Kawhi won 2 DPOYS, 2 championships, and 2 FMVPS before he even turned 28. During his time with the clippers, the only thing you can fault him for his blowing a 3-1 lead against the nuggets in 2020. Everything else was due to bad injury luck

Even when you take into consideration his accomplishments. Your ability to stay healthy imo is also part of how good you are. Let’s be real, when healthy, Kawhi is probably a Top 3 playoff performer (Top 5 at worst) in the league right now imo. The man literally ups his game every postseason and only injuries take him out. Game 7 against the Nuggets in the bubble is the only time I’ve legitimately seen Kawhi be terrible in the postseason. If we’re going to downgrade him for consistency, then it is what it is. However, we can’t act like the man has never proven himself.

Doc Rivers has blown many 3-1 leads and if not for his chip with the Celtics, he probably wouldn’t be regarded as highly as a coach. He’s good but the team needed Tyron Lue to help build chemistry and a successful system for the stars to thrive in.
