Suga is constantly demonstrating his inner battles. I love it. 💯

    There two meaning
The other meaning of "haegum" is applied when it is used in popular Korean vernacular, in which it means "lifting a ban and allowing something that is forbidden," as host IU explained while interviewing Agust D on IU's Palette in April 3023

Loved this analysis, but could have happily sat for another 20 minutes or more to learn more from both of your perspectives 😂

These two Agust D songs remind me of The Who's song, We Won't Get Fooled Again. The last lyric is, "meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

The characters are haegeum in Chinese 🙂
BTW, this is the third one in the Agust-D trilogy. Not sure if you have watched Daechwita, this one is related to that. The first I noticed in MV is that Daechwita MV also starts with the Chinese characters 大吹打, and there is a scar on the king’s face in Daechwita which is like the Suga’s character in suit in haegeum’s MV.

Some were arguing that the detective and the gang boss, are descendants of the king and the peasant from daechwita. It feels like it wants to portray that things are bound to be repeated if the circle is not broken and that although being a bad person is not inherited through genes, we definitely can continue their bad legacy.

.no disrespect to both of you, the chinese characters you see is a word play the sounds the same as "Haegem" in korean for the musical instrument...as the Korean language itself are mainly written in the olden day using chinese charcters... so in this context the chinese characters means " lifting the ban" but I am not so sure if the meaning in Korean holds the same meaning.....

Definitely an homage to The Dark Knight, Joker and Scarface. (His song Tony Montana)
His documentary on Disney+ is incredibly interesting. In regards to what idols can't do without causing a scandal.
I really like the idea that if you don't learn the lesson, you are doomed to repeat it until you get it right. So, the characters from Daechwita are brought back. I can't wait to see what the 3rd part brings to the table.
    😘💜🫰🏻

Appreciated the thoughtful discussion. I loved the references to many different movies like the Joker in the Dark Knight, and Tony Montana. A lot to unpack with this one.

SUGA and AGUST D are obviously different personas but in a way similar (share the same body). I’ve always looked at AGUST D as MIN YOONGI’s real self. Like our man as come for our souls with this modern intake of DAECHWITA. A unspoken fact, in my opinion as a Kpop stan for 15 years Ive only known BTS as the artists who are bold enough in talking bout those forbidden truths within and outside of their music. Im sure there other artists before them that attempted to bring light into dark side of the culture to try to break free of the old ways that are outrageously wrong in todays present world while in a new decade. From what I remember the plot shows good vs evil personas of himself (the mad king vs new blood - Old AGUST D vs Present AGUST D) as he continues the inner-battle with greed & temptation. *HAEGEUM means to lift a ban.* #HAEGEUM #AGUSTD

I'm from America you guys are the coolest professors at ever seen I just love you.
You take time to understand the concept of btss and I like it,
Agust D he's a badass somebody has to be that in the group of BTS.
I love when he act doubles/same person because it looks so real
His lyrics are so profound with great meaning. this is just his style of like appropriate.
Some countries wants to ban his song because he's using curse words that people use everyday.
Why they try to portray the world is warm and fuzzy when they use words like this all the time.
Suga is a grown man his lyrics are going to get harder.
I love Suga because what he's been through in life he doesn't let anybody dictate to him what to say and how to say it.
I'm a 59yr old black African American women that is a Preacher and it's not offended by Agust D or BTS music at all. Because they have truth in the lyrics, too many people get offended by the deliverance of the message.
