    Keep your 1322. Crosman may sell new ones but you can't buy a rear cocker anymore. For less than $30 get a new valve and pump seal from Alliance Hobby. You will continue to enjoy a pistol that has been with you since the beginning.

    Hi from UK.
    I started as a boy with an already old Lincoln Jeffries, model H I believe. It had no trigger guard, but no worries!
    I have several now, oldies, a copy of a Diana 27, Haenel 302 and 45, Original 50, TELL, and some later, but majority spring. Love them. Great channel.
    Cheers, Martin. 👍

    the 1322 you forst took apart did you notice its a detuned gun ? either for canada or europe or uk.. when you opened the brass valve you see the spring the smal lwhite pice and the other bit plus then the seal that is the part that the hammer hits... notice this part has the cut away for the air to escape up intothe barrel, but also notice the rod is squared !!! this being square loses so much air its incredible.. i have exactly this gune now, but my very first 1322 medalist was not squareed off on the rod/pin and the power diference is incredible.. i need to get a new one of those and i will be buying one for the newer 1322 from usa as that is nice and round, but then needs to have the slight cut away t ogive back the power.. we are then talking about another 4ft pounds of energy when pumped up to 10 pumps and over 12 ft pounds when given 20 pumps..... the older 1977 model is what my first one was, but it had a different plunger too, that was adjustable and made of metal... when i bought the one i have now i had no idea how much they had changed the medalist, it should of been called medalist 2, then the later one a medalist 3.....i think my original one also had the metal top breech piece and bolt action.. definitely did not have to pull back the rear chunk to cock it as i had a slip on skeleton stock and never had to take that off.

    I wore out my Crosman 760 in the early ‘60s, got a Mk1 CO2 pistol in the mid ‘60s and still shoot it today . The pump guns, that’s not enough sugar for my penny.

    I sold my airguns and airsoft guns during a really rough period in life then I bought a 1322 and I fell in love with it today it is still my favorite airgun.

    1322 is an amazing air gun. I love that you can sometimes see the pill fly then “smack” right on target. I modded mine out of course for true plinking fun

    I shot out the first one I bought in ‘86. Wore it right out, still have the replacement, a little later , not quite as well made as the first one.
    Addendum: it was an accurate pistol.

    love that airgun, the one i had back in the day came with the steel bolt but not a hammer and the shorter grip showing the metal.
    those seals, try washing it in alcohol or baristol and then relubing it,
    if that does not work , the part is stillavailable from crossman for the newer models .
    but you will end up spending as much as a new one costs a.
    suggest the 1322xl that comes stock with steel breach and rear sight.
    if you want such an airgun.
    personally , i am moving on to higher energy airguns.
    yes i did at one time make 200 feet accuracy with that pistol, but the energy is not what i would call usable for more than a squirrel. with a great headshot.
    i like the old ones that can be pumped more than 10 times, that one i had stopped filling the plenum at pump 26, haha but i would pump it to 35 pumps and shoot and have a second shot already in there when i cocked it;'s bolt.
    enjoy your hobby regardless.

    The exaust valve for Canadian Crosman air pistols have an extra hole on the transfer port side that diverts some of the air away from the barrel, effectively de-tuning the guns to Canadian standards.

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That would explain a lot. Although I don't see how a 1322 could exceed the Canadian stipulation for under 500 fps. For many years you didn't see the 1377 for sale in Canada, because they likely could exceed the limit. And today, they're back - and likely with that extra bleed hole.

    You can’t get loads of power out of them, there is only so much you can get from a small cylinder. You mention crunchy spring on the trigger mechanism, I read many years ago that folk smoothed that out by placing a spent .22 rim fire cartridge shell over the top of the spring so that the smooth end of the rim fire shell is pressing on the lever. I have done that on my 1377. I acquired an old co2 ratcatcher so I have remover the shoulder stock, barrel and breech and fitted them to my 1377. It is now a .22 calibre gun. It is only used at 10yards and 20yards in my garden range. It is quite accurate and I only use 4 pumps, erm no need pump it up to the 10 pumps. I think the good accuracy is due to the old Weaver c4w scope and correct breathing cycle which I learned as a youngster in the 1950’s when I was a junior member of a shooting club where we used .22 rim fire martini action rifles. The sights on the those guns was front and rear aperture sights. Anyways I liked your video.

    Nice job on your video. Longer barrel will allow you to pump up more pumps for higher velocities and much higher pumping numbers. Pump for pump tho, up through 6 or 8l pumps longer barrel will drag on the pellet slowing it down. But longer barrel will keep velocity going with higher pumping numbers which are wasted on the short barrel. Again, nice job.

    That's a very nice gun, for $250, but $400, is just not in my budget. Got a standard 362 on the way from Crosman though.

    Try putting some pellgun oil on the air seals to maybe bring back the
    air max power.

    The back packer did better because it has a longer barrel…..I pump mine up to 15 pumps and get good power out of them…..with mods you can get the upper 400s out of it without a problem.

    Seems like low velocity, I assume you used Pellgun oil on the pump cup. I remember hearing that Crosman also had “de-tuned” guns for the Canadian market, not sure what part they modified.

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  ปีที่แล้ว

      I too suspected a de-tuned model, except that they're really well below the Canadian limit anyway. They could be 100fps faster and still okay. And the instruction manual lists expected velocities, and my testing is pretty much along those lines. Conclusion: they just aren't as potent as I used to think. There's effort in pumping them up, and there's a loud muzzle blast ... so they seem powerful. In reality my Webley Hurricane quietly does the same job with one cocking motion. But I agree that Crosman and others have to be careful with pistols that go over the 500fps Canadian limit (like a 1377 might be able to do)- not only would you need a firearms license to get and keep one, but you would need a restricted license, because the darn things would be equated with a powder burning pistol. The only air pistol I've seen on the Canadian market that went over the 500 is a Walther match pistol - and that would be a conundrum because the shooting range would have to be certified for restricted weapons. Sheesh!

      Canadian Crosman air pistols have an air diversion hole on the rear of the exhaust valve.

    Что-то "Кроссман" совершенно не впечатлил 🤔 я думал за такие деньги, такая здоровенная пушка, что-то из себя представляет, а по результатам оказалось, что так себе стреляло... Довольно интересно растёт скорость выстрела, по официальным данным: 3 качка - 66 м/с (1,8 Дж), 6 качков - 96 м/с (на 30 м/с > и 3,7 Дж) и 10 качков - только 113 м/с (5,1 Дж), очень нелинейная зависимость. Даже учитывая что Ваши умелые руки смогли довести мощность до 6,9 Дж на максимуме, результаты очень скромненькие для такого здоровенного ствола

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would certainly boost the velocity. The plastic/alloy pellets I've tried don't shoot straight. And the tin alloy pellets are, well ... a bit expensive for my taste - especially in .22
