You all mentioned speaking to college students, and then were talking about Dr. John Morris. I became a Christian right before I started college in 1974, attending a little 'Christian' college in Sitka, Alaska. Origins had barely impinged on my consciousness. Two of our teachers, however, had been thinking about it, and they got Dr. Henry Morris to come up to the college and give a week of nightly seminar sessions. I attended every one of those, and it was like lightbulbs were constantly going on. It greatly helped me, as a new believer, in being able to trust the Bible as a reliable document from "In the beginning God created...." to "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." The two teachers later attended your institute, and now have a Creation Science ministry based in Grand Junction, Colorado. Everyone needs to hear this stuff, but the ministry to college students has a special place in my heart, because I know from experience how valuable that ministry is.

Once you recognize it is the people judging you and not an almighty deity, it is easy to walk away. I have never heard a master of the universe speak to me. Not even at Awanas, or Bible class (I went to a private Christian school for a time) , or during alter calls. It was people making claims about what the Bible means and how a passage MUST be interpreted or you aren't a Christian. Christians LOVE to judge and they do it constantly. Just constant gatekeeping.
I think its funny when Christians then tell me how I didn't really believe, or that I just want to sin. I got into more trouble as a Christian than I have since letting go of that immoral, coercive, and abusive parental figure Christians call god.

I've jus always been the type to question everything and never took anything someone told me for face value when being taught something in school because every couple of years something comes along and changes. In my years I have been a Christian but would give the Bible excuses based on the differences of possible cultural understandings of time and so on . I today believe in the every word of God .
    But I digress
Your conversation w the " unhearing "students .... I believe there is something more nefarious afoot than simple disbelief ( I think you noticed it as well as you described your frustration )
These students have been so completely and competently BRAIN WASHED as they will deny ANY AND ALL information outside of their new found paradigm ... what has been done - how it's been done is a new evil ( nothing new under the sun )
It's as though they have been napped , placed under extreme mind scrubbing tactics under psychological torture that within there own mind they will somehow suffer ULTIMATE DISCIPLINE ( by some unknown force , peers ,) they seem to have been made more AFRAID of
" something " more than being wrong about God their Creator ...
It is insane what they have done to these kids . Old saying
" if your young and not liberal you have no soul ... If you're old and a liberal you have no brain .." something like that ..
So liberalism in youth is not something new ... the depths of their conviction and , honestly , the things they're convinced of are INSANE

I'm curious as to why the Book of Job is placed in front of Genesis as being the oldest Book of the Bible. Doesn't the Scripture refer to "book" in Genesis 5, which would indicate writing, which means Adam could write down the "toledoth" (translated "generations"), which means that Genesis would be the oldest book of the Bible, with Job coming much later after the flood of Noah. There even is the definite article with the word "book." I'd be interested in more information as to why you choose Job as the oldest when the Scripture gives such information in Genesis. Thanks.

Moses wrote down the Genesis account. It could have been an oral history passed down from Adam himself, but Moses is credited with the writing. Job lived before Moses, and his book was written down earlier.
In the New Testament, the Gospels were written down after some of the other books (Galatians and James), but deals with earlier subject matter.

      1. Job lived after the flood and long before Moses (after 2350 BC and before 1750 BC)
      a. Eliphaz refers to the flood as being in the past in Job 22:16
      b. Job sacrifices to God as head of his family (a practice of patriarchal times that stopped with Moses) Job 1:5
      c. Job's daughters received an inheritance along with his sons Job 42:15 a patriarchal practice that also stopped with Moses
      d. Job's wealth is determined by flocks rather than money that is also consistent with patriarchal times Job 1:3, 42:12
      e. The kesitah or piece of money mentioned belongs to patriarchal times
      f. The musical instruments (organ, harp, and timbrel) are the instruments of early Genesis
      g. Job lived long enough to birth two families of ten children and raise them to adulthood then lived another 140 years. He lived at least 200 years and possibly longer. This is consistent with the ages of patriarchs prior to Abraham.

I suppose 'Old Earth' is the third greatest lie foisted on humanity (the greatest being 'Nah, you won't die', the second being the guy who said that doesn't even exist (à la 'The Usual Suspects')). So the biggest battle is over the meaning of the word 'day'. Is there anything that your (plural) research could do to help in persuading people -- us -- that there are/were 24hrs in a biblical day?

    • @bbl5499
      @bbl5499 ปีที่แล้ว

Yah called light day and darkness night. The first day, there was a day first of 12h (from the first day light early morning till before darkness sets) and then a night 12h ( till before sunrise). Let's keep in mind the sun is not the source of light, as it was created in day four, the concept of day and It's two divisions are independant of the sun. 12 hours day and 12 hours night, that's how Yah created right from the beginning.

