- In this episode, we diagnose a bad starter solenoid on the 2005 Nissan Titan and then go through the headache of removing the intake to access and replace it. Great results that will hopefully help if you're considering the same repair for your truck! Thanks for watching and please smash the LIKE button and SUBSCRIBE! Special thanks to Power Probe who "Hooked" us up with their best tool that made this an easy 1-person diagnosis!

I cant express my gratitude enough, but thank you, this video was exactly what I have been looking for since I bought my truck last spring. I have done literally everything else, so I was quite confident it was the starter, however your video sealed the deal and gave great info to boot. Your the man!
Great video 📹!
Thanks
What size bolt for the starter
Thanks for sharing. Please post a link for the tool that you are using to test the starter.
Here’s one option, but you should shop around. www.toolsource.com/circuit-testers-c-1321_408_590/the-hook-ultimate-circuit-tester-p-143292.html
Hey boss, im having a hard time narrowing down all the gaskets that you replaced, any chance you could share a link or give my head a shake ?
Just added to the remarks section below the video!
Just replaced it with new reman what ever that means and still just clicks once every time when I turn the ignition any help please and thank you
I think I went with brand new for that very reason. It would be different if the starter wasn’t so buried and hard to get to, but with this one, I didn’t want to take any chances. Hopefully you found it with an ops check before you put the intake back on. My main two pieces of advice would be to go exchange it for another one…possibly brand new, and check all your electrical connections and engine/chassis grounds and make sure your battery terminals are tight and corrosion free.
For the intake it’s actually only 7 pounds and the starter is 75 pounds and the best way to do it is from the middle and working your way out. That way it is evenly distributed and the gaskets are well seated.
What brand starter? Has it held up?
Believe it was Duralast Gold. Holding up great!
Do you find the armada as being reliable? The reviews are very misleading
🤷🏼♂️ I have a Titan and it’s always been great.
Don't go economy, go NAPA
