Taz if any of those clothing items have an odd smell to them, please throw them out. Fast fashion companies like this usually soak their clothes in formaldehyde before shipping them (to preserve the fabric as most of them are made cheaply) and formaldehyde exposure is known to cause all kinds of neurological issues and cellular diseases. It also cannot be washed out of the clothes. Please be careful. I have to agree with other comments- no judgement towards you, but please don’t do a part two. TikTok shop and other fast fashion/drop shipping companies are so dangerous for the environment, our health, and labor laws. If you can avoid contributing to the problem you should.
If something costs only a pound or two (with free shipping on top of that) gotta ask yourself: how much of that money went to the person who made the product? Do they earn liveable wage? Are their working and living conditions decent? (The answer is definitely not.) :( The company is making little money or even operating at a loss just to gain popularity and encourage people to be mindless consumers and hopefully make their money back in the long run without any concern for their workers.

These fast fashion companies make billions of dollars of profit each year, yet they don't pay their workers fairly and force them to work in horrendous conditions. Tiktok shop will be operating with the same factories that Temu and Shein use, hence why they all use the same imagery. Please stop buying from such exploitative companies and shop with ethical brands, who deserve the air time and orders!!

Most (or all) of those clothing items were using stolen images from higher quality products in order to sell cheaply made drop-shipped dupes. That's one reason why you'd find the same image being used for different sellers at different prices. Google isn't as good these days at reverse image searching to find the original image, but you can sometimes find the original product by doing a little digging that way with the product images. And as everyone is saying, the products are so cheap because of exploitative labor practices. Same with Temu, Shein, etc. etc. etc. It reminds me of stuff I'd find going to the local bazaar where I lived in India for a while, but online instead of crammed into a maze of a thousand little crowded shop stalls.
TikTok shop seems to be dropshipping from Ali Express, and you pay the cost of the item, but the seller makes their money on the shipping costs, which are usually very low / free.
the catch is the low labour costs for those who make it and the mass consumption / insane amount of waste off the back of it :) :) :) disappointed to see this ngl

We need to do our parts as humans to ensure we buy from ethically sourced places - TikTok shop...Ali Express...Shein...Temu... while these often have amazing deals and cheap items - they also come with issues i.e. slave labour, child labour, underpaid, overworked workers, enviornmental issues. Could you do a video shopping from Vinted or Depop or even small locally owned businesses instead? Yes, you may be paying more but it's better than fast fashion/drop shipping companies.

I do get some stuff off AliExpress for DIYs and stuff but I try to avoid getting clothes there, they don’t actually last, the fabric is bad and the workers are not paid well at all. I think TikTok shop is pretty much the same thing

Hi Taz regarding the mic. Make sure the microphone is charged. There should be an on button on the microphone. Turn it on and it automatically connects to the Bluetooth dongle that is plugged into your phone.
once you've brought an item from tiktok shop they will charge you for shipping fees on future purchases. That's how they make their money from you. And they pay people on tiktok such as large content creators to promote their items on tiktok shop and they have to give it a good review no matter what.

Hi Taz :) Usually these items are very cheap because they're made with cheap and not ecofriendly materials, and/or by people/children who are not paid enough and work in pretty horrible conditions. Be careful with the tech stuff that overheat easily and can be fire hazards! :)
The price changing is because the cheap price was for a new customer to tiktok shop for your 1st item so if you buy 2+ you don’t get the cheaper price :(

Hey Taz! I've got a Lavalier mic too and once it's plugged to the phone and the mic is switched on - it should work. It does not involve pairing with bluetooth. Hope it helps :)