    • @markhastings9037

There is quite a bit of evidence that a day was 24 hours. The one I like the most is that in Genesis 1, for each day it mentions that there was evening and there was morning, the (first, second, etc.) day. It is like God knew that there would be a controversy so He wanted to make sure we knew it was 24 hours. Also in the Bible whenever the word for day (yom) is used with a number such as first day, second day, etc. that it always means a 24 hour day. My biggest concern about the day-age theory is that we are putting man's interpretation of the scientific facts at the same level of authority as God's Word to us. Since it is our interpretation, we put ourselves at the same level of authority as God Himself. That is a very bad idea!!

While I’m a fan of everything that was said, what Scott said about Jesus dying in our place, that’s incorrect. Jesus did not die in anyone’s place. He sacrificed himself so that he could come back and walk the earth after being resurrected to show everyone that God CAN resurrect anyone at will, and that He also has the absolute intention of doing so. You just have to be worthy of being among them. That’s what Jesus being the firstfruits means, it means he was the first of God’s resurrections from among those who will be resurrected in the future. Jesus even told us how to be chosen; be humble, be compassionate, and you must, above all, believe in the unlimitless power of God. Abomination is in saying God is not real, when He is the one that created everything there is. Believe that and do that and you too can have your life returned, and you will never have to die again! Jesus died for us on that cross, yes, but to show us that message, to prove it could be done. He laid his life on the line and put his money where his mouth is. But he didn’t die in anyone’s place, that’s a misunderstanding of the purpose of his sacrifice. If that’s what people believe then he failed to get through to us.
But don’t get me wrong, I love what you do. Proving the Bible is my passion and understanding what is said is my field of interest, whereas archaeology is in proving the history is accurate. Thank you so much for your work, because as you said, if you can prove that what is in the Bible is accurate by finding the corresponding archeological evidence then it confirms the truth. The dinosaur finds are similarly amazing. When the Bible said, “there were giants in those days and after” I don’t understand why people believe it meant human giants. No-one survived the flood except Noah, his wife and their sons and their wives and no-one else. A couple of giants didn’t hide on the ark and no-one noticed them for the year or so of the flood. However, specimen animals were indeed saved. And large creatures were required in the beginning of our history to keep the world growing freely but free from impenetrable, choking thickets. Large animals kept the way clear, both from their passage and their appetites. When people multiplied on the earth after the flood large creatures eventually thinned out, just as God had planned. Everything He did was with a plan and for a reason. Dinosaurs definitely didn’t die out 65 million years ago, because there are ancient artefacts depicting them, so someone saw them. Ancient man didn’t have tv, or the internet to draw their dinosaur knowledge from, the depictions they made came from observing the creatures in the world. Big thumbs up for the video, thank you so much😊

Religious artifacts uncovered at ancient dig sites prove that humans believed in gods.

Correct. The importance of this find is that the Biblical record is accurate. It doesn’t prove God exists or that Yahweh is the real God, but it does show that the Bible is trustworthy in its historical narrative.

@@alanmuxlow7093 Actually it does prove that God is the one true God. For instance the walls of Jehrico have been found and they show evidence of the walls actually falling down as recounted in the Bible. The capital of the Assyrian Empire lead by King Sennacherib (705-681 BC) has also been found confirming from wall inscriptions that 185,000 of his troops were killed by an angel forcing him to flee his siege of Jerusalem. 2 Kings 19:36. The site of the Tower of Babel is depicted in a stone etching with Nebuchadnezzar in the foreground again confirming the biblical account of that tower being built the historicity of Nebuchadnezzar. All of these confirm the accounts that the one true God intervenes in the affairs of man.

22min how do you get people to recognize anti bible bias? Could you run a debate where each person takes the opposing view and has to argue against their own presuppositions? I have a hard time convincing people, but at least in my own personal study I can find small areas where I convince myself of both opinions, then when I am sure I have no idea what the right answer is, I can finally listen to the evidence. These young people have never gotten to that point of personal study, so need to be given a small experience on a personal level of discovering they can be scientists and execute the scientific method in a double blind way, and apply that to bigger questions as they grow.
I got angry during a college class last year, and had to hold my tongue because the head professor had put evolutionary bias into his text book, so I had to go through a whole process of ensuring I was not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, and process what made me angry by writing draft responses. Writing without sending can be a good exercise to prepare us to respond with patience (and not risk being called out for wanting to deck them).
Wonderful ministry, and I am blessed by these videos while I am in limbo.
