Amazing please keep going and do other modules
That is my plan hebanabil!
Very nice work
Thank you!
Thank you for your excellent videos. In slide 119 I think right side and left side would be changed. Expiration makes left side murmurs louder.
Yes, I should have added that to my correction video. Thank you!
Noticed one thing at 1-32-13 :
left sided murmur gets louder with expiration,
right sided -with inspiration
Thank you for your great work!
Hey! Not sure what you are referring to.. didn't I say that in the video?
Question 119 you are saying left sided murmurs louder with expiration and right with inspiration, but picture shows opposite time is 1-05-51
Q119 ( 1:05:53 ) wrong info notice. inspiration - Rt sided murmur, expiration - Lt sided murmur
Is right.
Thank you for great Q bank!!!
I really appreciate it!!
Nice!! rrr...
Love your videos, AJ
I am so sorry for not responding!!!!!!!!! Thank you for watching. What gave it away was the location - for aortic stenosis they'd say it was in the aortic area, not the left sternal border
See image: step1.medbullets.com/cardiovascular/108013/heart-murmurs
Would really love pharmacology soon❤
I hope to get there... working on IM now
@@AJmonics thank you for all you do!

I hope to finish pediatrics today or tomorrow
I need a little bit more time, I am sorry
I'm so excited the vocabulary is familiar.
=) Yay! Thank you
God bless you
Thank you
Hello AJmonics I have one question from your video! For Cardiac Tamponade why is the LV preload decreased but then PCWP is increased? I thought PCWP is the same thing is L sided preload. Thank you so much and thank you for everything you do- this is the best Cardio review I have seen!!!
I just JUST JUST made a video on this two days ago!!! th-cam.com/video/XdE_XKAuUWg/w-d-xo.html
Please watch it!!! I don't take such pride in my videos, but I worked pretty hard on this one to explain these factors CLEARLY.
The basic idea is: imagine ENTIRELY squeezing your pet mouse - now he can't drink or pee because everything is squished up. Same thing is true with tamponade. EVERYTHING is squished up.
PCWP is increased because that measures PRESSURE. PRESSURE is increased. Since pressure is increased, VOLUME is decreased. That's what LV preload is - VOLUME. Please let me know if this makes sense to you.
@@AJmonics WOW!!! You are an amazing human being this literally made everything click. I am going to watch your video too now. thank you sooooo much!!!!
That was EPIC
=) Thank you!
Thankyou so much !! this was such a good review . Can you also make a quick review on Paediatrics ?
Working on pediatrics now! I hope to have it next week
q121 would it be valid to rule out a MI based on troponins if only 1 hour has passed? (since it elevates 4hrs later)
You are totally right, it would not be valid to rule out MI at that point
Thanks a dozen for the wonderful review . In Q 89, Is there an explanation why restrictive cardiomyopathy caused by amyloidosis was ruled out as a cause of right sided heart failure?
You are actually totally a hundred percent correct! Restrictive cardiomyopathy caused by amyloid would have a similar presentation!! I meant to add "pericardial calcifications" to the question - which is seen in constrictive pericarditis, but not in restrictive cardiomyopathy. (I hope viewers see this post, to avoid the confusion!) Thank you May!!!
I’m curious, for Q105, couldn’t it be a Turner Syndrome pt that developed aortic stenosis as a result of congenital bicuspid aortic valve? Or does her age rule that out?
You are making an amazing point - I didn't think that was as common though.. need to look into this
the murmur of aortic stenosis is heard along the 2nd intcs at right sternal border
Q49 why not carotid massage in AF and hemodynamiclly stable pt ?
Carotid massage can induce afib. Better for stimulating the vagus nervous for parasympathetics, not rate control. (Sorry for delay in my response, I have been very busy and traveling)
Do these videos cover like 90% of topics that we need to know for the step 2 ck exam?
Love the videos btw
I think so - but remember that you have to go over lots of practice questions too - because they ask questions is such sneaky ways.
are written notes for your videos available???
Not yet, working on finishing the series
Can this help with step 1 ?
I am so sorry for not responding!!! I am sure it will help, but not sure it's worth it.
HIGH YIELD!!!!
yup!
where is the ppt located?
I am so sorry for taking so long to respond!!! I have been putting all the slides together. If you don't see it on my website, www.AJmonics.com, let me know. Helpmerememberthat@gmail.com
Thanks bro your effort but why the options become only two
Because when students do questions, they always are stuck on two choices, all the others are silly answers. So I make it easier for you.
you're awesome, can i say more?
=) Thankyou yusra!
Is this only uworld based.
First aid structure, lots of uworld content (without any plagiarism), and truelearn
Thanks it really amazing
=) Thank you!!!
Where is part 1
This is the only part. Other parts refer to other subjects
🙏🙏🙏🙏
=)
Super HY stuff here
=) Thank you plutobaby. How'd you get that name?
100
Hey Laiela! 100 is a good thing right?
Good video but in drive through mode
=) Thank you!
Q67 is confusing! When pt is hemodynamically unstable, sonography is the option. CT abdomen/pelvis is when pt is stable. You said slight improvement in BP…doesn’t provide a lot to work with! Detail is important.
no way these are USMLE questions they are too easy
yes, I take USMLE questions, make them only 2 choices, and cut out all the blah blah blah stuff
