This is gold. Here in L.A. most of the old skool salseros know the music well and they kill it. The new leads are focused so much more on cranking out as many moves as possible and they forget to communicate the feel to their partner. Females leads do well though with musicality.

Thank you, this is exactly what a beginner leader needs to progress onto a social floor.
I haven’t found another video on this idea so thank you for your originality and being a true instructor.

Hey Michal! I'm trying your ideas with a friend and we're loving this video, thank you so much. There is one part that leaves us struggling. When changing the tempo to the half time feel, it's kinda hard to signal that to the follower, especially when coming straight from a dile que no. Do you have a video on how to tackle that, maybe? Cheers from Holland!

Great video! I was guilty of myself (something's still am) dancing only figures up and down without listening to the song changing its rhythm. Now I'd like to learn some solo moves to be more confident on the dancefloor and to create more dynamic with all the other opinions. Keep up the great work! greetings from Germany

I feel like it should always start with mastery of solo moves. If one is not master of a move for his/her own body, how can we execute the paired version of it with a follow?

Great video. I’m just now seeing it (thanks TH-cam algorithm). I love all the tips! I’ve heard lots of them but it’s so helpful to hear them again and again. It is the hardest thing to add as a dancer imo. I also love the message to the follows about giving grace to leads who are trying to improve. Nothing is more chilling to the development of a lead than a disapproving look from a follow.
