I know he says it sometimes, but it’s cool to see it broken down like this. I also wonder how much time it takes to move the camera(s) around. I’m sure it’s longer than it seems.
I'm not gonna lie, looking at these rugs, my first instinct is to fling them into the dustbin. 'Caked in mud', 'irretrievable' is all I've got. Then I see the results... so satisfying. Still, you have the patience of Job.

I started detailing last year and it helps to have something playing in your ears. One it helps with the amount of noise in some small spaces (vacuum and extractors are louder than expected) and it also helps distract from the time it takes
Always fascinating to see the color of the gunk that the drill brush brings out (and similarly, the extractors). And this is super relaxing at that. Very nice.
Hey @TheDetailGeek, I'm trying to start my own detailing business. What would you recommend to start out? I'm thinking of making it mobile as I don't have a house with a fancy garage or the money to buy a shop.
I remember you answered this question in a previous video but cant remember which and don't think its in any of the Q&As, but how/how long does it take to dry out wet floor mats and seats? I did a similar method, actually used less water since i didnt power wash just drill brush with cleaner & extract. They were still wet to the touch afterwards and even after an hour or so of air drying with a fan they were still wet and actually made the car smell musty the next day!
That was so so so satisfying. I think I really need to get out more. Pandemic be damned. I was moving my head from side to side like a cat watching a tennis match!
Have you thought of placing the carpet floor mats on a steel grate, like you’d have for doormats, to raise it off the garage floor, might make cleaning these types of mat a bit more efficient - the mats wouldn’t be lying in the muddy water...just a thought
Do the floormats reabsord the dirty water? Maybe it helps if you put them on a raster or something like that so the dirty water can go away immediatly. Maybe that helps fasten the proces. (Sorry for my bad English). I love your videos!!!
Finally got all my equipment, ready to Geek out on some cars.... LMAO.!!! Boy was buying it all at once expensive.... "Detail Steve" at your service, I hope all those years buffing cars at a body shop come in handy.... LOL

Yeah I decided to clean mine a week ago expecting it to take 20min max but I was cleaning for an hour a a half.
This is the reason detailing takes so long. They really pay attention to all the DETAILS rather than just going to the car wash.
I need someone to explain this to my mom of all people 🤣 every time I do her van she goes on about how much time I end up spending on it. 🙃

You sir are the reason i wash my car about 4 times a week now. All other cars in my lot are covered in snow and dirt and mine is always clean 👍🏼
