad I clicked on this one. Fantastically informative review from a general usage perspective which is exactly what you need for a device like this. Thank you so much for your review. I picked one up today too.
I’m so glad I got the techy seal of approval for this review! Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a kind comment. Enjoy your Eufy!
Came to say exactly the same thing. Absolutely super informative, I'm a tech nerd but having a genuine female perspective is very refreshing. Amazing content 🎉
Love your real life review! I ordered this before viewing your review. This was very helpful. I have played with it the last couple days and I love it!
I ordered this today after watching your "real life" vid as opposed to all the sponsored stuff on TH-cam. To set up alexa link it up the other way around. I.e. link it in the alexa app not the eufy app. Took abt 2 mins and works like a dream. Thanks for the accurate real world vid. Makes a nice change on TH-cam. 👍
What a charming lady... I have the same model, just got it, and for whatever reason, mine came with a remote with a display...it's mostly to help set up scheduling to vacuum.
@@thehonestchannel Quick update: Absolutely in love with it! I wish it had mapping technology, but unsure, if the ones with mapping do any better job (?) It randomly bounces, but it doesn't seem to be missing any spots... I haven't been vacuuming in 2 weeks and my house looks spotless clean. To be honest vacuums better than my Dyson.
@@paulinas.4082 So glad it’s working out for you. I love mine too but, disaster, it has malfunctioned and I need to send it back for repair or exchange. Very unhappy that’s happened just a couple of months after buying it. Hope it’s a freak occurrence. Let me know if you have any issues. I’ll do a follow-up video later in the year. Thanks for the update!
Thank you for the review. There are robovacs that do track backwards and forwards and they are more reliable at covering every inch. Also ones that vac and mop and know not to mop carpets! I love mine
It’s amazing how technology is developing to help us. This is a great model for the price but it would be tempting to look at some of the higher-spec models out there. Which robovac do you have?
@@thehonestchannel a Roborock S5 Max. It cost a lots more than the one you have so you do have to weigh up pros and cons 🤔 I’ve had it 3 years now and Colin is still going strong (I’ve called it Colin 😂😂) x
aren't they fabulous iv'e got two cheap Vileda's plug in charge switch on and let it go no faffing lol, i'm amazed at how much they pick up, I hoover the filters with my corded vac, another must have is the Hoover stick cleaner H Free 500 so easy and powerful it propels itself forward with the brush foot I just take it for a walk :)
Background: I have a shedding dog, so I bought this in hopes that by running it every-day, it would pick up on some of the dog hair on the floor. What I like: -VERY easy to use. -easy to follow instructions -has a sticker on the bottom so if it ever stops and beeps, you can flip it over and it says exactly what the beeps mean (one beep means one thing, two beeps means another--which is SUPER helpful!). -color on top clearly shows what mode it is in (blue-ready to go, orange-needs to charge, red-problem to fix-such as emptying the tray). -very quiet. I can work on stuff with it in the room and it does not bother me at all (my dog also does not mind it). -works great on white carpet and easily transitions from my living room to dining room (which has a slight bump). -when its low on battery, it does not die where it is at, it just turns off the vacuum then finds the home doc and charges itself. -just works really well. I run it everyday and I am impressed by how much stuff it gets (especially when it goes under things such as the couch). -if it gets caught on a cord, it usually takes 5-10 seconds but then it stops the suctioning and moves away (releasing the cord or other item). However if you have a small cord you should put it up (and you should regardless, I just noticed it doing this a few times and thought it was neat, but I do try to pick up all cords). What could be improved: -nothing really in particular to this. -It does not work well on anything black, but this is true for all robot vacuums. It sometimes gets stuck when it goes on the black carpet we have with the black chairs (I suspect because it can not detect them), but this has not happened often. My dog has a black mat for her food and water and it always bumps into it and spills the water, but again, this would occur with any robot vacuum. -Also, make sure the doc is against a wall because otherwise it will move and never charge (self explanatory, but I did not do the first time and it kept trying to doc and was just pushing the doc around the floor). -Finally, you do have to dump out the vacuum particles almost every time you run it (if you do a full circle/battery cycle). It is really easy to dump and beeps when it needs to be emptied. Again, nothing really negative, just something to note. Overall, I really like this! It does a nice job cleaning up the dog hair and other things that get on my floor and saves me a lot of time not vacuuming daily. If you have a dog, I would watch them with this first before you use it. My dog was initially scared of it but sniffed it's "butt" and now they are cool and she does not mind it at all. Pleased with this product and would recommend! :) **UPDATE** On another note, Eufy has amazing customer service! I received an email from them addressing each of my "what could be improved" components with more information on the product. Very impressed. I bought it at amzn.to/3nGcEXx
I don’t think this would work well on a bed. It would pick up cat hair from hard floors really well and is pretty good on shorter fibre carpets but not longer ones. I have a Miele cat and dog vacuum which is excellent for picking up pet hair and I use it once or twice a month to get the hairs the Eufy hasn’t picked up.
Question for you Clare. How is it with picking up long human hair? Most robot vacs I've seen have issues with hair winding around the cleaning brush making clean up a hassle. Thank you and great video.
Thank you! It's actually pretty good at picking long hair up, but some does wind round the brush - as it does on my Miele vacuum as well. From time to time I have to pull the hair out of the brush but it's not a major deal. It's not as good as my Miele on picking up dog hair from our carpets. It gets most of the hair but I use the Miele around once a month to give the carpet a deeper vacuum.
@@charm6724 I suspect the brush is quite important for helping sweep up and lift hairs and dirt from your floors so I would leave it on and just check it from time to time. It’s not been a big deal for me.

Yes, you can. The Wi-Fi light flashes which is a bit annoying but it will operate without being connected.
Does this go back to its base on its own? And does it do it when the battery is low?
Yes, if it’s within range it will return to its base when the battery is running low.

If your Eufy randomly starts, hold the schedule button until the robot beeps twice.
How long does battery lasts per single charge please?
It depends on flooring. I get around 45mins on my mix of hardwood floors, rugs and shallow pile carpets.
