one of 100's, another beach dive off Worth Ave. on the sand bottom between 1st and 2nd 6 of us heading out to the 3rd reef I'm last when I spot eyes looking up. I forgot my pole spear so i grab my leg knife quickly stick the bottom. A huge flounder starts fighting to get away gripping both ends of the knife keeping it on. I catch up to the group to help bag it for dinner. what a rush. LOL
Love this! My dad always told me "When you point you finger at someone? You have 3 fingers pointing back." The 3 hours of filming to 30 seconds of TH-cam content. It's good to see humility! Nicely done young man
This actually made me feel good to watch. Everything else you see on spearfishing online is just solid shots and I've had a few pretty bad shots lately 😂 good to see I'm not the only one
Some of the best content on TH-cam. I’ve never even held a speargun, yet I love these videos. I can’t wait to go spear fishing some day. Thanks dan, you are the mann
Nice one mr Mann some reflections of my own experiences there😂 . Speared a black fish down in the gong yesterday and yelled halibut and every one new what I was talking about and that started everyone off screaming halibut on every fish , funny as. Keep the footage coming legend 😎🇦🇺🐟🧜🏻♀️🧜🏻♀️
I can't understand how you dont have more subscribers! You making really incredible content. I mean... There havent been a single video from you that i didn't like. Please keep it up m8!
🤣🤣Mann I looooove it. Broski you did it again. That's the thing about you bro, it's undiluted fishing, wether it's a win or a loss, you put that content out there and there's always something to learn from. That classic "Halibut" shout🤣, love it bro. As always, Dan you the Mann. Keep it up bro
Brilliant video Daniel! Thanks for taking the time to compile the footage. It's reassuring to know that even the most experienced spearos like yourself occasionally get it wrong. Last year a big kingfish swam right up to me. I took an easy shot and totally missed. It was like the movie matrix in slow motion. Looking forward to your next vid👍
That last one broke my heart :) lol :) I've got "Ya win some, you lose some" engraved on the side of my guns..... cause I've stuffed up some many awesome opportunities through my own pure stupidity :) lol :)
@@DanielMann I hope so, Hopefully boris will finally bring some good news for once haha, I havent dove since september on a trip to gozo, a fix is needed!
Had an experience once where my gun went off without me pulling the trigger straight into a hole in the coral, I was pretty pissed off with the gun till I pulled spear out with a 68cm cod going berserk, unfortunately not on camera
Great video as always. Sorry to hear you cant go diving. Thankfully I'm still able to dive in Norway, so I'm just about to head out and search for flounders in the fjord
Damn , this content grows my confidence 😁👍, seriously as an amateur, the failure makes me lost my confident sometime.... Thx for sharing this video bro
Great vid bro! Unfortunately I can relate to too many of those clips 😁. I appreciate the honesty. Have you ever dived Mozambique? Know you have a place to stay if you ever do.
@@DanielMann Sometimes it is not only about the fish...but about the dive ;) Dive everywhere right? ;) Also, those islands are quite unique, if not for the diving, enjoy it for ao amazing they are!! best, Pedro
Creative use of video in this weird time. Wish zI had something to contribute because the lord knows I miss plenty fish that should be stoned and on the dinner table. I don't film though so... Thanks for keeping us entertained and please keep up the good work!
hi sir, daniel mann, im one of your subscriber of your vlog from phillipines,i relly love to see your spearfishing vedio.i wish to have one of your old speargun as a gift hehehe. i relly want to have that thank you and more power.
Thanks Ryan! Long time fan, I always remember drooling over your captures in IFSN. Particularly that mackerel from the Sunshine Coast and the striped Marlin.
Diving like this is great but the only real problem I have are sharks, I had a bad experience in California and I just can not shake it! I envy people who keep doing what they do even if they had a bad experience as well. Now that amazes me! I get sweaty palmed just thinking about it! Great video, stay safe :-)
First time stumbling across the channel, awesome content mate! Keep it up! :) Just wondering when its not locked down where do you usually go? over here to Aus?
Ahh maan shit happens !!! I had a similar situation with the tuna when i shot an amberjack after fighting for like 45 minutes it turned my shaft into a spring and the stupid barb closed and a good fish gone to waste !! Good things is that we learn from our mistakes and since then i use a two barbed shaft which next has to be directed to a vital shot ! Keep up the good work bro !
I always just breath normally as I’m trying to fall asleep and then one deep one before the dive. Never hyperventilate, that means anything other than normal breathing.
I see your proficiency & your fluency which I get as a native English speaker, then I imagine someone trying to learn English from this video! Hoo boy, they'll never catch on! Very entertaining however. Not a diver myself but you show what life could be like on the " road less travelled"
Interesting and such great technique stunning video makes me wanna go try my own hand at it and do it this way. The vibes, wakes my instinct I wanna go, setup a playlist with Metallica and Delta Parole and go off into my own world soon.
Luckely we are still allowed to go diving in Norway! Me and a mate got a torbot each yesterday. 6kg and 4kg. Very cool video, gonna go and fix my flopper now!!
