The IGN impression video mentioning objective defense missions and Riddler puzzles made me a bit less hyped for this but overall I'm still quite hyped based on everything else I'm seeing.
Honestly so tired of people complaining about killing the justice league. It’s literally the title of the game. This is different and fresh. Yes similar to looter shooters but the narrative is what we’re all really there for.

The cutscenes were good. The writing was decent. The shooting actually feels great. The traversal is great. The gameplay loop was bad. It felt like a game from the gamecube/ps2 era. Its just go here shoot horde; stand in circle type of stuff. Empty map. Riddler trophies were the only thing to collect. And there is no puzzle to get them. They are just there to grab, a handful of riddles to complete. And the AR traversal type challenges. There were no citizens. No NPCs. No quest givers. The game is a shooter. Like Apex Legends. Not a superhero game like Avengers. There really isnt melee. Everyone plays the same except traversing and there little cooldown abilities. Like Apex legends. Unlike Avengers where every character felt unique and had personalized movesets. Button mapping doesnt feel great. They put dodge on a L3. The skill tree was one of the worst ive ever seen. And the loot affixes were also useless. Shark and boomer’s abilities are awesome. Deadshots and Harleys were lame imo. There wasnt a boss battle in the demo. I am worried how they will be when basically the only way to interact with this world is shooting things with ur gun.

One way or another multiversal shenanigans will see to it that the Justice League are available to be used in a future game from Rocksteady. As long as the story does a good job of justifying why I'm going from point a to point b doing seemingly video gamey tasks I'm sure it'll serve as a fine way to kill dozens of hours while waiting for the next big thing to drop and as such will be worth the price of admission. Mind you I'm the type that solo'd Avengers and got the Platinum twice by my lonesome and had a mostly grand time doing so and this game already looks at least better than Avengers.
I showed my wife IGNs 26 mins of King Shark, Capt Boomerang, Harley and Deadshot, or well it was mostly King Shark lol. Anywho I was like you interested and she was like yeah looks like The Divison elements meets DC, so excited to check it out Jan 30th for the deluxe edition.

From my own playthrough, I had two huge problems. 1. Mobility is super limited ( lack of a sprint without hero traversal ). 2. The leveling system is HORRIBLE, giving us three trees to level into is pointless if you have to waste points just to get to the skills you want to. Outside of that, the story seems great and Im looking forward to seeing how it plays out.
I do wonder whether or not this game would've been better off ditching the verticality approach and just been a proper "on the ground" co-op game where melee could've been a bigger emphasis for certain characters. I'm really eager to see if the traversal improves deeper down the trees 'cause it just didn't hit for me with certain characters.

I think a borderlands style leveling system would do wonders for build crafting. King Shark not being a melee based tank with ranged options is a huge miss in my opinion. Granted he somehow still made it out with the best mobility in the game 😂. I still can't wrap my head around why Harley controls so poorly when rocksteady themselves made Arkham. (Momentum would make Harley feel x100 better)
Although i am rather excited to try this game, i cant shake the feeling that there was day we would have an unlockable charachter or 2 via gameplay, i know the new ones are going to be free but still would be a nice surprise if there was a "secret cow level" where we get to play around with the justice league, or a superman horde mode.

I think there is a plausible arguement in the fact that that a Arkhamverse justice league game would’ve been better or at least better received. This part I am very confident about. If you asked fans what they would’ve wanted ; a Arkhamverse justice league game or suicide squad game ; 8 or 9 times out of 10 they would say justice league game. I think it boils down to the fact that most fans would rather play as Batman again, Superman, flash, green lantern instead of just people with guns, Which yes I know that’s the point of the suicide squad. They’re not the most amazing villains but they are good in their own way. While I’m on the side of that we should’ve gotten a Arkhamverse justice league game instead I won’t hate on the suicide squad game completely. It’s just my opinion. I will admit that it does look visually appealing and fun it would’ve been cooler and better if we could’ve gotten a Justice league game Like I think what would’ve made this game better received is if once the league members are beaten and broken free from brainiacs control we would be able to play as them. Look i absolutely loved sunset overdrive, I thought it was a fun self aware game with bright colors and over the top movement and guns but I think this game should be closer to a horror survival (not in terms of health) but you are a relatively underpowered villains fighting figurative gods (the justice league) the squad should always feel like you are surviving by the skin of your teeth
Apparently there's a level where batman stalks the squad and you get to see essentially the thug perspective of getting hunted by batman which if they do a unique mission for each league member that should help each encounter feel fresh
People are just over hating. As someone who played the alpha it’s got some of the most fun shooter gameplay I’ve ever played. The movement can’t be beat. Gonna pre order the deluxe

