I'm in my late 60s and have witnessed many family members face health challenges like cancer and dementia. A couple of years ago, I started feeling fatigued and noticed muscle weakness. After speaking with my healthcare provider, I decided to make some changes to my diet. I began incorporating more lean proteins like fish and chicken, along with eggs and cheese. I also reduced my intake of processed grains. Since then, I've felt fantastic and full of energy! It's incredible how adjusting what we eat can make such a difference. Just wanted to share my experience-maybe it can help someone else out there. Stay healthy! 🌟
I had a life-altering stroke 6 months ago due to a "non-senior diet." Today, armed with a drastic food change, I'm walking and driving again. Who's healthy in 2024 going into the new year? Live happy and die old. Merry Christmas, young ones and young Once. 😅

This is such a great list of foods for seniors! I love how you’ve focused on nutritious options that are not only good for health but also easy to incorporate into daily meals. It’s so important to prioritize nutrition as we age, and these 7 foods seem like a perfect way to do that. The variety of nutrients they offer is impressive, and I’m sure they can make a big difference in maintaining energy and overall well-being. Thanks for sharing such practical and helpful tips-I’ll definitely be adding more of these foods to my meals! 🌟🥗
Sir Much much thanks for your good heart for sharing this very helpful videos and very good content for all seniors like me. May God bless you more ❤❤❤❤❤
This video is a game-changer for senior nutrition! The breakdown of each food and its benefits, especially fatty fish for brain and heart health, was so easy to understand. Omega-3s reducing cognitive decline? That’s reason enough to stock up on salmon. Thank you for such practical and science-backed advice!
Leafy greens, fatty Fish like Salmon and Sardines, berries such as blueberries, strawberries and raspberries, whole grains such as oats, quinoa, legumes, nuts and seeds.
Amazing video! The tips are not only informative but also easy to implement. It’s a must-watch for anyone caring for seniors or looking to stay healthy as they age.
I am 69 and have watched most of my family decline and pass at an early age. Cancer, and dementia and autoimmune diseases where the reasons. 2 years ago I was getting sick, fatigue, weakness, muscle waste and IBS and depression. My dentist said to up my protein. I started to eat more beef, pork, fatty fish, eggs and cheese. I dropped ALL gains and started to feel better, cholesterol is good for the body. Fat is the reason our brains are what they are today. My diet is a Keto low carb and all my problems are gone. Feel fantastic. I notice more and more podcasts pushing the vegan diet. I will pass, check out Keto or Carnivore diet. Also the book, Grain Brain. My mother had dementia and her diet was high in grains, she withered away and after a hip fracture, passed away.
I'm also 69 and my heath has fizzled to almost zilch! I have been eating a very high carb diet for the last 6 years since developing Shingles (3rd X) over my butt and down my leg in 2018. I was not able to walk at all for 4 months! Sill can barely walk at 6 years! The reason I eat so bad is I cannot stand long enough to cook a meal, and so I grab a breakfast bar instead. I have been adding some fresh fruit lately. I also have autoimmune disease, but my doctors over the years can't agree with each other, Lupus or RA or Dermatomyositis, ect. Was also told I have ALS (Lou Gehrig's) twelve yrs ago. The last few months I feel so groggy I can hardly think, and have been falling asleep several x's a day! ... Total opposite of how I was for the first 68 years! (I never napped & and was awake half the night). I am going to ask for that book for Christmas, and start eating more protein! Isn't it funny how sometimes the best health advice comes from a Dentist, or a Pharmacist! I'm so sorry to hear about your dear mother 🌹 Take care Pamela.
This video was painful to watch, agree with you 💯, except for the Omega 3 and eggs, the rest is all B.S. we humans don't need fiber, all we need to eat is fatty meat, eggs, salt and water!!! Doing what this video says will keep you frail, weak and stuck on pills, carnivore or at least Keto is the answer, greetings from Down Under.
Absolutely loved this video! It's so informative and highlights the importance of proper nutrition for seniors. The connection between leafy greens and bone health was eye-opening-I had no idea about the role of vitamin K! Definitely sharing this with my family to ensure we’re all making better choices for our loved ones. 🌟
Had severe arthritis in my right hand for many years to the point were my doctor was considering steroid injections. I have also had back pain from a road accident when I was 16. Had followed the government and NHS guidelines on diet for many years, cut out animal fats, used vegetable and seed oils, margarine and limited eggs and dairy. Red meats were very rare in my diet. After my wife passed away 4 years ago I decided to change my diet completely. Eliminated veg and seed oils, started eating lots of eggs, cheese, butter and dairy. Red meat and fish often, particularly pork as it is a major source of essential nutrients. Cook mainly in animal fats. Cut down on carbs but still plenty of fruit and vegetables. Use olive oil and occasionally 'Cold Pressed' rapeseed oil. I cook from fresh or frozen with ready meals a rarity. Mainly a pizza once every couple of months as a treat. Within a year my arthritis had gone, I lost over 2 stone and I have just realised my back pain has gone. Not bad for an old codger aged 77. I can still chase the youngest grandchildren round and play garden badminton with them. My conclusion is 90% of good health is diet!!!! Always had backache from the age of 16 when I decided to argue with a van, the van won and I had a broken leg, a back injury and some short term memory brain damage. Over time the brain learns to ignore the pain although it is always present. Suddenly realised my back pain has gone. Says it all really. A real food diet is king!

