Wishbone with just another great one! The effort put in for meals is incredible! Definitely using the frisbee plate, great idea! This makes me wanna get out for another kayak camp before end of the year!!!
@@JonHodgson-li3hi I hope to camp out but haven't decided yet, not sure if my wife likes that idea, but at the very least I would stay until around 10pm and come back in the morning at first light to hang out with everyone who stayed, eat breakfast and film some more.
I’m only 2 minutes in and you’re such an awesome guy! You seem pretty chill too lol. Love all the camera angles as well. Very good job. Can wait to see more amazing content
Yep, I saw it and I meant to mention it in the video with a subtitle, but I forgot to put it in, I wonder what it was? Probably just a big old river carp.
@@jasonwish- saw your update video on meet up. I will be there on Friday. Looking forward to meet you. Been running mad river since 1983. Many moons ago. 😂
Jason you are probably the world's foremost expert on paddling the Mad River. Have you ever considered publishing a paddle guide? Maybe maps, put in and take out locations, gps coordinates for campsites, hazards, etc, etc. I bet you could sell that as a download or something like that. Heck, I'd buy that in a heartbeat!
Ha, yeah maybe…that would be really fun to put together and would be a lot of work that’s for sure. I hope to at least make a video about some of these things.
Nice trip, thanks Jason! We were advised not to run Buck Creek in the summer as there is shallow waters. We were also told that there is a a very large homeless encampment that could be an issue. Appreciate your videos and insight.
Jason this looks like a beautiful paddle. I am in KY and this looks a lot like our Buck Creek where I am from. Anyways keep the videos up I always love watching them for inspiration on my channel.
Thank you, it sure was nice. And actually, I just returned last night from another kayaking trip. Hopefully I can get this one edited in two weeks instead of two months ha ha

We've had rain like that all summer. Look at a radar and forecast and you're sure you're about to get drenched for hours. Ends up as a 10 minute light sprinkle.
After asking you some questions a couple months ago about going down the mad river, I ended up camping out right where you saw the snapping turtle by the railroad tracks
Awesome video man . I am glad you didn't get rain on man . My last kayak 🛶 trip we get Heavy rain , Tornado 🌪 hit us , Heavy winds , & the weather man said that it was going to be very very Extremely hot 🥵 95° to 100° Degrees & sunny . He got that part right but not the Severe weather . We had no idea about the Severe storms because we had no cellphone Signal & i had my whole entire family kayaking 🛶 . My in law & friends was trying to call & text us to tell us about the weather & to get off the water . I really like your Crocs man . I find the same pair red & black at the beach in a sz17 & when I went back to get them like 3/4 hours later the store was closed & it was our last night there . I am still trying to find some crocs to wear man while kayaking 🛶 cuz i have to kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are . Yea I didn’t want to interrupt you! Thought you might be filming and didn’t want to prevent you from that. Water is down pretty low it seems. Didn’t have any luck that day
I finally did my first trip on the Mad a couple weeks ago. From 36 to Eagle City rd. Then took the bike path pretty much all the way back to my truck. It was definitely crystal clear. Not as much wildlife as some other rivers but it was nice and deep enough. Ive been section paddling the Sandusky River since its my hometown river. Need some rain to continue on it though.
@jasonwish- good to know. I'll do that section next time I come down. Water is pretty low right now. Yeah I used my E-bike. It sure does make for a nice and easy trip back to the truck. And since a lot of bike trails seem to be along rivers, it works out well. But even on the back roads it's nice. It adds another fun element to the trip. Yak 10 miles, bike 10 miles and then grab a burger and chocolate milkshake. It's about as perfect as a day can get.
@@jasonwish- yeah but not if you like running. Personally I don't enjoy long distance running like you do so that was never really an option for me. Even just a normal mountain bike was fun. I first did the "Kokosing loop" on my old mountain bike.

Good to know you can get an Uber down there. Ive only tried Uber once and that was in Denver. Some places out in the boonies i wonder if i could get an Uber or Lyft. That makes doing an overnight or multiple night trip possible for me since im solo. If you ever need a partner for a trip then hit me up. I would definitely go.
The only place I’ve ever had trouble getting an Uber was out in the boonies in South Carolina on a backpacking trip. Fortunately, I had a Facebook friend that lived in the area.
@georgedouglas9342 yeah I feel ya. I got an E-bike for day trips. I could probably get a two day 30 mile trip in. I just hide the bike where I'm going to end and ride it back to my truck. It's surprising how many bike paths are actually along rivers so most of the ride back you don't have to worry about cars. The Kokosing is a favorite for that.
@@natehoover5266 Good info. There are biking/hiking paths at some places around here. Considering an E bike for just that reason 👍 probably build a mini trailer for the kayak.
