We’ve been using the Delta Gold for the past year, but recently, we got a Delta Platinum and a Reserve while getting an impressive 190,000 miles for both cards and achieving silver status. Your video was super helpful. We were thinking of getting rid of the Gold before it renews since it overlaps with the Platinum. Can you think of any reason why keeping the Gold with the Platinum and the Reserve is a good idea, especially considering the Gold’s $150 annual fee? Thx!
Thanks for watching the video! I would personally just stick with the Platinum and Reserve card, assuming you are making good use of the benefits on offer. Whilst the Gold card is a good card, Im not sure that having 3 cards makes sense. Just note that if you do get rid of the Gold card you may see a dip in your credit score.
I'm not sure, I assume if they were in the same name and attached to the same account they may do. It would be worth contacting Delta directly to find out for sure.
If you have both the reserve and platinum then yes you get 2500 MQD boost for each card. You can get gold status automatically if you have all the business and personal platinum and reserve. You can also use the plat on each side to get auto silver for a bit cheaper.
I have the blue as I relocated to an AA hub so I no longer fly delta so I downgraded from Gold. If I relocate back to a Delta hub city I will upgrade the card again.

If there is no annual fee at all I would get the card, Either way, if you did get the Platinum card as well it will provide you with a companion certificate, and better miles earning potential.

Hi, Thanks for your question! To access the Delta SkyClub you must be traveling on a same day Delta marked flight and you must be traveling on a fare that is above a Basic Economy fare. Also, it allows for you to bring 2 guest along, but that will cost an additional $50 per guest. Thankfully they also provide you with 4 complimentary one time guest passes to the Delta SkyClub. As for getting upgraded with a companion, as long as they are on the same reservation as you AND are either a SkyMiles Member, Medallion Member, or partner airline elite member, you will both be eligible for an upgrade.

For example I travel to Europe a lot and notice that Delta does not have any lounges in Paris or Amsterdam, yet they are Skyteam partners. My question is whether any of the cards gives you certain access to the KLM or AirFrance lounge?

Yes you have access to sky team (patrolling the sky's for your safety btw) lounges as long as you're flying business or 1st, or if you have the bad boy business card you get access no matter what
