Wayne & Evan... two giants of the antique auto industry.. if you two ever got a tv contract , i could only imagine what else you could do!👍👍👍
If I have right, this is powered by the Napier 240 hp L48 engine. This car sold for $742 000 USD. Napier was pretty much out of the car business by 1930. They built trucks and aircraft engines in the Great War. Several Aero engines became well known, the Lion in particular, it was used in Malcolm Campbell's and Henry Seagrave's land speed cars. In the Second World War they built the Sabre engine, used in Hawker Typhoons, and the Deltec engine used in torpedo boats and minesweepers and later locomotives. Also the Gazelle 1500 hp turbine used in some helicopters up to the early 60s. The aero engine branch became part of the Rolls Royce aero engine group. Napiers name is still used on a brand of turbochargers today.
I was able to watch this filming in Amelia Island. Also captured a short video of Evan driving it across the golf course. This car really is a Beast!
I enjoyed every episode of Chasing Classic Cars, REALLY liking these films! THANK YOU Wayne & crew 👍
Hey Wayne, , how you doing ?
"They " Being the Great Australian Engineer AW Bob Chamberlain. Also He rescued a rare Mercedes racer while WW2 was raging .A lot of his story on the restoration of the Napier was published in the Australian Restored Cars magazine.

Great video of a rare car.
How is no mention made of the 300' of copper pipe?
The cooling system is absolutely amazing. I'd like to to a video just on that!
