Thanks Captain, of all the input I got this one made more sense, finally got around to installing a MinnKota terrova (waiting on the bracket, being fabricated in your neck of the woods) and placed the sensor in that same spot.
Love your installs Cap! Can't wait to see how it performs on the water. I have a smaller Minn Kota for my 18 ft fishing boat, and you will love this feature. I can just sit it and forget it. I'm able to focus in much more on fishing rather than controlling my boat.
That is so true captain that is exactly what I'm looking for I think this is the way of fishing more fishing for everybody else that can afford this unit. Thanks and soon I'll show you how it went deep sea fishing captain thanks for watching
Nice neat job Capt. ! I was wondering if that cable was going to be long enough to reach to the dash. I know you planned it well in advance, and two feet to spare! There are a lot of boat-owners who are afraid to drill holes in their boats; I'm glad you and I are not one of them! ☺
Hooorraaa!! finally is perfect there ...Should put small table bit far from ur boat ..Re explain sucess story whats on boat..like Led ,minn kota ,etc.while u enjoy coffee and camerea from your back right side..will awesome
That's an awesome idea captain there's a lot of things I've done to the boat already it will be a good idea for a chat. I am going to do a live shot soon hopefully you can join, I usually do my life shots at 8 p.m. u.s. time
Very nice. You mentioned needing to add another bar for positive/negative. What else are you planning to add to the Crooked Pilothouse? You have done a fantastic job making that boat your own! Putting your own touch and making it work for your needs. I unfortunately am not that handy therefore all of those nice toys I had to order them as options on my boat therefore increasing the cost. I really like how professional all of your work looks. Everything very neat and tucked away. Was just curious as to what else you could possibly install?
Thank you Ed and yes the sky's the limit let me rephrase that the weight of the boat is the limit I can hardly add anything else heavy on the boat I'm already maxed out on weight but any sunlight I can probably put it in no more than 5 lb
Yes with a generator running I can charge the battery and try to make it back it is possible on great weather conditions if the sea is kind of rough there's no way but in calm seas it is very possible captain
Now it may take about two days to get back and the problem with that is if a big cruise ship or freighter is coming crossing the Gulf Stream and you cannot get out of the way as soon as possible you could be in danger there Captain that's another problem
Cap i think I heard the Bahamas are open now. Do you have any plans in the near future of going over. Really enjoy you r videos on catch and cook. be safe Cap.
The Bahamas is open but you have to get a coronavirus test within 72 hours which is almost impossible to make a trip that short of a notice it's been like that for a little while ready but until they don't take off those restrictions I won't be able to go but soon hopefully and thanks for asking captain
Thanks for being thorough. I appreciate all the work you do on your boat projects. I am sorry for joining your subscription late (seems you have some history with the manufacturer) but I am considering a similar boat (2130). Any recommendations?
Welcome aboard my channel captain and if interested on a boat like this make sure you take a surveyor to survey the new boat because this company has a lot of flaws on building these boats that I know of experience , and they did not treat me right, so I'm very disappointed on this manufacture captain and my advice is shop around for other brands too so you can get the best boat for your money. Anything else I can help you please let me know.👍👍
Captain, just installed my heading sensor in that same spot, I have a problem calibrating it, I called tech support and together we figured out the speaker below it could be causing interference. You didn’t encounter that problem?
No captain I did not encounter any problems with it because probably mine is a little bit more to the right than yours if you are probably 3 to 4" closer to the speaker that would make that would make a interference but in my location no problems at all captain everything works perfect So you may want to try it before you drill again and move it down forth to 6" and see what happens and then once you figure it out it's OK you can start drilling it to the top top of the pinehouse sorry that you had to go through that trouble captain let me know later how it works

Thank you Deborah you guys are awesome viewers👍👍
Nice video Cap. Do you think you could use the trolling motor to limp back 50 miles from open sea to land if you had a problem with your main engine?

To upgrade you electrical systems go with blue sea marine they make you expansion of you electrical systems a lot easier no more bars
Awesome Captain I will look into it
I want to send you a roll of BLUE tape man😂😂---looks good my friend--nicely done
Yes please! lol , you are awesome cap.👍⚓
Place a piece of masking tape the gelcoat and the drill bit will not travel when starting your hole.
I done that many of times but since this is hitting under the sensor I wasn't too worried about it but that's a good idea captain
