I really enjoy how enthusiastic Paul is. Even when I got a bit bored with my reef tank I watched Paul and somehow he shares this energy from screen and makes you want to go and play with the aquarium, test these new gadgets :) Id love to see longer, in depth demonstrations made by Aviad and Paul together, something BRS style :)
Awesome Red Sea! Exactly what I was looking for! Notes to make it perfect: Make it optional to be compatible with Neptune Apex controllers. And the big one, battery back up!!!! That's how you're going to win over the Ecotech band wagon. Great job!
i had the gyre and not only was it loud out of the box but it got louder over the year i owned it. you could heat it 5 ft away from the tank. eventually stopped working. that along with the lengthy maintenance process, i went back to my tried and true ecotech mp-40s
I am a student so more budget reef keeper with my reefer 170. But i hope i can afort it because i can imagine the reef wave is better then a current pump the coral polyps are always directed in one direction😔
I checked with local LFS when this would be available and they called Red Sea to check. It is the end of January now, but no guidance could be given. Would like the RW45 for my RSR 350. Anyone any idea when i can buy one in the UK?
Can you connect them to Apex? I use my Apex for feed mode. If not, what would happen if I use my Apex to turn off the outlets that the pumps are plugged into? If I do that, will they resume functionality as normal when the pumps turn back on? Will I get a lost connection email every time my APEX turns them off for feeding? Cheers.
The pumps have a feed mode and you can get an advanced feed mode programming it in the ReefBeat app so you don't need to turn off the power. All our smart connected devices are controlled by ReefBeat. Any 3 party solutions and questions regarding how they fit our devices should be taken to the 3rd party you're interested in.
Re Maintenance of a Wave 25 3 months in - Is there a special trick to removing the motor as I just cant get it to move to clean it ? I have pushed as forceful as I feel comfortable from the green side as indicated in this video
remove the shaft clip on the green side and push the shaft inward. The red side's motor lid will pop out. Check out the manual for detailed diagram: www.redseafish.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/7129_ReefWave-Manual_EN_-v19A-_for-web.pdf
Amazing these are, just one question though, how far believe the water line should they be placed? For example how far is it in this video where you have them running?
Our smart pumps, LED, and the rest of the "connected" smart devices are run by our ReefBeat app. Questions regarding 3rd party OS should be referred to them.
I would really lobe to find out how silent they are, but they are still not shipping to Germany. It seems every month (since Nov 2019) the release date is pushed back another month ... any update when they REALLY ship?
Not sure what you're basing that statement on, but let's focus on what we did. All the design is made by us, we are only using the motor part. We've been developing these pumps for over 2 years and are using them in all our tanks. All these tanks undergo regular ICP analysis (part of our supplements R&D), we would have picked up on any trace of heavy metals if they would have been present. We have full confidence in the product.
@@Redseafish hahaha probably, it look really good. Can you do another video of it being removed from the tank to be cleaned. Originally I was going for the vortec mp40 as you can remove the internal section. If this is easy to remove and clean, there's no doubt which one I'll be getting
Wait and hear you mean ;) They're based on the motor unit of the Gyre, BUT with quite a few enhancement both in the design and obviously the ReefBeat App.
The ReefWave will probably be released next week. *It was proven to be ineffective in fighting the Corona Virus, but at least we tried ;) We are now testing Reef Energy Plus against it. lol

Interesting, reason why I didn't go with gyre from maxspect was because of the sound, so if you come out with a silence mode that a big deal.
Our ears are sensitive, what can we say :).
Wait and hear (or don't hear) them for yourself.

@@dontbestupid6664 I have both pumps the 300 is really quiet. At least the xf330.
Any plans to backup redsea pumps with battery backups as an additional option?
We hear you. Noted and will be discussed.
@@Redseafish Any news regarding this possible option?
So a maxspect gyre pump?
Paul, perhaps you can do the same for each peripheral of RSR products, skimmers, dosers, ReefMat and you name it
Maybe ;)
beautiful to see redsea investing in first class peripherals !!! congratulations!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you
What better for sps random or what

I wonder if the Star washer is as much of a nightmare to remove on those as it is the xf200 series pumps
The ReefWave is a different design and is easy for maintenance.

