    Too many adults don't know apologetics to even answer kids questions. We're data and bible rich, but we put it all on a shelf and say I'll read that later, so we are helpless in understanding and true faith.

    • @lhart5632
      @lhart5632 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @Moist._Robot So knowing more about truth is proving truth wrong? Apologetics is just knowing your subject, be it the Bible or anything else. I study to know more of God in all aspects of who he is, who I am in the world he created around me, and to him. Have yet to show the Bible wrong in all my studies or in science when you take away the bias against God too often used by those determined to not see God in the world around us. In fact, apologetics has deepened my faith and trust in Jesus and God. You might want to challenge conventional teaching and try it for yourself. God bless. 🙏

    • @lhart5632
      @lhart5632 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @Moist._Robot Yes. But because we are man with the limited understanding of man compared to God, we learn from our exploring of God as revealed in the Bible and man's exploration of God. The problem comes in when we as man deny God without cause. So much of what we are learning about our world and universe now is proving the Bible to be true, but some are stuck in their denials and refuse to look with opened minds. Open your mind, take a chance on God and pray for him to show you the truth. Challenge conventional thinking on both sides. That is true apologetics and leads to understanding the truth of a God that not only exists but loves and is patient with us beyond all reason, if we just look for him. Worth the journey! 🙏

      @@lhart5632 Have secularist scientists ever come up with genuine theories of their own? Or any of the sciences? I asked scientists in the family and they laughed. Maybe one but no more than two. Everything studied today has come from creationists.

    • @lhart5632
      @lhart5632 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@marschlosser4540 Actually they have, and again no need to insult scientists. The problem is that most scientists are taught in secular schools to reject anything connected to Christianity or the Bible because it may show the history as well as stories of mankind told there may prove to be true. Sad situation over the last 50 plus years. But more and more top level scientists are beginning to see that the "evolution" theories cannot answer the questions that science has been confounded with in recent years, and they are turning to the Bible and the God of that Bible to see that the answers there, and that there is a creator not a puddle of slime for creation to have happened. I have respect for scientists in all areas, but they need to drop their walls against Biblical truths and look at the evidence in front of them without bias. Then they are truly scientists. That's what I love about this site and several others who show the Bible is being proven to be true more and more all the time.

    one of the major reasons so many young men turn away from church also is there is a massive lack of masculinity in the churches and young men go looking for challenges and masculine roles models elsewhere. Where are the strong, fit, capable, dangerous, men in the church? why are we so afraid to talk about things like leadsership and competency in husbands and submission in wives? iv'e recently joined a church as a recent convert to christianity, i was playing some recreational sport with them. there was maybe one out of twenty that had the hand eye coordination that i had when i was 5. these were grown men and i felt like i was playing with children under 5. there is too much weakness and effeminacy in the church as a whole. god may be loving and soft, but he is also fearful, dangerous and righteous. and this is what men should be. the apostles may have given up their lives as a demonstration of gods love, but jews and christians have had to defend there borders endlessly with the shedding of blood in combat. today is no different, if men do not begin to sharpen each others edges again, then we are headed for hard times. how can a young man who intuitively looks for competence and strength in his role models follow meek and weak effeminate christian men? christ is coming back as a lion not a lamb, and if christians are going to make it through the years ahead they need to rediscover their masculinity (and femininity) in a big way.
    the fact that this ex atheist gentlemen created the bibles and barbells group shows he also understands this.
    The two most destructive forces in the world today have been the theory of evolution, and the destruction of the family via feminisation of men and masculisation of women. largly from feminism and other sexual revolution liberal groups that piggybacked off of atheism and evolution.

      @markphillips8927 no, I'm not saying it's a bad church or that I've had a bad experience there, just the opposite infact. Dont get me wrong the people their are lovely and ive felt very welcome. In general I think it would be helpful for churches to focus on offering more to young men to develop them into strong and capable men physically, mentally and spiritually. And I think they should stop shying away from the more controversial teachings about biblical roles of men and women, that people in our soft modern time may not like to hear, but need to hear because it is an integral part of fixing the problems we are facing in the west.

      10-4. I do agree with you though that there is an identity problem in the American church as a whole. I'm a Gen xer and I never would have imagined where this country would be today with all the gender confusion and silliness. Mankind as a whole definitely has an identity problem, and it won't be fixed until people know their true identity is found in Christ. Perhaps the divorce rate in the church plays a role if fathers are not in their son's lives daily teaching them how to be strong godly men.
