You can tell the excitement in your voice that you and Sierra have a well and running water. No more melting snow at the homestead. Big congratulations to both of you.👍
Having done electrical work for over 40 years, the one thing that stood out is you need a heavier gauge extension cord to run from the gen to the pump plug. That one looks like 16 or 14-gauge. I'd go with a 12-gauge cord. Then you won't risk burning out your pump! and you probably won't have the pulsating in the Champion Gen, or set the cord on fire. And the male plug on the pump is the cheapest thing sold everywhere! Wire the end into a raintight box when you get a chance!
You need a well house to prevent damage from bears, moose, deer etc, and to keep it snow free. I would also just bury PVC pipe to the house tank and the coop tank and install a simple manifold with valves in the pump house, so you don't have to drag hoses around
Although with burying a pipe, he then has to worry about it freezing. Which he doesn't want to do. It's a nice convenience, but does add some potential issues. Imo, he just should have a hoses set up to the house and coop that he can drain and store during the winter.
I randomly came across your videos and the first one I saw was from months ago and I thought why not have a well drilled. I grew up in a rural area in WV and when we got a well drilled it was great.
Already been talked about I see… get a heavy gauge extension cord. My father burned up a table saw with a weak cord. No sense in paying for a another new pump. I enjoy your content! 🇺🇸🏁🤘🏻
Congrats brother that is awesome. I live in Valdez, Alaska and the quality of water here is as close to I’ve tasted to well water…again that’s awesome for y’all.
The last house we lived in had well water. We drank that for 25 years. I miss it. We live in a small town now and the pump so many chemicals into the water I can smell it when I walk into the house. 6 years and it still stinks. All the water we cook with or drink goes thru a Britta filter.
78 feet is a deep well it should last a good long time. You should never run out of water. You can get home kits to test well water too. First Alert, the same company that makes the smoke detectors makes them,, among others. Also, It should be possible to add a automatic switch that measures load ( amps) to the power supply of the pump so that if you ever forget to shut the pump off before you shut the valve it will shut itself down. Just to be safe. (P.S. The well water here in the agriculture area of the country is all poluted.)
Please put a split adapter for different hoses. Use the green one for watering and buy an RV grade water hose for drinking. The green ones aren't to be used for drinking.
we live in a city, in the suburbs, in new zealand. We dont buy fancy drinking water we just drink straight from the tap. Our water is artesian and its great.
Nicely done! Land is valuable, but land with an established well is vastly more valuable. This is an Investment that greatly increases land value, while making life so much better! Great decision, love the channel!
It was easy to see how excited you are and it is something that's very easy to take for granted when you're hooked into a city water but when you don't you learn to appreciate running water very fast.
Also hard on the generator, and like the other commenter said , you have to have a good heavy extension cord , so you don’t have too much voltage drop , and yes the cord will heat up if it’s not heavy enough gauge
Definitely build some type of shelter around it. Standing in the rain while waiting for a 5 gallon container to fill ain't fun. Or, a hot, bright sunny day, the shade will be nice. As much for your comfort as for protecting the well
Yayy! Happy for ya'll 🎉 something that most people would take for granted and you guys are fully appreciative of it. Really puts things into perspective. Makes me thankful for my running water😅

Kyle is an electrician by trade!
The cord is to small.
@@Lizzard-qm9jn you watch too much TV!
Plus that champion is a modified sine wave vs the predator is an inverter style so the sine wave will be better and will help the pump run better.
Agreed
Woohoo, water!😊
Nothing like h2o on site it’s gold
Now that’s a game changer
AWESOME 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
May the lord bless and protect you

So glad you have fresh water now. Just a thought, your hose should be drinking water safe, lots of unhealthy chemicals in regular garden hose. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Congratulations 🎇
Be sure to use a non-toxic hose for drinking water.

My favorite channel. Living man, you earn it
Pretty cool

Hey there. You can buy 12v water pumps. Not sure the durability but they’re meant for off grid living.
Here in SE Arizona wells start at about $20,000. So rainwater harvesting is definitely the most economical way to get water here.
You can tell that you are excited about the new well and i think that is fantastic! Congratulations

If you build a shed, you could put solar panels on the roof.
You should have a 55 gallon drum in your attic and plumb that in your house and only have to refill it once a week
The cats whiskers!!
Nice
