Great video, but the impellor doesn't come out very easily once it's been used for a while. Using a screwdriver end has been recommended but the impellor is very brittle and it's difficult to use enough force without damaging the impellor end.
Hi I took my reefwave apart. Cleaned it then put it back together but it won't push water. Then I noticed two small black washers in the water I cleaned it in. I have no clue where they came from or where they go.
Great pumps, I recently cleaned mine but could not get the motor out but seeing how you push it onto a surface and then use a flat head screwdriver has solved my problem for next time.
I tried as well, but the the green side bottoms out when you push like the video shows. I feel like I’m going to break the shaft if I use the screwdriver.
@@Redseafish yeah had nothing but bother with them not taking programmes bearings burning out the fact the cage ends end up loose in the carrier and move about best thing about them is the app which is really good and the back up I did have with the problems 👍
Great video, thanks Li, very helpful!
Thanks. He is awesome.

This is an older video, much older than the Reef Dose.

Awesome video thank you!
Glad you liked it!
What did he use to clean? Could not understand?
You can use citric acid to clean your pumps.

@@CLOWNFISH69 that's the worry breaking it, still not been able to get the motors out on mine.
Can’t get red side to pop out
Shaft goes flat on green side against collar and doesn’t push red side out
It litrly brok my white impaler.. great guid but it doesn't pop out. 270£ down the fuc. Drain. Great.
Why dislike. Show how to clean. Thanks
very good !!!
Unfortunately the impellor shaft is as good as impossible to remove.
It can happen when you have too much buildup. Try soaking the motor in citric acid for 30min prior to trying.
@@Redseafishalready did this many times - it won’t budge
Kind of a design flaw guys
on that way you can easily brake the impeller..
You do need to be careful doing it.
Poor bristle star fish :(((
j'ai cassé l'axe en céramique en voulant la démonté ... je suis dégouté ...
Worst pumps I’ve ever owned very poor build quality
We're sorry that's how you feel. Many thousand of hobbyists absolutely love them. Thanks for your input.
