      Thanks for checking the video. After playing with my other cars for so long and finally getting up the nerve to take the Typhon back out because I was afraid to break something I was thrilled. None of my other cars even come close to preforming as well or producing as much fun. 👍👍

      Thanks my friend. I just need to get out and drive it more. The Typhon need a little TLC but nothing major. I like driving it so much.

  • @Rek_Rc

    The Typhon has to be the most versatile buggy in the RC world, you race it, bash it, speed it, and it's affordable. For the money it really might be the best all-round buggy. You drove the crap out of it too. I love it.

    • @RCRoads

      I'm inspired by the car. I'm going to focus on the 3s Typhon more. The only thing that is a bit expensive is the diffs but so far mine have held up well. If mine go out I would probably get a roller slider V3 not the TLR. I would probably destroy it. As a matter of fact I'm pretty sure the Typhon and Granite 3s share many of the same parts.. On my next run I am going to map out a track and try to keep the car on the dirt, even if I go slow. I'm going to really practice jumps and off road stuff only. I should be able to get better at driving if I stick to one car.

    • @Rek_Rc
      @Rek_Rc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Robert Ball RC the diffs for the 3s cars are expensive if you buy them competed. But in my experience when the diffs do go out, it's almost always just the crown gear, the internal gears are very very tough. If you just buy the outer part of the diff it's only about 10 dollars and usually you can get away with only changing out the crown gear. I call the main outer gear the crown gear, not sure if that's correct but the part that is driven by the input gear from the main drive shaft is what I mean.

    • @RCRoads
      @RCRoads  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rek_Rc Thanks for pointing that out to me. I'm not sure why I have such a fear of rebuilding a diff. The crown gear seems simple. I think my rear diff is fine for now. It was pulling to one side and I thought it was a striped out spline or something, The stock plastic / composite drive shafts are splined but the after market metals ones I have on it are hex shaped inside and have 2 set screws. It was just loose. Yesterday I went through the Typhon with a fine tooth comb. It's like brand new now. I even replaced the skid plates and willie bar as those were super cheap. I could use some better shock but it's not in the budget atm. I'm abandoning my other cars and just concentrating on the Typhon. Going forward I plan on getting a 2nd 3s V3 and keep it totally stock. It's the perfect car for me. I drool over the TLR version but it's way too nice to bash. I'm sure I would probably destroy it on the first day.

      Thanks for watching. For sure the Typhon gives lots of pleasure at a low cost. Easy to repair and fun to drive. I just wish I could drive as good as you. 😀I probably should take mine out more. My next purchase will most likely be a 2nd Typhon. Maybe a 6s and just run it on 4s. The rest of my cars seem like toys compared to the Typhon. 👍

      It's not really broken just worn out. I may tear it down and totally repair it. At least some shocks and rear diff. I think I'm going to just concentrate on one car and bash the heck out or it. The MT10 will give you much pleasure. Thanks for watching and supporting me. I really do owe you a lunch if your ever my way. 👍👍

    • @RCRoads
      @RCRoads  ปีที่แล้ว

      The shocks, links and hubs are after market E-Bay specials.
      Steering Rack GPM
      Front & Rear Aluminum Hubs HobbyMarking
      Drive shafts RCAWD
      Receiver / Gyro RadioLink
      Trencher tires ProLine
      I'm not sure what shocks I used but really they are cheap and really don't work that well.
      Thanks so much for watching and best of luck setting up your Typhon.
      I plan on concentrating on this car more because it's my favorite. I have not taken it out much because I was afraid to break something and meanwhile I was spending money on my other cars and neglecting my poor Typhon.

      Sound great. The Typhon is a great buggy for sure.

      This is some of the upgrades. All the parts came from E-bay and I also got an aluminum steering rack and 35kg servo through E-bay. Tires are from ProLine and are called Trenchers.