Many seniors are diabetic and shouldn't touch those berries, and rather limit fruit intake. My diabetes is finally under control with a strictly carnivore diet - I just don't eat all that fat. I had 12 strokes while vegetarian/vegan.

GET TO IT!! You should have just listed the "7 foods" and then go into detail. Like most TH-camrs, you just drag it out for as long as you can instead of summarizing it at the beginning!!
Spinach and swiss chard are crazy high in oxalate. Kale is okay. No one with arthritis should be consuming foods that are high in oxalate. Read Toxic Superfoods by Sally Norton. Also, fiber does not help constipation and often makes the problem worse. Watch some Dr. Ken Berry videos before you add more fiber to your diet.
The jury is still out on fruits. As to carnivore diets, the animals are not necessarily grass-fed and can be full of antibiotics. What do you mean by "whole foods " exactly? I am afraid that can mean "grains."
@@zedonutube If you can't afford super-expensive grass fed beef, grain-fed beef will do. Just avoid high sugar food, like very sweet fruit. A glass of orange juice has even more sugar than a glass of coca-cola.

Since we live in the US which allows growers to spray pesticides on all our food, you do need to buy organic veggies, and organic meat. If you’re sensitive to oxalates, avoid spinach, or cook it. If you do your research you can find veggies with lower oxalates.
@@67wwwoman ~ OH WoW! I eat cooked spinach and I'm fine, but if raw, I always get sick! Nice to know...Thanks! I was exposed to a huge amount of Pesticides TWICE, and was unable to handle synthetic chemicals for over 14 years, had to avoid people like they had the Plague, their perfumes, colognes, deodrants, ect. would give me seizures.

@bunchie1966 i've been doing reaserch on eggs and if you do some reaserch, you will find from medical people that eggs can cause cancer to the prostate. I'm 78 years old and i tried my best to keep healthy.
The nutrition experts can’t agree on anything. They try to make blanket statements: “eggs are great” but maybe it depends…on your gender, your age, your personal weaknesses/illnesses/conditions, your exercise frequency/level, your amount of sleep, your supplements, etc

Do we really need plant toxins, oxalates, chemical fertilisers and pesticides though?
That is all bull, don't get sucked into that crap. I did for a while.
Since we live in the US which allows growers to spray pesticides on all our food, you do need to buy organic veggies, and organic meat. If you’re sensitive to oxalates, avoid spinach, or cook it. If you do your research you can find veggies with lower oxalates.
And meat with very little nutrients is better?😂
@@duanefrench3500wrong! many nutrients !!

Do you work for the egg industry?
He is just informing the People not you, who is willing to listen how to improve their health or to get well again. Don't criticize the person whose heart is willing to help other people who are suffering because you are one of the reason who is unwilling to help. Maybe because you are a doctor or you are protecting your job. People are opening their eye now and wants to be healthy by not listening to their anymore. By taking control of your own health is crucial
I thought that eggs cause cancer to the prostate.
Who told you that? 😂😂😂
@bunchie1966 i've been doing reaserch on eggs and if you do some reaserch, you will find from medical people that eggs can cause cancer to the prostate. I'm 78 years old and i tried my best to keep healthy.
@@victorortega9845 There is zero proof that eggs cause prostate cancer. Zero.
@@victorortega9845I am eighty and I think 🤔 that info about eggs has definitely been debunked. Blessings 🙏 🇦🇺
The nutrition experts can’t agree on anything. They try to make blanket statements: “eggs are great” but maybe it depends…on your gender, your age, your personal weaknesses/illnesses/conditions, your exercise frequency/level, your amount of sleep, your supplements, etc

Thank you ❤
