Great beginner's tutorial. How long do clear stamps usually last? Can they wear out easily with excessive use?

Thank you for this tutorial I’m new to this, but I ordered some so that I could pre-stamped some designs into watercolour sketchbooks for my students. I ordered a waterproof archival ink. I hope that’s the right thing to use so that they can add watercolour over the stamp.
