    Staggeringly beautiful scenery all the way up that tough climb. One of our favourite National Parks but only made it a couple of times. We like the spectacular remoteness and loneliness of the place. We did not encounter too many other people here but did enjoy some snow while staying at the Chisos Basin. Great walk.

      We truly loved it here and plan on returning to explore more of this beautiful National Park. A tough climb, but well worth it. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome area to hike. The views of Chisos Basin and surrounding area are spectacular. We stayed in Chisos for the night and absolutely loved it. Such a beautiful area. Looked like you got some elevation on this hike. Pretty cool views up there. Those steep trails down are hard on the knees. Gives me shaky leg. Well done on your hike. Have a great day.

      We really loved this National Park, hoping to visit again . This was a great trail, and yep, that hike down was a knee killer, but well worth it for the views at the top! Thanks for watching!

    Looked a tough up but you were right about the spectacular, those views were amazing. Real nice to see some of the local wildlife and those views just got better and better and I can see why it is such a popular trail. Man 06.30 being late and only two spaces left sure proves the point about getting there early. Cheers Alan

      Hiking up is not typically the problem for us, it's the down! Knee killers...but well worth it after the views! Thanks for watching!

    Incredible hike - that view! Always appreciate your helpful advice about parking and when to hike. Big Bend is on our list of parks we haven't been to yet.

      It should be on everyones bucket list. A beautiful National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park is also equally spectacular. Thanks for watching!

    Gorgeous views! Challenging hike, but well worth the effort! Aren’t the Chisos mountains amazing, out there in the middle of the desert! I enjoyed seeing the vegetation and tree/ shrub cover, I’m sure that helped keep it cool. Great to see the deer and hear the birds. Wow, 6:30 am isn’t even really enough to start! Thanks for the hike! 😄⭐⭐

      Yes, we were running late, should have been there around an hour earlier, so felt pretty fortunate to get a parking spot! Thanks for watching!

    Big Bend is still on our list of places to visit. We've been to Texas a few times, but haven't made it to this park. One day we will get there. Not sure we'll do a lot of hiking. But would love to be able to camp there and drive some of the trails/roads. It really does have its own unique beauty. Ok, might want to do this hike. Those views are amazing! Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

      You will be glad you made the trek here. Spectacular part of the country with so much history and beauty. The drive alone is beautiful and there are many shorter trails to take. Make sure you reserve a campsite early on, as they fill up fast. Hope you get to make it there someday! Thanks for watching!

    Looks like a nice hike!
    A very helpful sign at there for people that don't know how much water they should be carrying. Err on the side of caution is best😁

    • @wanderingoutyonder
      @wanderingoutyonder  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should heed the warnings here. They typically have these signs in regards to water at all the trailheads in Texas. (atleast where we have visited) Although the temp might only be in 70s, the sun is very intense and will drain you pretty quick. Thanks for watching!

      @@wanderingoutyonder if I get the opportunity to visit Texas, I'll keep that in mind regarding the signs.
