I have used Lichi in the past and really think it's very useful. But I haven't flown in almot a year and your Lichi Tutorials were great for getting back what I forgot. It saved me a great deal of time. Nice job on the tutorials
I would like to add my thanks for all your efforts and knowledge in preparing these lessons. I have learned more in your first 3 lessons than I ever thought possible. I feel I really am gaining a real grasp on the software. Many thanks again.
Great information, I'm a newbie to the Phantom world and your vids helped me understand the Litchi app more even after reading the instructions and watching other vids. Thanks for posting this tutorial.
Awesome video. Well worth the time involved. I'm new to Litchi and this has so far been one of the best videos pertaining to how to use the app. Thanks
Thanks very much for taking the time to produce such an informative and much appreciated set of videos. Litchi should have produced these - perhaps a donation from them should be forthcoming!
wow nice video. one q. will the setting be saved after turning off the app? looking forward to the other videos about litchi app. also I'm new to litchi app. had my dji phantom 3 adv for about 6 weeks. love this app over the dji go app.... any help will be greatly appreciated...
Great tutorials. I've watched all three as I just downloaded the Litchi app. One question... what type of device are you using? I noticed that you had several options on your menus that I didn't, and I had an option on mine that you didn't cover. I'm using an iPhone, and am wondering if that might be the difference. The option that I had that you didn't is under the Camera tab and is labeled Hardware Decoding. Try as I might I cannot figure out what this does and what the advantage to using it might or might not be. Thanks again for the time and effort you put into the videos as they've been tremendously helpful!!
I am using a Galaxy Note 5. The key difference is the Operating Systems.. There are some subtle differences like this between the iOS and Android apps, although I don't think any of them are different enough to invalidate the tutorial for one side or the other. I actually recently purchased an iPad Mini 2 for use with my phantom, so when I get back to these the UI will look more familiar to you. Thanks for taking the time out to watch. :)
Great videos! Your settings menus include more options then mine. I'm wondering if the aircraft firmware version may be the reason. I am using very old firmware on my P3p, 1.5.03 to be exact, but am running the latest version of Litchi, 1.17. Listing your aircraft firmware version may shed some light on the issue. Thank you for your very informative and well produced videos.
I wish I could but I sold the P3A a while back. I think I was keeping the firmware on the quad its self up to date though, so if I could find the latest around this date I could tell you what it likely was. Either way thank you for taking the time to watch. On a side note while I can't tell you with 100% certainty, I feel like the firmware version of the quad would NOT affect the app in this way. And that the version of the app would be far more crucial to what options appear.
Very likely, but it is also probably a giant pain and I have not attempted it yet! I'd suspect if a way exists, it might require in-depth software or even hardware modification.
Great video! I have version 1.174 for an iPad & Mavic Pro and the settings page is totally different than what you show. Many of the settings are not in my list. In particular I want to program functions into the 5D joystick. The help file says that can be done but I don't see the place to set them in the settings.
I wish I could help. I recently got a Mavic myself but have not tested Litchi on it. I will go check it out and if I get anything better for you will reply here. Either way thank you for watching.
Thank you for responding. The format of the settings screen is different and that did not bother me. It bothered me that I could not find where to make the settings. What I did not know is that the settings could not be done before the controller and the aircraft were turned on and connected. Once I turned them on and connected them to my iPad, the 5D button settings options appeared on the list. Sorry for the confusion. Simple rule, turn everything on before you make the settings.
I am not sure if you will find a huge distance difference between this and DJI Go. The point more is the advanced features and the different way it handles certain features (such as not having to pre-fly a waypoint mission). Thanks for taking the time to watch.
good afternoon, I just purchased the litchi for my phantom 4, I am going through the 3rd tutorial and I do not have all of the buttons and items you are turning on and off, what do I need to do to get all these things, just for one the map radius circle but there are a lot more help
