I'm 61 years old. Sitting here bawling like a baby. I sang this song with my Dad when I was 26, driving through West Virginia. He Passed Away the next morning. You 'kids' are Fantastic!!! God Bless you all.

Hey Bro, I can fully understand you. I'm over 50 and I thought I was one of the more tough guys. On the 22nd of October 2020 my Mama left this world after over 5 painful years following an aneurysma rupture in her brain...
Already at the passage "Mountain Mama" I felt the water level rising, but when they sung about the "teardrop in my eye" I had them both totally flooded, unavoidable, unfortunately.
As if we weren't suffering enough on the day of her burial, one of my uncles followed her...
Hey Will, if you like it or not, you'll better organize some more clothes in black as we cannot avoid getting into that age where all those of the generation of our parents, uncles and aunts are leaving.
In former times the family reunited in great meetings for the weddings, now we meet each other at the burials...
There's no way to escape. I always try not to burst out in tears during the burials for not to infect the rest of the family with wailing and somehow it works like it did in the army, but once back in my car on the way home it gets more and more harder and once I'm in my own room at home, I too can't avoid it.
Well it's a proof for love, isn't it, even if I was a bad boy who steadily got on his Mamas nerves during her living, the fact to burst out in tears at such occasions prooves that you lost someone you really loved.
This type of wounds only Jesus can heal, but thank God, He does it if you ask Him.
So long we have the possibility to surrender ourselves to Him, there is always hope!

Amazing how a hearing a song can bring back a flood of memories, good and bad. Yes losing someone you love is so very painful. I lost a dear uncle in December of 2021. As hard as it was I knew he was in a better place and not suffering because he knew Christ as his Personal Savior. What gives me comfort is knowing he’s in heaven with those who went before him.

When My sister passed she was laid to rest in the Shanadoha mountains Va. My brother in law told us that they picked this place because it was a beautiful and the Lord was there with them. God bless Southern Raised
Lived in Blacksburg, Virginia for 8 years and often drove over to WV for skiing in Snowshoe, canoeing, etc.. That was 40 years ago and I'm 64 now living in another country and longing for my days over there!
Country home in Paradise with Jesus and all His children, oh; I can not wait for that country home in Jesus.

Every time I here them it makes me think of my Burns family as a kid. My dad, grandad, great uncles, uncles and cousins, playing blue grass and Gospel on the front porch at granny’s. We’d have a yearly fish fry. It just feels like home hearing you guys. Our family still plays. I play bass, dad and brother guitar, my sons learning the guitar, my daughter has learned the guitar and keyboard. It’s just good honest family times. Continuing our Scottish heritage I suppose. Great sound guys. 💯

That song has a very deep meaning in my life and my 2 children live it the same way, I deeply appreciate that gift, the voice, the feeling, the guitar , the violin .... You always do great covers of some of my favorite songs. I grew up with country music like Johnny Cash, Flatt and Sruggs, Lynn Anderson, Buck Owens, and Roy Clark and I got the privilege to see many of them in person. But when the songs like Convoy, CB trucker, and Teddy Bear came out, I just had to change channels.
