Agree with most comments here. The Jawa Perak and 42 Bobber are the authentic bobbers. The Goan Classic is a wannabe bobber that takes inspiration from how people used to modify their Bullets in the past. This has its own charm. On another note, I really wish RE makes the spokeless wheels standard across their models.
Well technically, bobbers were hard tail, and even 42 bobber is not a hard tail But, bobber and perak makes a lot more sense, with will hidden rear springs and authentic look and even better sound. But that engine is an issue, I have a friend who has scrambler, that engine is really powerful but has defects(it keeps on stalling) and the showroom is not helping either.
Rode this in Goa, the back ache was real, happens within just 15-20km. The suspension is alright, very flickable handling, super smooth engine but not too peppy, and the red and black colour is absolutely glorious.
2 things I'll say 1) This bike will sell only because of the tubeless spoked wheels. Or else it's nothing but a modified classic 350. 2) Now this bike with this design, is making shotgun 650 look horrible.
I really don't understand the criticism, so they have a Scram engine, 350 J series engine, liquid cooled 450, 650 twin and they are working on 750 cc and 250 cc too. So how many engine people expect RE to manufacture? Different engine for every motorcycle?
If royal decided to launch three more bikes with the same j series engine, I would NOT be mad at all. Why? Because i like to have choices. RE tumhe choice de rha hai usme tumahari jeb se kya ja rha hai? tum kyo pareshan ho? R&D ka kharcha to khud hi kar rhe hai.

I think it’s the stiffer suspension and the upright handlebar which contributed to your stiff back experience. I had a similar experience moving from the Duke 200 to the Adv 390 with the stock rear sus because of the upright seating position and didn’t really get it till I swapped the sus to adjustable and have it running on a softer setting now! That made all the difference!

I would say the handlebar is slightly wrong tilt angle. if it is parallel to the front forks, it will look even better. Seat should have been pushed back
So you equate HP with the price tag? The price is an element only till you acquire the bike after that it's all emotion and feel for the number of years you own the machine.
Wtf they priced it 2.35L? why that means it's gonna go for 2.69-2.71 for the single tone color! That's so stupid to price this more than meteor 350. This should have been priced in between classic and meteor. Dude this so illogical extra money just for the handlebar and tubeless tires! This is not a reasonable pricing!!
The Length must be increased to solve the discomfort issue in bobber style riding with the same j of classic 350.. Bobber high handle cruiser demands more length...
If you make this thing but 650, WITH a passenger seat. I'll upgrade from my meteor 350. The supermeteor is not convincing to me in terms of colorations.
@omsinha127 yes but low handle bar with forward set pegs will make it very uncomfortable.. plus tire sizes are different, seats are different and suspensions are tuned differently too.
Why is it that auto journalists are absolutely ok with RE 350s cruising speed of 80-90, but are intolerable for other brands if the cruising speeds are even 100-110? The same applies for the vibrations too. . . Even 150-250cc bikes can cruise at 100kph speeds peacefully 🙄. . .
This is primarily a city motorcycle. 80-90kmph in the city is more than enough. Also, a 250cc motorcycle if tuned well, can do 3 digit speeds easily. No complaints.

@@powerdriftofficial I disagree, It is a Thumper and a Long Stroke engine and makes it's peak torque low compared to mid strike engines just like 411, Which made its way as scram 411 and also various custom workshops all over the world are converting Hunter 350 and Classic 350 into scrambler's though and they are working OK.
there is a high chance this model is going to be discontinued in about a year...... the best thing royal enfield can do with the j-series engines is to make a light weight scrambler....... i have a theory.... they are making a lot of models with same engine is to put all those engines in the market to clear their inventory...... maybe they are gonna discontinue their 350cc foe the new 250cc engine...... or make a new 350cc engine....... a new 350cc engine with about 25hp would be sweet
They may do something similar like the scram440 engine:25hp and 6gears. Not that I need it on my Classic350... I'm amazed they did not opt for the belt drive option...

Its not stiff! Its firm. Can be used in the city but it won't be comfortable for a lot of folks