thnx for this tut. 1 Q: when calibrating my mini 2 in dji fly app, i have to do so with the nose (camera) up....in litchi it tells me to do this with nose down.......is that correct?
the other day i was flying my P4 with litchi app running and the RTH button did not initiate the RTH. can you tell me what is wrong. i was only 500 feet away. my friend lost his P3 but he was 10,000 away. his rth did not work either in litchi.
I haven't a clue! But with these sorts of things it could be many malfunctions outside of Litchi. I am not defending the application. I didn't create it. But with these types of things there is a lot that can go wrong, and usually all it takes is one thing going wrong to lose the drone completely.
Thank you for the great video.... it has sold me on Litchi... I do have one question. Is it possible to have the telemetry info embedded into the video ? I saw a video (can't remember where) and the video had all that info in the video. Thank you very much.... Excellent Excellent Video. Have a good one, Steve
Not from the app alone. The easiest method to overlay telemetry is by using dash ware. Just do a search for dash ward phantom. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
Ive just started using this app and was shocked and dissapointed that there is no settings for things like expo or yaw limit... so yaw is way over sensitive like in the go app. you cant even touch the sticks on the Phantom3 without it veering off like a crack addict on speed! Am i missing something or do the people who make Litchi not consider slowing down the yaw an important feature? Any help appreciated.
I'm unsure and will have to do some testing on this. I'd think whatever settings you put into DJI Go on your last flight would remain and you simply wouldn't be able to continue changing them on the fly, but I could be wrong on this. Thanks for taking the time to watch though.
truthseekers666 I just extended (twist the knob to loosen and it will rise on the RC) then set and lock with the bottom screw. This tames the yaw dramatically. I have. Phantom 3 Standard and worked like a charm. No more jitters.
These tutorials are getting a bit dates at this point. Between the fact I was using a Phantom 3 Advanced (and you might be using a more recent quad) and updates to the app, I'd suspect that makes up the difference. If you are using ios that will also look different. Thanks for watching.
P_GPS stands for Positioning with GPS. Sometimes it will also say P_VPS which means it has lost GPS/satellite signal and is using the Vision Positioning System to position its self. Positioning swaps between both to keep the quad stable. F_GPS stands for Function_GPS. It is the 'F' position of the switch and must be turned to this mode before you can use intelligent flight modes (such as orbit/waypoints/etc). Hope this helped. Thanks for watching.
Where is the return to home Button on lichi I carnt fined it I still having to flick switch bk worth I like The app but far I can tell it don’t have a rtl button like Dji add
Just a question. How many time, on average, do you say in a day: "basically" and "essentially" with an hypnotic-attitude-voice? Have you recorded, do you have some funny data also about this?
Oops! ... sorry Husky-Flies, I was thinking how many times, not how long. So, the number of times in a day. Maybe 100 x, 1000 x, or basically a lot more?
Basically I feel a hypnotic voice is essential when producing any good tutorial....this basically takes out the element of editorial inference that can distract from the subject matter that is being conveyed for educational purposes. Husky-Flies presentation style is perfect for relaying information on the subject that is being covered. The viewer does not have to filter out opinion from the essential information being conveyed. If a viewer already is an expert on subject, the fast forward and next video buttons are readily available for use. Based on comments he is receiving, viewers are very appreciative of the content, time, and presentation style of the executive producer of the series. Basically if it is essential for a viewer to get a warm fuzzy feeling when watching a video , then my I recommend, product backed sales oriented type presentations. The smoke being blown can give the feeling of "Better than sliced bread" I have to get 2 of them or " Only driven to church on Sundays" (Great job Husky-Flier! Mom)
I was using android in this video although having an ipad myself - they DO look different but the options themselves are relatively similar. Thanks for watching though.
It's a shame Litchi took away all 32 channels. I did 17,040 feet 3.10 miles with my Phantom 3 Advanced. I'll be posting the video soon. Check out my channel I'll sub you if you sub me back. Thanks for taking the time to explain the camera settings. Mucho appreciated. JOHNNY J FLA Thumbs up for you !!!

