Man these techniques are all very reminiscent of the workflow of the ASR-10 (ye’s main sampler)
Definitely, I don't think people realize how much the machine can push you into a certain workflow/style/technique. Like FL studios piano roll for example pushed people into using triplets. When I used the ASR it made me into a sample heavy producer in a way.