They made the combat and characters to goofy imo. I wanted a darker game and thought the title meant it was going to be dark. I feel like DC is constantly trying to be marvel and not tap into the darkness of a lot of their characters. Comedy still their just darker.
They should have just made it a separate universe from the Arkham series. No matter how good the game is, people are going to hate it because it's not like the Batman games.
All about those builds. The incentive to find cool and exciting variations. I keep going back to the division 2 for that exact reason. I would love something else to get excited about in terms of loot and build variations unique to my play style. Would you get the deluxe or standard version? I play on ps5

I'm huge comic book fan and particularly a DC fan. I have watched several previews and I just can't get excited for this game. I don't understand the setting and all the roof top fighting. To me it feels like this should be another game but they put Suicide Squad skins on it. At this point I'm not in on launch.

Yes, if you are playing solo you can switch at any time. There are certain moments where the game will encourage you to switch to a specific character for narrative reasons and you receive a buff for that character during it.
This game actually looks fun but the gunplay looks like the most boring part and they built the combat around it. This would be great as a more brawling movement based game.

And to those who dont want to play the game dont be attacking others for wanting to play this game cause their interested plus its their money they use it how they want. We all have likes and dislikes its called 'preferences'. Like i dont like elden ring but i like bloodborne. I dont like fortnite but im ok with destiny. Its all just prefrences👍

Half or more of the people that made the original Arkham games are more than likely not there anymore, if I remember correctly there has been a bit of people who have left that worked on the first 3 games.

One thing I’ll give to rocksteady is that they’re being ambitious with this genre by creating fun gameplay and a interesting story. No actual DC fan will enjoy playing a game where the premise is to use Jobbers from the DC verse to somehow manage to kill god tier characters. In the comics Flash GL and Superman (especially Brainiac controlled) would wipe the fodder Main Characters before they even had a chance to make a snarky comment. Hell even animated versions would completely squash the group of nobodies they assembled.

It's already been stated multiple times by DC and Warner there will be no over lapping between animation, games and movies so no that will not happen.

One thing I’ll give to rocksteady is that they’re being ambitious with this genre by creating fun gameplay and a interesting story. People are gonna give it shit but I’m intrigued because it’s not like Marvel’s Avengers or Call of duty bullshit. Let’s not forget WB is the culprit but rocksteady is trying

There biggest mistake is them using the Arkham Batman in this dead on arrival looter shooter live service game. I’m betting there gonna have the dumbest or most generic reason for him being here and he’s not even gonna be like how he was he’s prob gonna be tossed around by the squad and it’s shameful. You can literally guess the ending already that there gonna use some bs time warp alternate reality to undo everything and all the deaths that could happen
It’s been confirmed there’s a section of the fam where Batman hunts you down and you get the perspective of being a thug being followed by him. None of the league look like they get tossed around. Sorry to say
The cutscenes were good. The writing was decent. The shooting actually feels great. The traversal is great. The gameplay loop was bad. It felt like a game from the gamecube/ps2 era. Its just go here shoot horde; stand in circle type of stuff. Empty map. Riddler trophies were the only thing to collect. And there is no puzzle to get them. They are just there to grab, a handful of riddles to complete. And the AR traversal type challenges. There were no citizens. No NPCs. No quest givers. The game is a shooter. Like Apex Legends. Not a superhero game like Avengers. There really isnt melee. Everyone plays the same except traversing and there little cooldown abilities. Like Apex legends. Unlike Avengers where every character felt unique and had personalized movesets. Button mapping doesnt feel great. They put dodge on a L3. The skill tree was one of the worst ive ever seen. And the loot affixes were also useless. Shark and boomer’s abilities are awesome. Deadshots and Harleys were lame imo. There wasnt a boss battle in the demo. I am worried how they will be when basically the only way to interact with this world is shooting things with ur gun.
This just looks way to arcadey and messy

@@TheOrderofDylan No he is right. The fact you even said "Dc fans will enjoy..." No actual DC fan will enjoy playing a game where the premise is to use Jobbers from the DC verse to somehow manage to kill god tier characters. In the comics Flash GL and Superman (especially Brainiac controlled) would wipe the fodder Main Characters before they even had a chance to make a snarky comment. Hell even animated versions would completely squash the group of nobodies they assembled.
