Picked up darts this week after always having fun on the electronic boards every once in a while when I stop at bars for special occasions. Found your channel, gotta say you are insanely accurate at darts lol. You’ve taught me SO MUCH just in a week though. What helped the most: turn your body more and don’t face forward, try to focus and hit your own dart, practice that “around the world” game going 1-20 in a row, and following through instead of “jerking” your throw.
Ok so picked up darts about 6 months ago - its insanely addictive! I am trying to build on my average which can be between 39 on a bad day and 51 on a good day so I really need to work on my consistency - this video in particular will be useful to me. I used to play pool at a decent level and every shot from chalking the queue to potting the ball had to be identical for each shot to get that consistency. I need to find my consistency in Darts! Thanks for this!
First 3 arrows, nails a 180 lol! Love it. Been playing for over a year after reigniting my interest in it and am yet to hit 180!! These videos are awesome man, good tips, good instruction and all round intuitive and helpful. Cheers buddy.
Hey that is great advice, 👍 I have recently got my own board played in pubs and a bit at my last job but very much an amateur! I have been really struggling with the doubles and I know its one of the most important ways to win so I keep trying but I stick myself on a number and keep playing it until I hit it doing this round the world on doubles, I have been using 6 darts 3 are cheaper out of a set from amazon and a set of 3 I bought over ten years ago and barely used but where good quality back then so they are my preferred darts so I'm doing the same throwing 6 it makes sense, I love the advice though that if you miss you miss move on after 3 darts it's good advice stops you dwelling on the last 3 throws so I will use that in my practice from now on instead of throwing 9 or 12 darts just to hit the double, to be honest as long as I'm in the ball park I'm usually happy if I'm all over the board then it can be frustrating! Keep up the good videos my freind and appreciate the knowledge you are passing on to us new guys!
Nice 180 there! My introduction to darts was the game of Cricket, so it’s tough to get motivated about legs day (doubles practice). That double 20 is a funny number, because of the stress involved when you actually find it as your target, and yet the double one is right next to it, which is where we find ourselves aiming more often than we’d like to admit.
@@IronmanDarts I sure do. Soft tip is way more convenient for online play, and I love all the bells, whistles, and flashing lights that come with it so I’ll still play it, but it feels “clunky” compared to steel tip. Once I got a steel tip board and darts I was like ahhhhh I get it now.
Great tip! I’ve been playing Dartbot all day and I can’t win a match due to my sloppiness on the doubles. I can match it closely on score but a few misses on the double and I’ll get punished swiftly - this should help!
Great video/tips! I recently injured my throwing arm(righty), any tips on using your opposite arm? I've tried different holds and stances, but nothing is consistent.
Time and practice is all you can do for switching arms. Look up Straight to the Point TH-cam channel. He's a darts coach and swapped his arms due to injury so has some tips and advice.
A result of lifelong fitness and activity. When others were out drinking, going to parties, sleeping in, eating garbage, watching t.v., being lazy, I was exercising, working or playing sports. Just like the Energizer bunny, I keep going, and going, and going... :-)
I can’t believe I’m reading this… Anyone in the world can play darts… I’m a brazilian living in Italy and started to practice 3 months ago… I have so much fun, I wish I had met darts sonner (I lived in the UK previously where darts were more popular but had never played before). Thanks for the lesson!!

I'm a lefty so when you talk about double 9, it's actually double 4 for me etc. Great video, I'll practice this tomorrow.
You crushed it in this vid! Opened with a 180 and hitting great doubles. 🔥
Danke für's Video und die Arbeit dafür.
Grüße an alle! 😄

Do you prefer Steel Tip over Soft Tip?

Yes, spend more time JUST practicing doubles.

I don't have any tips for switching your throwing hand. That's super hard.

Will practicing at steeltip board will it improve your game on softtip. I play nothing but softtip darts
100%
Great Video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Genuine question, why is the tv under your dart boards?
Mirrors the phone app
You say links to your supplies in the description but don’t see them. What soft tip boards is that?
