Great review Anthony! I wanted a CT6 so badly but it is really difficult to find them..at least here. I never really looked at the CT5 too hard because of the engine but that has plenty of power and if I got the turbo 6 I'd probably be at traffic court all of the time lol! Hope that you are doing great!
The CT5 is a fun vehicle and I like that they offer engine options to add to the performance. My second vehicle was a Cadillac XLR which I keep for around 8-9 years but with age it had a lot of engine oil leaks. This vehicle is a lot more solid. Happy Monday James
The luxury premium touches like chrome accents, etc. helps make the 550TT become a “stealth” speed demon. I chipped mine and it’s faster than a V and…, I like that.
I love this car and especially the fact its RWD/AWD but 237HP for a luxury sport sedan this size and price is a bit ridiculous. The V6 is great but pricey and not great MPG. The 325HP 2.7L should at least be an option and in my opinion should be the base engine for this car but that's about the only big flaw in this car. Otherwise its a good value and nicer than most of its competition.
I have a 2023 CT5, I disagree that the infotainment screen is slow. Mine feels quick and adequate when changing from one setting to another or if switching from AA to the Caddy home screen. My comparison is with the screen in my 2022 Mazda3.
Nothing wrong with that as the vehicle I tested was slower and the gps had some glitch. Maybe it was an over the air update but comparing to vehicles in its class you can see the different. No right or wrong answer but class to class 👍
Actually the perfect car but in classic gm fashion they ruin it in a major way. For one why is the v6 not a option on the sport trim? Also why does it have a 10 speed transmission? That is way to many gears, this thing isn't a semi truck all it does it make the transmission constantly change gears because it doesn't know what it wants to do.. literally just put the v6 on the sport and get rid of at least 2 of the gears and it would be perfection
Normal maintenance, only problems you will run into is cooling fans as they go bad on every vehicle (almost) around 70-80k. Some have had problems with the infotainment screen with glitch, transmission with rough shifts but overall 150-200k. I had my Cadillac till around 70k not one problem.
We (car review channels) should stop comparing US vehicles to way overpriced German ones. 30-40 years ago, there was a big quality difference but not so much today. Also, each nation has a different idea for what’s important to consumers. America is a monstrosity compared to European nations and that’s why we are SUV-aholics. Big families, big attitudes breed big vehicles and big houses. Europe’s more like a series of small fetish nations that focus less on family life and more on individual tastes and ideas which is ok, just different.
I don’t understand where you get all this insight from on this review. I not only compare a vehicle but explain almost every deal a person would need to understand the model and trim. As for other countries? I’m not going to say this country focuses on one’s self. I have family in a few other countries, maybe go out and check them out. You would be shocked to see they have big vehicles too 😁. The North America make likes SUV because of visibility and space. Which oversea is the same but they have more selection than this market with less expensive vehicles because statistically North America just buys on credit or leases. Now it’s the same everywhere but we are ok with 35-45k vehicles and no option for a cheaper alternative. Even fuel or MPG is better overseas with the same vehicle. I was in England just a few months back for a few weeks and a Mercedes C300 diesel, which we do not have gets over 1000 miles per tank. We don’t have any vehicle like that here in North America. Food was over 300-400$ cheaper to feed a family of 5 which is what I have and that’s per month plus to rent a 3-4 bedroom house in a upcoming neighborhood was 3500 a month. Again just look around before stating something and this Channel has a lot of overseas viewers, I know because I replay to every comment and they tell me even on the livestreams we do on Saturday. If you get a chance join in we all have an awesome time.

@@HawkeyeRides oh wow I love the cadillac corvette! I'm sure that you had a blast owning it. Thank you Anthong. Hope that you have a great week.
I had a CT4 V CADILLAC, I loved it. Great view as always.
That’s awesome congratulations 👍
Ha, I had to trade it. My girlfriend didn't like the Orange cinnamon color.
@@zachbackar5389did she buy it? 😂
They need a coupe version ASAP as Mercedes does with its CL versions & BMW with the 430i/440i coupe & Audi with the RS 5! Now that would be awesome!
I agree that would be awesome

530i-248hp, 540i-335hp. This comment doesn't make any sense.
I’ll wait for the 25. I’m just a sucker for more hi tech.

I don't know why car manufacturers are implementing more displays . Tech etc. The drivers eyes should be on the frck. Road and traffic. Just dumb IMO
Man they gotta let you test a CT5V black wing
Next time around 👍

Beautiful car.But the front is too close to ground!!
Clearance on these sedan is over 5-inches so it’s not as low as most sedans in this segment 👍
If this compete with the 5 series or similar size vehicle what does gm offer to compare to a 7 series
Nothing
@@HawkeyeRidesIt’s just another V2 CTS, competes with 5 series but with 3 series pricing which makes my 14 CTS V-Sport Premium superior
How many miles will this car last?

Twin scroll?
The turbine housing of a twin-scroll turbocharger is divided into two separate channels (scrolls).
The shark fin device on top used to look cool 20 years ago. Can we just get rid of it now. It looks like an ad hoc “stick on”.
@@mjb0183 you would think by now they would’ve changed it but 🤷♂️👍
Where did you read the twin turbo is getting 330 hp? It's 360...
Twin-turbo v6 335hp / Cadillac website:
www.cadillac.com/sedans/preceding-year/ct5
Premium luxury is 335hp only the V series model gets 360hp.
I bought the 2020 CT5 550t when it came out and it advertised 345hp 405tq!

No sunroof. Pass.
The nice thing about the ct5 is options with different trims and different motors. It’s one vehicle that has a lot of different ways to make it 👍
