The cartoon at 7:17 is Amby and Dexter (: (I've been asked a decent amount about it lol)
Ambidextrous
The energy of the 90s is so unique. You had to have grown up in it to know how amazing it really was. It was fun growing up as the internet came into widespread usage. The TV commercials just sound so much happier than what you hear today. Like, genuinely happier. Not cheesy or fake. These people aren't "trying to be happy," everything just WAS happy. Games and fun were everywhere. Am I the only one that saw things things this way?
Nah. The 90s felt like literal speed, bro LMFAOOO. Just look at how the commercials were of a kid LITERALLY spinning his head with all them damn cartoon sound effects and the “WHOAAAAAAA”. The 90s (particularly late 90s) had a real “cartoon in real life” vibe to it and it’s more than likely the reason I’m on pills now LMFAOOOO
Everything has gotten sadder because we're adults now and are more aware of things like politics, taxes, working, etc. It's all perspective and personal experience at the end of the day, though.
I was born in January 1990. It was indeed a happier time, but I also remember the 90's being gritty. In 1994, I recall Nine Inch Nails was all over MTV, I was playing Contra 3 and Super CastleVania 4, and in AJPW wrestling (All Japan) people like "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Kenta Kobashi were literally dropping people on their heads.
The gritty trend continued into the late 90's, but with a lot more colorful-ness added than the grunge mid 90's. Colorful gritty things like Marilyn Manson, the WWF Attitude Era, and fps/survival horror games. At the same time, despite his persona & sometimes depressing lyrics (like his song Tourniquet), Manson's concerts he treated them like a crazy party with everyone having fun. Thankfully, I had my Dad and Mom with me, hehe.
It was the last of the golden era and I'm afraid it's never coming back, but man we sure did have the best time in history.
Beautiful how you described our childhood @@albalog2449
born in 85.. 90’s kid.. this was an amazing decade to be a kid
'86 here! I agree 100%
Same here 85’ goin on 40 in a few months . It’s insane how times just passes by . I miss those days ❤
I can't stop crying over how I loved the big comfy couch... It was such a awesome kids show
I do like it but at the same time it kind of creeps me out
@@The90sAreRad Its ok :)
I honestly do not remember it and it was hard to remember The Amazon Trail. I thought it was something else.
@@The90sAreRad why does it creep you out?
Golden age of being a kid. No rose colored glasses. the world was just a better place to be... not hyper connected. not politicly crazy. affordable. the media had passion and was not full of propaganda. what a blessing to grow up in 90s!!!
Very well said!
I'm 31. Born in 1989. I'm so glad the majority of my childhood was in the 90s
It was a great time
@@The90sAreRad I have the AOL you got mail as my notification tone lol
Double 8 born baby, just turned double 3. I definately agree. 100%.
The generation that had the best videogame experience ever.
From NES/SNES/SEGA!!!! To PS2/Xbox/Gamecube and every game console in between.
And we rarely look our age. May 89
October '89😄
I love that theres an FBI warrning before everything xD
haha thank you!
Whats the FBI thing? Is it something that comes before a movie? Idk im european
@@Insert-thing-here-Fananti-copyright infringement warning to prevent pirating copies…surely there’s an EU equivalent?
@@bostonrailfan2427 Actually the FBI warning was done before or after the INTERPOL thing is shown on every DVD you buy as the INTERPOL thing was done before the DVD you watched and if you watch the whole CREDITS at the END of them if you pause before it goes black at more so the Year part the FB warning is at the END of THE END CREDITS still!
As INTERPOL WAS CREATED BY THE SWEDISH GOV'T FOR THE MEDIA PART AND IT IS STILL AROUND AS IT WAS BORN/CREATED ON THE SAME DAY MY OLDEST BROTHER WAS BORN ON WHICH WAS SEPT 8, 1977 WHICH ALL MEDIA SINCE THEN ADHERE'S TO W/ NEW MEDIA AS IN IT'SATHAT PROTECTIVIE COATING ON YOUR DVD'S THAT YOU BUY TODAY IN WHICH THAT YOU CAN'T BURN THE MOVIE YOU BOUGHT ON A DISC!
I think that's still in use@@bostonrailfan2427
I was born June '93 and I legit have chills watching this. The nostalgia hits heavy. Being a kid in the 90's was really something special - where we actually enjoyed life and the simpler things. Not all of this social media and talk about disease, war and civil unrest. If I had one wish, it would be to revisit or even live in this era.
