10:21 LOOK! People acknowledging Air Neo's existence! Surprised it didn't get a mention of its "never reprinted" status as a piece of trivia and collectors
I’ve been rewatching the 2005 and 2006 and I can just feel my years of memories flushing back, all the excitement of opening new packs. So glad you made a new video! Thank you!
I remember Perfect Circle Monarchs. Still my favorite deck of all time. Followed closely by Glad Beasts. I actually played against Fili at SJC Detroit. He's a helluva player (beat me 2-0) but an even better person. In my opinion, he is the yugioh GOAT. Surprised Big City HERO wasn't brought up. It was around the fringes of top 8 [getting a few top 16s and bubbles] and was a different take on the deck, using Skyscraper. I remember Jeff Jones playing it [don't remember which event sadly].
I didn't go in depth on it as it at most had 1 top in a couple of tournaments, but it is included in the pie charts (under the name Ocean Control, which is the name given by most records)
I always wondered why Necroface was in the WC08 videogame, I thought it was phantom darkness. didn't realize it was Gladiator's Assault. This is why i love this series, you learn new things every time.
You really got me in the feels with "gemini" at the end.... Dm, Gx and 5ds holds a special place in my heart due to the anime and card game and gemini was the first time anyone dedicated a song to me.... My first formal girlfriend at the age of 18; Cynthia...
Another great video! One note about the Shounen Jump street date thing, though - it's actually pretty common practice for magazines to number their issues around a month to a month and a half past its actual release date - the date is more used to inform bookstore/magazine vendors when an issue is past its 'expiry date' so to speak. Stratos came out more or less when it was meant to, at most a couple of weeks in advance... though I imagine two months later wouldn't have lessened its impact much either!
Wow, Machine re volt was the first structure deck I bought. Still have the cards and it’s inspired my current earth machine deck (Ancient Gear w/ machina package) for my local heart of underdog format.
Oh god the tail end of GX sets made my collecting every core set secret rare INCREDIBLY difficult. Jinzo and DMG were easier to get than a couple of those damn Fairies out of STON -.-
I love these videos. They are like a drug lol I am addicted to watching these chilling back with a snack. Please keep it up. I watch and rewatch these multiple times just to give you views and hopefully that can help you continue.
Still better then people like The Duel Logs who can't pronounce cards at all and I hate that his comments defend his mis-pronunciations cause "comment engagement" which has been disproven multiple times. Yes I am a pronunciation Nazi fight me.
Back when there was true aggro, control, midrange split. I really wish that would have remained with the transition to archetypes. I love archetypes and konami should make deck type specific archetypes that do not mix.
Please don’t stop making these, I absolutely love them
Same here bro i need mooore
same it's my smoke up content
Fr I wanna see all the way to 23
I like how they limited mind crush but kept dustshoot at 3 lol
Yes n it sucks now cuz ppl can just lie it's corny@@LyubovBoychuk
07-10 yugioh was absolute peak. meta enough to be interested in nuance strategys but not enough where it baffles most

Videogames use OCG cards, and Necroface was released back in 2006 (in The Valuable Book 9 promotional cards).
@@0000Mattheus0000 well shit
Gorz was also a promotional card in 2006. It's why many video games have Gorz limited in 2007 and on until 2013
Well every card usually comes out a year or 2 early in the games before the card game
Nostalgia is a drug. I love these recaps. Hope to see the 2008 later this year!
This series is gold, my guy, keep them up!

Man, seeing those card pack pics from way back when. Got so many packs from back then.
I’d like to mention test tiger was released a year later in the OCG, it was not an import. Rather it was a tcg exclusive like grandmaster.

You're so good at making these types of videos.
The best recap series! So in-detail!
I look forward so much to these videos. Awesome stuff and thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Can’t wait for 2008. The Dark Armed Dragon era!
I would actually play Master Duel if they had a side mode where you can only play with cards from certain eras. Pre 25 special summons in one turn.

Still better then people like The Duel Logs who can't pronounce cards at all and I hate that his comments defend his mis-pronunciations cause "comment engagement" which has been disproven multiple times.

Yo new college lecture dropped
I hope to see an Edison video like this
Got to appreciate the Lol soundtrack.
That "lets break a Structure Deck and release it expensively" practice is so shitty...
Music?
You skipped Dark bribe
Drinking game
Every time monarchs are mention tale a shot

Air neos
I miss when yugioh was more simpler. Nowadays cards are just way too broken and complicated
