THANK YOU !!!!! I got this phone four months ago, a ZTE Blade X. It has eaten up all my data each month by kicking me off my home WiFi, constantly in the middle of any use for anything. My frustration was so great, and my time was spent and wasted looking up myriad other videos on how to fix it ...with zero results, not to mention four calls to my idiotic carrier (Cricket) who should know this stuff, that I almost went into a rage and smashed my phone. FTS..you know what I mean. I am soooooo not a geek...totally technically challenged. Even though I did not have the setting for "improved accuracy" that was in part one, we had a hint to check "device only". It seemed to work. I only came to this video to confirm that checking "device only" was the right thing to do. It has been a half hour. That may seem short, but my WiFi was kicking me off twice a minute, and it has been on steady and strong since doing your fix! Yay! Oh, I also want to thank you for not going so fast that I had to back up the video a dozen times to get the information.

I switched from iPhone to an Android and this problem started since day one of my purchase. I seriously thought it was a hardware issue. After more than a month dealing with this issue I finally fixed it. I was honestly bashing Android for no reason. Thank you for the fix @Let's Fix it!! This video was very informational. Thank you so much this is by far the most simple but effective thing I have learned on all of TH-cam! I had a internet tv box that would keep dropping the wifi even after I improved the signal strength by changing channel settings on the router but after changing location settings to gps only it has not dropped or buffered even once. I had been trying for two days and was considering returning the device or paying more for wifi extender or moving my modem closer to device. This is a true life saver!!!

It just not working no matter what I do 😤err!!! This phone was working just fine a few weeks ago. It is brand new and I had installed all the games and streaming which I download on all extra phones I use only for my boys when they visit. They all were working just fine. I was just installing rings in the back of their phones and this happens. I Factory reset and still nothing!!! Thanks for the GREAT video!!! I think a signal was sent to shut it down after I complained to the company that they sent me the exact cellphone I was complaining about as a replacement🤦♀️!!! That was a few days ago and this happens!!!
It looks like some game or app turns on wifi. Check the permissions
@@EZPCTECH EVERYTHING was erased with the factory reset last Thursday when all this started so there's nothing on it because it won't turn Wi-Fi on so I can't finish setting up the cellphone. I've factory reset it several times now. 🤦🤷
OMG! How many stupid people in the comments for both videos. They have phones with damaged or malfunction WiFi module or android sowtware, and they blame the guy because his video doesn't fix the phone with internal damage! Keep do what you doing and just ignore them.
No locating method setting on my Oppo Reno 4 Lite, how do I set my locating method on device only if I don't have :/
In Samsung Galaxy J7 2015 android 5.1.1 there's no improve accuracy in it either the high accuracy setting :< but then i change its setting into GPS only instead of "Use mobile data or wifi when locating your location" thingy. :

I found the best way sometimes it is temporary but if you're lucky then it will be permently it's simple just "SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It work perfectly try it 👍 I've tried it and it worked great 👍
You cannot believe ,...I have done whatever you said and even done more remedies in advanced option under WiFi icon like I chose never scanning and never being notified ,......I chose device only under location icon but it's still automatically opens and draining my battery a lot ,......what should I do ,....you can't even imagine I did network reset and factory reset too but it's still happening dude ,....what shall I do ? It troublesome because when WiFi open automatically it open any app automatically without my permission ,...it seems like somebody else has controlled over my tab ,.,...what do you think ,...is my tab really hacked?

Bro when I choosed the "device only" and then I turn it off it comes back to "high accuracy" and the problem hasn't fix yet
Try to clean cash partition. Turn off the phone, press "Power button" + "Home" + "Volume up" at the same time and hold. It will turn on with a "recovery boot" line on top. Youll get to the menu in about 15-60 seconds and you can choose there "Wipe cash partition". If it's not going to help, I would try to make a reserve copy and Hard Reset it through the menu I mentioned above. Hope it will help.

Well, it did work. Until the phone was restarted.
These settings turn themselves back on automatically no matter what you do.
Phone refuses to stay connected to wifi or it's mobile data. Constant switching no matter what setting is changed.
Cell phone service providers are criminals and should NEVER be allowed to add ANY software to ANY device no matter what.
They are the source of this problem. Buy a phone directly from a manufacturer and like magic, there is no switching back and forth, UNTIL you have service turned on by a provider.

It's a useless setting to be honest.
But this is the age of social media and sharing with strangers everything you do and everywhere you go.
This location feature is Google's fault.
They need that information for their ad program. It's a way to target people with even more forced advertisements.
Part of this is fact, the rest is my frustration on the matter. lol

man idk, but can you help me, my phone keep on disconnecting to my wifi, probably not turning on by itself, it keeps on disconnecting to our wifi, then when i go to the settings of the wifi which will show other networks, it all disappear, like all the networks would be wiped, and it would refresh then the other networks would show again together with our wifi, this kept repeating on mine

Hii I tried but it didn't work first of all I use YU yureka cellphone and it was fallen on edge where it has camera and when I saw YU yureka board it has WiFi chip just next to camera so after my cell fell both camera and WiFi is not working even after software update its same issue can you plz tell me what would be problem ???
At first of all, I'm sorry to hear that you damaged your phone. You know the answer to your question, and I don't want to deliver a bad news. What I would do in your place, I would open it up(If you sure that you comfortable with that and understanding the risks) and look at the logic board. If you see any gap between board and wifi modudissconnection, cracks, or any other damage, it's might be a reason. Also, it possible to fix the camera at the same time, if you'll be lucky. However, I would recommend you to bring it to professional because it's shouldn't cost too much to fix it.