I was born June '93 as well.
@@stevenbahena5956 I was born in September 93 all this shows were the best proud to be born in the 90s generation
The skip-it one really got me! I had one of those things too, man it hurt when it hit your ankle, but it was so much fun!
I had a skip it also. Probably one of my absolute favorite toys I had growing up. I feel like it hurting my ankle just made me try that much harder to not mess up. 😂
@MommaBeeb exactly! I feel like those kind of toys really did toughen you up. At least more than my kids Xbox does.
I had a purple one, LOVED it and wore it out good 🥲
Fun fact: The alarm sound on Figure it Out when the slime is about to fall is on the iPhone. And Danny Tamberlli has said on his podcast that the sound still has a traumatic effect on him haha. Instantly takes him back to getting slimed
I just noticed that
I’m from late ‘98, so there’s so many 90s things I never got to experience, but the ones that bled into the early 2000s, I remember fondly. Big Comfy Couch and Bear in the Big Blue House were my favorite shows when I was about 3-4 years old, and I wish I had VHS tapes of them
Dude this is some deep cut nostalgia
Retrogamer101 that’s what I was going for!
husband looked at me like i was a crazy person when i started singing every tv intro as it played. arthur's theme still slaps
I was born in 91 so glad I lived and experience the 90s definitely miss this era
Same here. Thanks for watching!
I'm 36 years old (born in 1986) and we had tons of awesome stuff back in the day
Bill Nye the Science Guy! I always looked forward to watching it at school!
Omg yes!!!! I remember it used to come on after school
So fortunate that I was able to experience all of this as a child 🤗
Born in March of 93. Somehow I am able to remember a lot of these. I must have a good memory or something, because I can vividly remember Christmas 96. Wish I could have lived through the entire decade to experience it
Also, NOTHING beats 90’s nick. Figure it Out, GAS, all that, Keenan and Kel, hidden temple, double dare, my god those were great times
I'll totally agree with that!
I also wish I could’ve experienced all of the 90s
was born right in the middle - May of ‘95
Legends of the Hidden Temple damn. I watched this on Nick GAS as a kid. Wow. Crashbox and Toonami were also mainstays. Lisa Frank, Tomogatchi, and short sleeves over long sleeves as grunge fashion. What memories.
4:21 this sound moved all my memories! Does anyone remember the programming block Boomerang from Cartoon Network?
sure do!
No
@@Windows-rx7qn really or just sarcasm? lol
@@Lj28124 i do haha, we had it in the UK too
And toonami!
Born in '83, and really missing the 90s. When the Arthur song came on, I was happy that I remembered 90% of the words.
Damn, give me one more chance at the summer of 1991. I'd do so much and cherish every single second of it. Simpler times, good friends, malls, movies at the theater or renting from blockbuster, arcades and home video games, my local amusement water park, camping, fishing, bike rides, sleepovers... there was just so much to do and experience...
😢😢
😢😢I was 8 back then
I was born in 88, homeschooled and Bill Nye was literally science class for me 😂😂
He wasn't really a scientist, he just had a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
On the other hand, Dolph Lundgren has a Bachelor's in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering as well as a Master's in Chemical Engineering. Mayim Bialik, who played a Neuroscientist on 'The Big Bang Theory' actually has a PhD in Neuroscience.
This brought tears to my eyes. What I wouldn't give to back 30 years and enjoy reliving my childhood in the 90's. I remember all of these, makes me long to be a kid again before life happened.
I still know the whole intro to Arthur it was a show I always had watched as a kid awesome video btw
It’s a great show! Thanks for watching (:
It sure is a great show and you’re welcome Btw
Still comes on and got my son loving it 💙
90s kid and sure the 90s had it's own problems, and my childhood wasn't magically "happier" but it sure feels that way at times compared to stories I hear on FB and X (Twitter)
Born in '93. Loved the 90s! Best time to grow up
I was born on 1991 and I remember the 90s good times to be alive
Same
The very best thing of all, is there’s a counter on the ball.
SKIPPPP IT SKIPPPP ITTT
That commercial hit me in the feels hard 😭😭
Had a pink one 💗 lol
That confused me. Like: Why is that the best thing of all?
