    Sounds like a fun experiment 👍 i picked up a senton a few months ago, really impressed with how it drives. Seems like this line is beefy, big pins and bearing amd double shear everything. 4s power is definitly an option im looking at!

    Good plan! I really like the 3S platform. It is easy to work on and simple to convert from Typhon to Senton to Big Rock just by replacing the appropriate parts. I am curious to see how it runs both as 2wd and 4wd. One quick note about the HR motor plate; mine bent after one run. The aluminum is quite thin to accommodate the adjustable motor to spur distance. I can highly recommend the M2C motor mount and brace. I am hanging a 4092 motor off of it with no issue and it really stiffens that whole assembly. Eliminator RC carries it which is where I got mine.

    I totally agree about the shocks. They look so pedestrian and toy grade. Such a beautiful buggy. The first thing I did was pick up some cheap aluminum 1/8 scale shocks. I think I paid like $40 for all 4, front and rear. It drives about the same and the shock have been holding up fine. For a basher it really doesn't seam practical to put expensive shocks on the front end because they are so out there and expoused to damage.

    I’ve had mine since 2018 and still love it. Much more fun to drive than the 6s but I still prefer the 6s Typhon for jumping. I have one 3s Typhon lowered a bit with the 6s Typhon wheels that become slicks once they wear a bit and it is insanely fun to drive with a upgraded Hobby wing system. My other 3s typhon is lifted a bit with Proline Badlands buggy wheels and it is sick.
    I would go back with a BRCC with maybe the upgraded 4s Arrma shocks or the pro line shocks. Sent on is awesome but too much like the Typhon.

    These are a tank, ive bashed mine for hrs and only bent 1 turnbuckle so modded em to solid alloy shafts and its wicked now, sentons great but stock wheels are crap so budget for proline upgraded ones, and a dust cover over chassis, i got full alloy shocks for the Typhon from ali express for $20 and they are amazing , double the thickness shock shafts and red alloy makes it pop.

    I went with the aluminum shocks from Arrma that are similar to the oem ones. Came pre filled. Just like the ones on the 4s line up.

    You dont need the spool to make it 2wd really.. the slipper style in these cars is a 3-to-1 power ratio between the rear and the fronts anyway, and it's a 2-way slipper so if the rear rear slips it doesnt effect the front, so you can just remove the center driveshaft and keep the stock slipper.. it will work fine

    Great video Jason I've going to buy the arrma tyhon roller one much better for me has I've got some old esc and motor lying around 3s motor and 6s motors so maybe next put some of them in I think 🤔

    Here’s my idea: keep it 4wd, put the tires you got for the rear on the front and get some taller/wider paddle tires for the rear. They’ll be less affected by ruts made by the front tires and different wheel speeds from mismatched tire diameters won’t matter in the snow. Just a thought.

  • @bradkalman2353
    @bradkalman2353 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think the box tires would do decent in the snow.

    I would think about getting the metal gear set out of the 4s line if u put in the locker the plastic ring and pinion won't handle much abuse

    The weaknesses of the Arrma 3S platform have been well-documented by the RC community, so it will be interesting to see what your personal experience is with it. I think it's been unfairly elevated to the status of best-in-class when other 1/10 scale bashing platforms from other manufacturers have just as much to offer, if not more. Either way, though, I'm excited to see how it holds up for you. Good luck!

    The stock motor mount is better than the HR one, the stock one used to have just 3 positions, but now it's a sliding style and also they made it thicker at 6mm, while the HR is 5mm

    Those look interesting for front tires with the paddles. How long I'll go did proline come out with those tires?

    These were on sale over Black Friday for $239 (US)... I actually bought one but then returned it (unopened) because I didn't think I'd use it enough. Now I'm wishing I'd kept it. Maybe it'll go on sale again...

      Got mine in 2018 and have at least 30 RC’s and this is still one of my all time favorite rigs. Upgrade the shocks with the new 4s shocks or older 6s shocks or any upgrade and the thing is SICK! I run mine with the 6s Typhon wheels and its way better but I still love the stock wheels as well. This thing kicks ass on road as well.

  • @mehimrc1314
    @mehimrc1314 ปีที่แล้ว

    Spool was a waste of money, locktite the slipper remove the drive shaft job done 2WD.
    Your motor mount is basically stock still bends with a hard crash, (M2C or CRCU 7075) best bet.
    Rear diff will need metal yolks and shimmed or it will strip with stock power system let alone more power.
    Tyres you know best, I run badlands 2.8 great to see you with a 3S not many upgrades available but interesting to see what issues you come across.

    Those batteries are considered high voltage because it's 11.4 instead of 11.1 right?

      Yes. They charge up to 4.35 volts, instead of 4.2 volts per cell.

    But if you looking for RC that can really really get up and move the 3s Tyson is the fastest the most stable and the big rock is a great truck but it can flip over and tone so I recommend that you looking for a street bastard get a license or if you're looking for a bachelor at all take off road the three ass big rock is the best one

    The elf sent me a boost senton the two wheel drive that can be changed into a four-wheel drive. It can be changed to four wheel drive for 40 bucks it's not that much but I don't plan on doing it I hope to win Adams RC playgrounds 4x4 one that's a mega.

  • @zerrickdracing6784

    I wouldn't make it two wheel drive tho I would buy a two wheel buggy if I was to do that
