I love fur in fashion (especially for it's environmental benefits and quality), and I used to LOVE fendi furs but sadly I feel like recently their first are boring, unwearable, and irrelevant. Almost like they're purposely making them flops so they can explain dropping them
I think honestly theyre just trying to keep them under the radar 🤷
@@understitchYT I think that's likely too! It's just sad to see a brand that embraced bold furs churning out boring pieces. I think it's just a symptom of the greater issues with the brands identity at the moment
Excellent video. Don't know how it was recommended to me but I've now watched 8 of your videos and subscribed to your channel.
I enjoy fashion but knew nothing a out the history, so thanks for the education. I always associated Karl with Chanel and didn't know that he designed for any other house. Wasn't that considered unethical? (working for the competition), was there ever any overlap in designs? @understitchYT
Thank you so much!! Im so glad you enjoyed my content enough to binge!! It wasnt considered unethical because he was literally the first. Noone had ever revived a house in the way he did and he was known to be a very talented designer for years before this, so his ability to reinterpret codes of the house was already a known talent of his, that was prized in designers at thw time, so his abolity to do it for several added to his reputation, not took away from it as it may do now with CDs that are supposed to bring their own image to a brand (which is more the trend now)
Karl also designed for Jean Patou and Chloe.