I remember Skip Its being popular in 4th grade ( 2000/2001) and kids brought them to school at recess but I never played with them.
they should make a channel that is nothing but 90s commercials and tv shows
that would be awesome!
www.my90stv.com/
You're welcome!
I totally agree!!!👍👍👍
I second this
That's what I was thinking
Oh MAN that intro to Kablam was so nostalgic!
88 baby and 90s kid here, so glad I grew in the 90s
I miss good old 90a stuff I had the Kinex remmber play with them alot.
Ahhhhh!! The first one was The Big Comfy Couch. My heart!!! 😲😍❤🤗
CaseyBrinleeMusic indeed! It’s a show that creeps me out (not a fan of clowns of any type lol) yet is so nostalgic
@@The90sAreRad I'm not a fan of clowns either (still not), but I guess Loonette helped the fear. I even have the Loonette doll.
CaseyBrinleeMusic oh that’s awesome!!
8:47 Ant-Man is playing SNES! God I love and miss the 90s. Born in 1986! #90skid
Paul Rudd in Super Nintendo lol that was way before clueless!! Imagine that when nobody knew who he was lol
11:32 - You hit the obscurity motherlode. Sprinkle Spangles smh wow man. I'm saving this video to share because I can't tell you how many times I've mentioned this cereal to people as an adult, and they look at me like I'm crazy.
I also loved the cereal. It was almost like a harder version of captain crunch, with the texture of of Cocoa Puffs, but with sprinkles.
I was born in 82, so my entire childhood was the 80s and 90s. I definitely loved the 90s more because kids programming had, in my opinion, hit its peak then. Nick took over the genre and my sister and i loved every minute. Nicktoons, Nick game shows, and Nick movies were the best. Disney had amazing cartoon series, too (Gargoyles, Gummie Bears, Rescue Rangers, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc). But I'll admit that Nick stole most of our attention. 💜 I'm so happy that that i grew up then. The very last decade before the internet became mainstream and cell phones were only owned by the wealthy in most cases.
1 year later I was born on October 6, 1983
don't be sad its over, be happy you were there
I was surprised to hear Arthur stopped airing only now in 2022! I had seen a lot of memes from it crop up in recent years but I assumed it was just an old show that retained a lot of cultural relavance.
April of 92 here. Sup 90's fam.
Born 84, and just yes!!! Ty for showing this ♡
“A part of this complete breakfast”…that really takes me back
They changed that to "part of a good breakfast"
It's crazy how these theme songs are filed away somewhere deep in ur brain that u haven't visited in decades
Thanks for posting! These bring back a lot of good memories. I was born in 1989, and I was 30 when this video was posted. I wonder how you found and compiled all these clips.
Thanks for watching! I went back in time and got all of these recordings and brought them back. Or I might have just spent a few hours searching the internet for clips. Imma go with the first one though lol
Dear Lord, the Zoombinis really got me! I totally forgot about that until I hear the first few notes of the music! Need to look up the full thing now...used to play that all the time.
Too bad it won't play on modern machines. Do you remember the Math Blaster/Reading Blaster games?
There is a version of it available on Google Play
Wow..definitely nostalgia right there..so many good memories!!
Yeah there is! Thanks for watching (:
Born February 87remember all this lol most of us 90s kids now have kids of our own hard to believe it's been that long daaaaaamm.
I was born in '92 and i remember everything from my childhood!
Me too
I'm a June 97i remember a lot of this
WOW the Amazon Trail intro and main screen music just got me SHOOK!
BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL BILL!
That is actually Paul Rudd at 8:49
Bruuuuuhhhhh. I just hit 32, my brain needed these fun sounds. Lol
Oh my god, the zoombinis 😍
THE BEST!
1983 so i was a teen in the 90s. Perfection 🥰 this hit me in the feels lol
90’s kids are awesome! I loved that time!❣️
Big Comfy Couch outro of her going to sleep is strangely sad now.
It is, I always found it a little creepy too
Great work. I loved seeing Paul Rudd as the random cool older kid playing Super Nintendo.
Kablam is the best show of my 90s childhood!
Shit, I miss these days. Born in 89 and raised in the 90s.
I definitely remember most of this and loved it growin’ up Somethings I don’t remember and other things I never really got into because I was either too old for it or just not interested I definitely remember a lot of people got into the show Hidden Temple but I could’ve taken it or left it💯
Is that Paul Rudd at ~8:50 lolololol
Amelia Wheeler it sure is!!