Will one 25 work for a 48x15x18 tank with in tank sump?
Excellent video!
Thank you
Will there be cover guards to prevent snails from getting in ?
Yes, a fine mesh to cover the grills.
Amazing these are, just one question though, how far believe the water line should they be placed? For example how far is it in this video where you have them running?
You can place them pretty close, aiming them to not splash or suck air. they are about 8-10cm under the water line.
Will these be compatable with Neptune Apex?
Our smart pumps, LED, and the rest of the "connected" smart devices are run by our ReefBeat app. Questions regarding 3rd party OS should be referred to them.
When will they be available in Iowa? LFS says they're not yet...
what size for an XL 525
How much do one of these cost
We don't sell direct. Please reach out to your local Red Sea dealer for pricing.
Can fish feeding schedules be added ?
Yes. ;)
_Excelente equipo y buen vídeo, bien realizado, saludos!_
Thank you
I'm planning on getting a Reefer 350 but in undecided about getting two ReefWave 25 or one ReefWave 45. Any suggestions?
Hi Ton. Check out our guide here: www.redseafish.com/hardware/reefwave/
Are these available now? I cannot find them anywhere. I just got my MAX E 170 setup and I really want to stick with Red Sea for as much as possible!
Yes. In most markets they are. Contact your local RS dealer.
I would really lobe to find out how silent they are, but they are still not shipping to Germany. It seems every month (since Nov 2019) the release date is pushed back another month ... any update when they REALLY ship?
Could you please state the minimum flow for each of the two models, I only see the maximum
Hi it's 10% of the maximum flow. They go up\down by 10% increments.
@@Redseafish So on the 45 which is rated at 4000gph the minimum flow would be 4000gph? Is that correct?
Sorry I meant 400 gph
@@markster5719 Correct.
@@Redseafish Great you got a new customer... Thanks
@Red Sea What is the warranty period ? Do you offer the same warranty period for all components of the pump ?
Red Sea's standard warranty. You can read it in the link below:
www.redseafish.com/certificate-of-warranty/
Will the 25 be too powerful for a reefer nano?
You can tune it down, so it's up to you.
Do you recommend 1 or 2 units in a 36 gallon mixed reef?
1 should do. It all depends on the measurements of the tank.
Thank you for the answer. The aquarium is Length is 35 inches, Width is 12 inches, and Height is 16 inches. Are they available now?
@@cbut098 They will be available in most markets by the end of Jan 2020.
Nice looking pumps.
Thank you
Would they be suitable for a 50 gallon innovative tank? Need advise please
Yes, 1 RW25 would probably do.
@@Redseafish thanks. Where could I get them in Singapore?
Hi 👋 how I buy online to qatar 🇶🇦
You can find a distributor here:

As soon as they arrive to market, by the end of Jan 2020.
Color coding the parts and genius for reassembly
Indeed one of the better features.

I need 2 of them on my 350
when will i be able to buy them in Germany? I want them so bad!

Much better than Maxspect
looks awesome, but still has a cord in the tank. ill have to stay with vortech.
2 completely different pumps there are pros and cons for each device.
1x45 for a 525xl
You're probably better off with 2.
copy-paste of gyre from maxspect...

Maxspect does not have reef beat to inform you if the pumps are offline.
The price isnt listed one the website yet. How much for both?
The RW25- MSRP is $€£269
The RW45- MSRP is $€£309
Let's get this out already.

I've been using it for about two months now. SILENT so far.
Where did you order yours from ?
They are silent but you have to clean them every week to get the full power!
Yeahhhhhhh

I would have bought it right away if the wires wasn't in the water.