THank you for watching and I am glad I could help.
Very very helpful! Just purchased a used Mavic Pro/Litchi App & videos like this are so helpful! Thanks sooo much!!
Essential video series for those of us whom just bought the app! Thanks!
I really like the blue arrow which helps me relocate a specific instruction in the tutorial. Great work again.

Thanks for the kind words and I am happy it helped. :)
Husky-Flies lol, my phantom seems to like litchi better than the "go" app. Hooked up without a hitch and the range is way better. ☺

Thanks for the tutorial. Any way to override the maximum altitude of 500m (1640ft)?

I wanted to know the maximum distance achieved with litchi app with a stock RC for DJI P3S.
Thank You in Advance

When battery get low does it do an auto home return? Like the dji app

I am not sure, to be perfectly honest. I do not own a P4, and it can be effected by what device you use as well. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
thnx for this tut. 1 Q: when calibrating my mini 2 in dji fly app, i have to do so with the nose (camera) up....in litchi it tells me to do this with nose down.......is that correct?
Is there zooming option in litchi like DJI fly app (I use Mini 2)?
Thank you!
Thank you for watching!

is it true that DJI does not pay for any drone crashes, that happened while using the litchi app?
I'm unsure. Never had to file an accident with DJI. But I would assume it is. They are generally very strict.
parabéns pelo video
vc sabe dizer como ativo a função home lock para que fique o icone na tela do celular
When I try to do a panorama, it tells me I have to be in P-mode. How do I switch to that?
No IMU calibration on Litchi?
using the litchi app? lost connection, thought it would still record while still doc the mission?!!!
Ive just started using this app and was shocked and dissapointed that there is no settings for things like expo or yaw limit... so yaw is way over sensitive like in the go app. you cant even touch the sticks on the Phantom3 without it veering off like a crack addict on speed! I think im going to end up doing a hardware hack to manually limit with resistors on a toggle in out switch. The yaw must be tamed ;-)
truthseekers666 I just extended (twist the knob to loosen and it will rise on the RC) then set and lock with the bottom screw. This tames the yaw dramatically. I have. Phantom 3 Standard and worked like a charm. No more jitters.
Thanks so much for these tutorials! Any idea why my menu screen looks nothing like yours. It's totally different. I just downloaded the app yesterday.

Yep, I figured that out. I'm on IOS and you're on Android. That's the difference. Thank you!!
Please tell me,,i used litchi app but i can not take off,,,Mid top Disconnect,,please help me
Hi. If i set the preview bitrate from 6 to 4 can i increase or the stability of the video signal on p3s? Thx
I believe so. I think a lower quality/bitrate allows for further range. Thanks for watching!
can not effect in p3s. unfortunately it wont work :(
When i use litchi, my p3 pro dont fly more then 50 meters. How setup app to go more further? thanks
If I had to guess I would say it is somehow set into beginner mode. But I do not own a P4 Pro so sorry I can't be of more help. Thanks for watching.
what is the difference between P_GPS and F_GPS?
P_GPS stands for Positioning with GPS. Sometimes it will also say P_VPS which means it has lost GPS/satellite signal and is using the Vision Positioning System to position its self. ok, thanks for ur fast reply

HI.. When I record on my s10,how can I view it or edit my recordings from my phone without a ramm computer?
Is their an app I can use ?CheersJay
Can probably find something on the play store but not an expert on this unfortunately. Thanks for watching.
what about horizon calibration?my horizon is diagonal
I know there is an adjustment for this in the cam options of DJI Go. I'm unsure if Litchi has the same. Thanks for watching.
I looked and don't have transmission channels
Good job. Like and Sub. Thank you!!!
Thank YOU for watching and the kind words. :)
Where is the return to home

Hi, the dynamic homepoint works well? thanks
Just a question.

Less time than it took you to post this comment.

wow thanks good info !! but if you think you said essentially a lot listen again and hear how many times you used an unnecessary SO!!!!
keith brassell Haha thanks for watching
Why does the author's app, look so much different than mine on my iPad? Maybe the author is using android.
I was using android in this video although having an ipad myself - they DO look different but the options themselves are relatively similar. Thanks for watching though.
Duh, I should have figured that out. Thanks for the reply.
Vasil Spasoff Thank you for the question and taking the time to watch.
It's a shame Litchi took away all 32 channels. I did 17,040 feet 3.10 miles with my Phantom 3 Advanced. I'll be posting the video soon. Check out my channel I'll sub you if you sub me back. Sorry for the late reply but will certainly check out your channel. :) Also I didn't realize they had killed off all 32 channels. That's a damn shame.
question,i can't give any number in the field go home alt and max alt....how does that com?what's wrong?
I have always just entered the values and never had any issues with it. Apologies I can't be more help.
Very well done! Thank you!