I had to pause it like “Hold up...Paul Rudd!?”
his very first acting job
I'm Canadian, so the Nickelodeon and other US-centric stuff isn't familiar to me, but The Big Comfy Couch really takes me back! I loved that show when I was little. Something about hearing the opening and closing themes makes me feel all cozy 🥰
I was born in 87 but the 90s was my childhood and the best times.
The Big Comfy Couch got me right in the heart! Omg! Tears!!!
Did Freddie Mercury sing the part at 2:00 😂
haha no
Now Im gonna get myself some cereals
Do it!!
I'm a mid 2000s kid born in 2006,and I remember everything 90s,it's as if in a past life I was a 90s kid
I was born in 1999 grew up in the 2000s but we both had a similar childhood by watching 90s shows.
I can't even begin to the explain the excitement I felt when my parents bought me a skip it💖😂
8:29 that sound gives me the comforting feeling of home after school.
That’s kinda funny, because that sound/sequence actually reminds me of the upset feeling I’d get knowing that an episode of a show is officially over once it plays😭😆
in that mood tonight. thank you for this video
I'm 23 born in 1999 but still got to enjoy what I could and thins brings me happy tears
Hey! Nice tune! 1:53
Where's FURBY?
I’m 33 and I love ❤️ 90’s movies
I love 90s movies too!
1989 babies
Big comfy couch!!!!
Yeah!!
This was GREAT!!! I remember every one of these!!
Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it (:
HEY! I used to play that game! 3:40
You know what I am a father of 3 kids and a married man and I know will make sure that a few hours a week I go back to “being a kid”‘which pretty much just means I am gonna do me the way I want to. When you were a kid you just did whatever made you happy no matter what and now that I am an adult I need/want that back and damn it I’m gonna make it happen!
11:48 Jubilee from X-Men the animated series 92-97
Someone calls me a human slime magnet, imma fight em.
I'm in my 30s and i still love Pokemon.
Born in 86 and I remember everything on this video ❤
Ill do anything to go back to these days
nobody mentioned it, but nice VCR static at the end. i had no clue there was an Oregon Trail spinoff let alone whatever Zoombinis was, then again it came out when my school system redid every school so they weren’t keen to buy new stuff
and I know i recognize Amby and Dexter but couldn’t place them…they were always there but i usually tuned them out 🤣
90's was best not only in USA but in the whole world. Awww man that was the best decade ever.
Born in 93. 29 years old now and married. The energy in this era was uniquely diffefent 🤍❤️
Yep, I miss 90s Disney especially.
I'm just realizing that the Skip-it toy could change my fitness routine.
Because its currently Minecraft 🤣😂
I'm from 1995, and I remember a lot of these!

I like how Disney opening crawl was just straight up blunt: " kids watch Disney Channel movie, we will watch Disney Channel movies" lol
I miss the 90s
Is that Paul Rudd in the super Nintendo add
5:58 I could binge this thing right now

3:48 omg I have the Zoombini's on steam! i loved this game growing up in middle school
When I see old popular commercials like K'nex, it's weird to see them as an adult because all these little moments of clarity happen. My siblings and I would ask our parents for K'nex but they were among the pricer toys, like Legos kinda. So we weren't Legos/K'nex kind of kids. Our parents would say things like "those are toys for rich people". As a kid, you just take it as the understanding that "we don't have the kind of money it takes to buy this". But you're just a little kid. You don't realize it that you're low key processing it as "these toys are for rich kids, therefore I don't deserve to play with them/I shouldn't play with this because I am not a rich kid".
I understand that our parents didn't intend to cause any damage with those kinds of statements. They just meant that the price is too much for toys. But you really dont catch how far that mentality goes with you until later in life. It's the same with restaurants. "Dad, can we go to Olive Garden?" "That's where rich people eat."
Can we go to the movies? Rich people go to the movies.
As a younger man, I would do that. I would think to myself "Man, I can't eat there. That's where rich people eat". Smh. It's crazy how much power as adults we have over the way that children see and experience the world. I am not a father, and perhaps by this point in life, I will never be. But people really need to put care and consideration into how they talk to their children. People really need to water their flowers with sunlight instead of overcasted clouds.
You sound like you'd be a good dad.
Ledgends of the hidden temple got a reboot as a game show
It actually started off as a game show then was made into a movie and is now a game show
